BDO Unibank, in coordination with the BDO Foundation, will hold its 4th annual fund raising run dubbed as “Race 4 Life”. It will be held on March 25, 2012 (Sunday), from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Marathon Route of Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Proceeds will help fund the housing projects of BDO Foundation, Inc. for typhoon victims.

    ang finisher shirt pag naluma darating ang panahon rurupok ang mga sinulid non, ending basahan… wala ka na remembrance nasa isip mo na lang.. :)

    kapag may medal maipapakita mo pa yun sa mga apo apo mo, may katibayan ka.

    but i think runners deserve a medal naman as part of appreciating tapos BDO pa to, Henry Sy..barya lang sa kanya ang magpagawa ng medal.

  33. Very commercial na yung amount ng reg fee
    san lang mapunta sa dapat mapuntahan. Sa ibang race 700 ay 2 na makasali tapos ang dami pang give aways. Sana po to make thus race more exciting meron manlang sanang token or memorabillia na we have joined this fund racing event.

  39. Yes.. May finishers medal daw, nagtext ako sa organizer. Limited nga lang for the first 50 finishers per category. Kaya practice practice na pala magka-medal.. Dali!! Sakin okay lang na ganun.. Syempre mas fulfilling yan kapag isa ka sa top 50/category. O-divah!

    Ganda ng singlet btw! :) Love the color lalo na bagay sa year ngaun, Year of the Dragon! Kung Hei Fat Choi soon!!!

    To answer your queries, yes we shall be providing medals for the first fifty finishers per category. This will heighten the drive of runners to aim the top 50 slots.

  64. …medyo mahal ang reg fee compare dati, pero isipin na lang na for a cause naman ung run..pero sna nga me finishers shirt din talaga or else kailangan na magtraining talaga pra makalusot sa top 50 finishers at magka medal..hehehe ;p

  69. its for a cause naman guys!! wag puro medal ang isipin niyo,kundi yung makatulong…wag puro reklamo,kung ayaw niyo dahil walang medal o shirt,ok lang yan,wag kayong sumali.. :)

    wag naman top 50, paano naman ung mga bago lang nag-upgrade ng distance like me.(“,)

  80. yeah ALL 15k finishers dapat may medal kasi kung top50 lang yan elite runners na naman ang makikinabang pano naman yung mga nag effort?!! diba?!

    mag set na lang siguro ng LIMIT SLOT KUNG ILAN YUNG REGISTRANT FOR 15K.. kunwari tulad sa PSE 500 slots lang ang ginawa nila at lahat ng 21k finishers dun may medal..

    siempre US runners, lalo na yung inienjoy lang ang pagtakbo siempre somehow sa ganito lang kami makakakuha ng medal kahit hindi maka podium basta may medal sulit na sulit na yun..

    tignan nyo yung no speed limit.. sabi ng friend ko may medal daw talaga yun pero hindi muna nilabas sa public tapos maraming nangungulet ayun nilabas yung finishers medal design for 15k.. dumami supporters..

  85. ok yun na top-50 lang ang finisher para tayo na mga runners may goal…aq hindi naman aq elite runner in fact 2x plng aq sumali sa mga runs na ganito but i made it to the top-20 during those runs.i train properly with a goal in mind kasi for me i dont run para lang mgp-cute.

    to help fund the housing projects of BDO Foundation, Inc. for typhoon victims. The cost of the medal/finisher’s shirt that some of us are asking for will instead be allocated to those who are in need. IMHO, that should be enough motivation to support this run.

  90. We have to SURVIVED for TOUGHEST 50 RUNNER only for 15K. This is BDO RACE 4 LIFE.

    Hence our Support will proceeds and help fund the housing projects of BDO Foundation, Inc. for typhoon victims as advised by Organizer!

    try to look at run for pinoy glory 21k may finisher shirt, no speed limit ALL 15k finishers will get medal and finisher shirt, animo run all 21k finishers got medal and shirt..

    what i’m trying to say is, itong mga event organizer na ito small group lang sila or organization na hindi ganun kalakas ang kapit sa kung kanino mang sponsor pero nakakapagproduce ng medal at finisher shirt. it is their way of saying thank you, sa uulitin. and their registration fees? sulit..

