Here’s a letter from the Run and Help (for Cancer Warrior Foundation) Organizers:

It is with deep sadness that we at Cancer Warriors Foundation and the organizing team of RUN AND HELP announce the postponement of the benefit run slated on April 3 to a later date due to low turnout. Pushing through with the event with little participation runs the risk of incurring more losses for the organizing team which will grossly affect the funds expected to be raised for Cancer Warriors Foundation. We are moving the event to extend the registration period so more people can run with us and help Cancer Warriors Foundation.

We thank those who already registered and hope that you will hold on to your race kits until we find a suitable date for the event. Let’s continue to engage in promoting this run to further our cause of helping patients with childhood cancer live a better life.

thats ok, for me this run is the biggest event of the the year, RUN FOR A CAUSE is indeed in this run. Come on guys!

wow good news for me. hnd ako nagregister dito kasi im out of the country by april 3. so ngayon pwd nako mag register for this run. :)

It was probably just bad timing. There is another run in BGC on this date plus 2 more in other areas. Hyundai will have their FREE fun run the day before, so some people who just want their fill of a weekly race have already enlisted here, and will find no need to pay for a Sunday run.

Its just too bad a race like this has to be shelved temporarily because of low turn-out. This is where our discerning runners should put their wallet where their mouth is.
Race not only to run, but to help in WORTHY causes.

mabuti ang run na para sa dolphins, umaabot sa 12k ang participants. pero pag sa mga kapwa nating tao na kelangan ng tulong, napo-postpone dahil sa low turn-out…

we should support their cause. pls invite friends. yung ganitong run pa ang nawawalan ng runners. dapat siguro iba ang venue. medyo di pa ganun kafamiliar yung ibang runners sa venue. i will support this. i was once a cancer warrior. pls spread the word. let’s do our share.
