Outbreak Manila 2012 – Part 2 Anyone?

most importantly, sana may “CAUSE” ang run na ito.. :)

sure na sasali nako dito. nakaraan kase nag dadalwang isip pako kung sasali ako kala ko kase boring to. yung nakitak ko yung mga result discussion nila mukang masaya nga talga kaya try ko din kung masaya talga..

sana pwede isama anak para masaya. Fan kmi ng zombies! Hehe

yeah ryt.. Hopefully lhat mgkaron ng loot bag. And the last time we run for this, they say that if you save a flag, there would be a prize w/c we dissapointed when we get to the finish line. Sana pla binigay n lng nmin lhat ng flag then follow our pace, may medal p sana kmi..:(

There is one major flaw in this extremely fun run….because it happens in the evening of 28 July….A big bulk of the running community will be at the Milo Marathon to be held a few hours after. Mind you, not the next day but a few hours after. Ideally, we should be sleeping at this time especially if your running 10k, 21k and 42k.

I propose you move the date kahit siguro friday night before or kahit next week tutal after 5pm naman sya para mas maraming makasali…Sobrang enjoy kasi nung 1st run kaya its such a shame that I might not be able to join this time.

As of this time, ubos na ang 21k at 10k ng Milo sa Toby’s MOA. Although mag o-open daw ulit sila, it says a lot kung gano kadami ang sasali dito. I am not persuaing people to forego the Outbreak run, I am just saying, kung yung RU nga na ang daming detractors e nakakagather ng participants in the thousands, eto pa kaya na ang bayad lang is Php100 at Php500.

gusto kong sumali sa outbreak manila, kaya lang conflict sa milo marathon, i’ll be running the full marathon and I have to get enough rest… sana ma move yung schedule nyo… and how much nga pala…?

Moved na lang sana.. parang respect na rin sa Milo marathon (na pioneer ng mga running events sa Pinas)

May mga nagsabi din before sa Petron lakbay Alalay “Good Luck” dahil kasabay sya ng RU and yet sold out yung sa Petron and dami pa nag hahabol including me… Those who are joining Outbreak runs are somehow different from those runners who are joining runs like RU and Milo which are more competitive runs. It might affect siguro pero hindi sa point na lalangawin yung event… Remember there are more casual runners than hardcore. :)

kaya naging OK yun petron kase mura kase sa RU2 at iba yung route. =)

Is there an age limit? I’m only 13 turning on 14 and I want to be one of the zombies. Is there a payment to be a zombie. At first I wanted to run but then I saw the time and I got scared, because I’m not really a big fan of shock. So I decided to be a zombie instead. Also I’m gonna wear a helmet for mountain biking and gloves and shorts and a marathon shirt. If possible, email me the answer. IF possible you pick whatever is more convenient.

I’m just gonna wear a letterman jacket shirt jeans and hi cut shoes also will you provide the make up?

saw the trailer.. aattend ako dito at ganun din sa milo, ganun lang kadali di na need mamili :) 5k dito at 42k sa milo. .

Milo is a charity run. Yun ang isa pang dahilan kaya maraming sumasali dito. They have also set the date since April.

Outbreak 2 was set the night before Milo run. I don’t think mababago pa nila yung date kasi maraming kailangang i-consider.

Gusto ko ring tumakbo dito, lalo na at nasa akin pa yun costume ko nung 1st Outbreak. Kaso nga lang, baka maka-apekto ng malaki sa performance sa Milo. Sad to say pero mukhang pass talaga ako dito.. =(

may race time na bang ilalabas ngayun? last time kasi wala, sabi meron.

i can’t help but compare outbreak manila (nuvali) from running dead. almost the same lang yung registration fee, pero sa running dead may buffet dinner, sa outbreak wala.

the quality of the shirt was not even close, ang ganda ng souvenir shirt ng running dead, sa outbreak, cotton shirt na yalex.

lastly, may time yung run sa running dead, may rfid kasi yung race bib. sabi sa outbreak, maglalabas daw ng result, pero wala.

sa outbreak manila ako sumali last time but my sister opted to join running dead, and so i did compare. sana they would make a big leap this time, logistically speaking. despite some disappointments, it was fun though.

Milo is Milo.. wag sana i compare sa RU.. Have you run a Milo marathon? to tell you mga majority who will run are just casual.. considering na affordable ang rates.

That was my reaction for those who always say “Good luck” to a certain run that is on the same date with a popular run with the likes of “RU” and “Milo” which also happens to be a competitive and fully attended runs (Get my Point?) In this case just hours apart from each other (Outbreak and Milo)… And it is a fact that people who run this kind of event “Outbreak” are primarily casual runners (Fun Run). And the price of the race does always dictate the category of runners. Yung mga casual runners kahit mahal or mura basta gusto nilang salihan sasali sila, since their main objective is to experience and have fun. Bottom line is let it be, do not downplay a certain run kung may kasabay na sikat run. Yes, Milo is Milo and Outbreak is Outbreak and so with the rest… Get the drift???

*And the price of the race “does not” always dictate the category of runners. Erratum on my previous post. :)

night run.. very hard to take pictures of action shots.. i hope the organizers have made preparations so that photographers can take clear shots of the runners naman.. sayang mga costumes.

Guys wag kayo mag away kung MILO OR OUTBREAK ang pupuntahan nyo.. why dont you consider na training ung outbreak preparation sa milo diba .. masyado kayo negative kaya wala rin kayo mapapala sa pag aaway na ito .. make negative to positive .. tamang pag iisip lang sa tama utak… outbreak and milo marathon go ako !!!

No offense po pero di naman nakikipag-away yung iba. They are just sharing their sentiments kasi parehas nila gustong salihan yung both events. Yun nga lang, they are considering yung preparation needed for the run hours after the outbreak.

If you didn’t notice, 6pm start ng first wave ng Outbreak. Milo 42K will start 3am. Real runners know na di sapat ang magiging rest mo kung sasali ka sa parehas. Runners are just sad because they know how good both events are and they have to sacrifice one for the other which is, in this case, yung Outbreak.

comparing outbreak to milo is like comparing apple to orange. they are different races targeting different markets.

if you want a fun run being chase by zombies then join outbreak but if you want a serious run to chase a personal record then join milo.

simple lang ang buhay. tao lang ang nagpapagulo. :-D

Just go to Toby’s Shangrila or Runnr BHS on Friday the 13th to register. Extra 200 slots for each site.