    HELPING IS GOOD WALA AKO MASASABI DIYAN

    pero give some consideration din sa mga runners..kasi hindi naman na namin makikita kung saan talaga mapupunta yung registration fees namin e.. how can we be sure diba?!

    medal without shirt will do.. BDO kayo kaya nyo mag produce ng medal..

As mentioned by many, mas ok talaga if there will be a finishers medal and finishers shirt for all 15k finishers, I for one also looking at that when I first saw this event, but I believe that we can give it away fellow runners cause I had found out that 100% of proceeds of this event will go directly to the foundation to fund the project aimed by the event. I also found out that in the past 3 events that BDO had initiated they really give the full 100% proceeds to the foundation and helps many of our unfortunate brothers and sisters, young and old alike, this year the aim is to give shelter to the victims of typhoons that devastated our country as well as to the homeless families, we know for a fact that BDO is the biggest bank in the country and I believe that they will add more to the proceeds of this event to build more shelter to those that in need. We can also be part of it if we will support this cause and let us all run for shelter and let us all run to help our countrymen and be thankful that we can share instead of being the one in need. God bless everyone. :-)

  95. mag post naman po kayo kung may finisher shirt sa 15k or medal para naman po wala ng gaanong katanungan galing sa amin,

    pero para sa kin dapat po may medal sa 15k para naman po mayroon kaming maitatabing ala-ala mula po sa inyo,

    marami po kasi ang naghahangad na mga runners na magkaroon d2 sa patakbo nyo ng finisher shirt or medal at isa na po ako dun,

    ung last year nyo ay may finisher shirt kayong ibinigay, tutal naumpisahan nyo na po na magbigay bakit di nyo pa po ipagpatuloy,

    para sa ikasisiya ng mga mananakbo na magbigay ng anumang biyaya galing sa inyo, para patuloy kaming tatangkilik sa inyong patakbo taun-taon,

    nagpapasalamat po ako ng marami kung ito’y inyong matutupad pero kung hindi ay nagpapasalamat na rin ako sa organizer ng patakbong ito sa TRI N’ MOTION,

  96. The teaser indicates that the 750php registration fee includes race kit (bib, singlet, race route). This is quite expensive compared to the other running events that we have signed up for this year. Hope the BDO and race organizer will re-consider lowering the reg. fee or at least include some freebies to make the run more exciting like finisher’s shirt and medal. We have joined quite a number of fund-raising running events with reasonable joining fees.

  97. Hello FYI lng po. We don’t have finisher’s shirt for the past three years of our fund raising activity.
    BDO were able to donate houses to Brgy. Kaypian Bulacan and illegal settlers of Makati were the beneficiaries of it.
    For this year, we initially planned to hand first 50 finishers’ medals for 3k and 5k categories and 100 to the 10k and 15k. We are still in the process of finalizing everything and your comments are highly appreciated and taken into consideration.
    We hope to see you in our activity and join us in our plans of building shelters for the victims of the typhoons that recently hit our country.

  98. I just hope with a reg fee this expensive for a 15k race then no medal or shirt will be given, a huge chunk of the fee will go to the intended beneficiaries.

  99. run for a cause is a good advocacy and for all runners it’s important also to have a medal or something which they will remember and remind them that they are part of it… Masaya na tumulong sa kapwa at masaya rin na may naaalala tayo… kaya sana may medal na ang lahat ng sasali ahahahaha…. or kung mgtitipid man ang BDO much better if they will give certificate diba…. kaya go runners…. good luck and continue helping others….

  100. i work for BDO and i myself is a member of the BDORC,kaya i know na diretso po tlga sa BDO foundation ang proceeds ng race for life…

    pero as a runner,sana naman po merong token/something kahit para dun na lang sa mga 15k finishers. tutal, 1st time naman po ata mag-add ng ganitong distance e, why don’t we find ways for that? kung nagtitipid po, kung di kakayanin ang medal,kahit finisher’s shirt na lang. iba rin po kasi ung feeling of achievement ng runners,at hindi po biro ang tumakbo ng ganung kalayong distance. isa pa,may remembrance pa for this BDO race for shelter. :)
