  1. ang cutoff ay cutoff. meron ba nasusulat sa handbook na i-adjust kapag umulan? ayaw ko umulan sa araw ng milo. ok lang kung drizzle para malamig-lamig. mahirap tumakbo ng 42k at me hinahabol ka na oras tapos uulan pa

  2. in case ganito pa rin ang weather sa event, here are some tips:

    -don’t forget your bodyglide.

    -wear the lightest garments (cotton)

    -wear your sun visor, or any cap you have.

    -para sa mga lalake, magdala ng 2 bandaid pantakip sa nipples =P

    you think #4 doesn’t make sense? pls google it…

  3. Reminder lang po sa mga nagbabalak bumili ng race kits sa ibang tao:

    Wag po bilhin ang race kit na walang kasamang singlet. It is clearly indicated sa handbook na runners should be wearing the Milo Singlet or else you will not be allowed to run. Yun lang po. But if swapping lang ng distances, pwede naman siguro basta you will be wearing the Milo Singlet.

  4. question: how if ung singlet na binigay is small, which ndi tlga kasya sakin (XL kasi ako)? ndi ba ako makakatakbo sa race nun since ibang singlet plan ko gamitin? please advice. thanks.

    there’s still time to have the singlet exchanged po. Nagtatanggap pa naman po sila ng exchange ng singlet as long as stocks are still available. Yung sakin kasi medium tapos pinapalitan ko ng large. Hehehe :D

  7. @maru : nabasa ko sa handbook yun. pero hindi ako naniniwala dahil wala pa akong naeencounter na bawal tumakbo pag hindi suot yung singlet nila. bib number padin mahalaga. tignan mo nalang tong mga link na to. milo din sa province pero team shirt nila suot nila;

  8. @brad: hindi nasusunod yung dpat singlet lang nila. yung pinsan ko sa tarlac leg sumali. ibang singlet suot nya. at kung matutuloy man yun na gnun.first time ko makakaencounter na ganun.hahaha.search mo nalang sa milo fb yung mga picture ng mga leg nila. makikita mo na hindi lahat nakasinglet ng milo!:P

  11. Sana may specific clause sa handbook tungkol sa changes sa cutoff pag umuulan sa raceday. Last year kasi medyo umuulan pero wala din yatang nakalagay sa handbook dati…

    nike run last year required everyone to wear the events singlet. so may event na kailangan suotin ang singlet. most of the time hindi naman required. nestle philippines subsidized most of the registration cost which is why it is low. and to some sponsor, it is the only request they would ask the participants

  13. i doubt milo will be strict about the wearing of singlet. i’m sure they’re well aware of the fact the not all runners were able to get the size they wanted. yes, they accommodate replacements but there’s no guarantee in it. however guys, don’t be too complacent. if i were you i’d still bring the official singlet if i’m not going to wear it to prove to them it’s not my size just in case. =P

    for ethical reason, wag na lang kayo mag-suot ng singlet na masakit sa mata ng mga sponsors (competitors, you know) at baka mawalis kayo sa daan =P

  14. guys, ang hindi pa po nakakapagpa-reg ng 21K at 42K na gusto po maka-habol,
    kahapon po open ang 21K and 42K sa TOBYS TRINOMA..

    around 4 in the afternoon po dumating yung 42K kits..

    everyday po kasi me nag-che-check po doon,
    THANKS GOD nakapagpa-reg na po me ng 42K para po sa isa sa kasamahan namin..

    i’m running for 21K, sana matapos ko po within cut-off time.. hehe.. :-)

  15. Singlet still a topic… I’ve noticed last year,,, some runners did not used the prescribed singlet. Oh well, but if you read and digested what’s been written on the handbook, better follow it guys. Respect their rules and regulations… though I am not sure if this time they will strictly implement it.

  16. pustahan tayo ung iba jan tatakbo ng walang singlet na suot lalo na sa 42k pwede namang nakahubad ng pangtaas eh! ( sa mga lalaki nga lang)

  17. FYI: singlet rule is not etched on stone. marshals will not stop you just because you are not wearing it. some runners do not use it because of size issues. this is based on actual milo experience and not on hearsays.

    patakbo mo na lang po sa akin. . sayo ang freebies at akin ang mileage + chance na makalibre ka sa december kapag nag qualify sa age category mo (kung 30 above ka hehehe):)

  21. @angelo – kung sa’yo pala ako magpapatakbo eh malamang pasok na pasok kasi 36y/o na ako… last year diba nakatakbo ka rin dito tamang chillax mode ka lang nuon… kasi biruin mo 42k naka vibram ka…hehehe :-)

    • @angelo – 35-39y/o 3hrs 50mins… last year trial lang ng marathon ngayon eh compete na… kaya siguraduhin ko na…

      sisiguraduhin ko ng madidisqualified na naman… hahahaha :-)

  22. kahit kulang na kulang ako sa training sige padin. bahala na si batman.. wala ng urungan to. think positive lang.. good luck satin sa 29…. 1st marathon ko to. pag hindi talaga kinaya no choice. mag lalakad nalang ako. hehehehe

  23. @messi-pondo ka ng relax na takbo hangang 21k. kain ka ng mga 2 saging. tapos power walk ka muna ng mga 5km para may energy ka. then takbo ka ng 5km. tapos power walk ulit. tapos last km takbuhin mo na para finish strong ka. do at ur own pace. pag nagpower ka 4 sure aabutan mo rin ung mga nauna syo at burn out narin un.

