It’s always been my constant hunt for the running shoe that can make be go sock-less, I almost gave up, until I found out about the Zoot Kiawe 2.0.
Immediately after trying on the shoe, I know I can run sock-less with these new kicks. The internal lining has a sock-like feel and a very snug fit, this is thanks to the BareFit Technology by combining their Dri-Lex and SmartSilver nano-tech for a seamless sockless wear.
Did a quick 10K training run with the new Zoot Kiawe 2.0, and i’m glad to say that the Zoot BareFit Technology did not disappoint! No blisters whatsoever!
The Kiawe 2.0 also incorporated a carbon fiber on the outsole that helps maximizes a smooth, powerful “toe off” called the CarbonSpan+ a technology that helps athletes run better after racing a bike.
Did you know that traditional running shoes can gain an additional 30% weight during a race coming from to sweat or water being poured and getting stored in the shoes? Zoot solved that with the TRI-DRY technology by developing a series of ducts and drainage holes in both the insole and the midsole that allows water to exit from the bottom of the shoe.
For now, the Zoot Kiawe 2.0 is going to be my favorite transition shoe. Still need to try to run with it beyond 10K, but so far I like it. This shoe is generally recommended for neutral with medium to high-arched feet and for athletes who wants to cut down transition time from bike-to-run.
The Zoot Kiawe 2.0 retails at P6,500 and is now available in partner stores nationwide. Check it out yourself!

I didn’t realize this until now. For sure this occurs during the last stages of a run when you’re already tired so even 30% is a lot. I realized my shoe is like a sponge and it takes quite a while to dry after a long run.
Any other shoe that anyone can recommend that is a little bit cheaper that doesn’t absorb as much sweat/water. P6500 is kind of steep for me.