  24. 4 days na lang, takbuhan. excepted na ako. first time ko mag 21K. hope to finish at 1 hr and 45 mins. GOOD LUCK to EVERYONE!

    ilan weeks dpat ang recovery ko para 2umakbo ulit? nakapag reg kase ako sa regent ng 16k. masyado ata ako naging naadik sa run mukang maaga ako nito malulumpo.. hehehehe

  27. @ cavite boy. Kaya I trained under the rain for the last 3 weeks. Yung mga takbo ko ng tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays, and sundays laging umuulan. Ngayon sanay na akong tumatakkbo na basa ang medjas at sapatos.

  28. @messi–ok na 1 week recovery tapos itakbo na ulit yan. ung iba 1 day rrecovery lang ok na ulit. kung may run ka the ff week eh sakto un. no need na tumakbo for recovery. magpahinga ka na lang at magrelax. then banat ka ulit sa nxt race mo.

  29. ewan ko ba pero mas gusto ko umuulan… sa tingin ko rin pabor din sa iba yon dahil lalong bumaba ang chance ma heat stroke.

    last training run ko na mamaya bago sa linggo. Kinakabahan na at ilang taong ensayo papatak sa isang patakbo.

    First time ko mag attempt ng qualifying, sana kayanin at 3:52 pa ang PR ko sa full. Sana kayanin. Magkaka-alaman na kung may libreng bib sa december !

    I wish to use my running belt w/ bib toggles, but I’m afraid it may interfere with the sensors when I run (might fold or get hidden for some reason), so I’m pinning mine on the singlet.

    But I do use the belt for pinning the bib in other occasions. I guess kasi iba yung timing chip sa Milo; dalawa diba (on either ends). ;D

TO organizer od milo coach rio.. i have a problem about may race number in milo 21k.. nawala kc ung folder nanakaw mga things namin kasma ung race number ko sa milo.. pwede po b makakuha ng o mapalitan ung race number ko sa milo ung race number lang po… i need ur answer asap thanksung number ko sa milo 20704 my pictures lang me pero ung race number ko nawala n how can i run in milo on sunday … answer please thanks

    Huwag magalala… kung anong layo ng full sa milo, kapareho ng full sa olympics.

    Ngayon lang ako makakatakbo sa “calibrated” na full marathon. Good luck pare… habulin mo ang 3:50 !!!

    milo marathon race route map and traffic advisory is now published in the philippine star section A-25 dated 27 july 2012. please be guided accordingly.

  40. guys, any insight. nawala kasi yung race bib ko.nakaka-badtrip.ano kaya pwedi ko gawin? I’m running the 42k category.

    pag-check ko this week sa bahay for preparation.wala dun sa envelope ko ang race bib ko.

    pwedi pa kaya ako makatakbo nito at matanggap ang medal, loot bag at freebies if ever makatapos ako sa cut off time?

    may alam ba kayo sa ganitong scenario?

  42. @twinbee: definitely no. Lalo na if you will also take the nourishment and hydration of the 21k or 42k runners during sa pagtakbo mo sa longer distance from what you have registered.

  43. I am surprised not more people are pointing out the long route. If the run pushes through with the route that they’ve been publishing, we’ll be reading a lot of comments from frustrated 10K and 21K runners on Sunday. Mark my words, that route is 3 km too long.

  44. Kinakabahan na talaga ako. Pero pag nakikita ko yung singlet, sinasabi nyang Kaya Mo Yan! Hahaha. Good luck sa ating lahat lalu na’t umuulan at uulan for sure sa weekend. Sana umabot tayo sa 2:30 minutes… =)

  47. FYI to all 42k and 21k runners:

    1. Ingat tayo sa EDSA/Roxas Blvd. Flyover, dami sira lalo na yung Right Lane going south.

    2. Ganun din sa Baclaran Roxas blvd, dami din sira, may repair din ginagawa.

    Sana bigayan pag dating sa mga areas na ito. I hope injury-free tayo lahat.

  48. @clergyman: as far as i know.. you can still run.(as bandit na yun).. but you cannot claim your lootbag or medal..since you have no stub to present upon reaching the finish line :( try to show them your receipt ..baka um ok pa?i believe..
