  1. Good Job and well organized! :) special mention to the primetime peeps! Jay burgos and Martin Aquino.. Good job!! :) laki ng activity area, comfortable.

  2. Very organized run. I enjoyed the 5K again running with my wife. Ok din yung medal. Walang siksikan din sa pagclaim ng lootbags. Naligaw lang ako sa parking area ko He He He.

  3. I noticed that there aren’t as many people that joined this year’s #KOTR2011 WELL YOU MISSED A LOT! Congrats @adidasph for best ever race!

  4. Congrats run rio!Hanggat may kalsada ang BGC, hanggat may araw na Linngo, tuloy tuloy natin ang takbo! Congrats sa lahat na finishers!

  5. Talking about a big turn-around from last week’s Nike We Run Manila, RunRio did a very good job in todays event. Very organized and the fanfare just never stopped. Not only that it is my first time win in a raffle in a running event ever. This KOTR will go down as one of my most memorable event for 2011. Hooyah!

  6. its definitely a big turn-around. run and event organizers really did a great job! :) chka nde msyadong congested, kaya ang gaan sa pakiramdam

  7. well organized race. maluwag ang activity area. may free massage pa! at nakangiti si coach rio this time nung nagpakuha kami ng picture hindi kagaya nung sa nike. ;p

sulit ang registration fee. medal, very nice singet, freebies, etc. sana laging ganto lahat ng runs. :)

  8. Coach Rio himself was personally doing the rounds on his bike …. it was a very good event, I am glad I joined this one…

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everybody…

  9. One of the events that I loved. It was very organized! The racing course was well planned, bottomless powerade and water at every hydration station, lots of portalets around (even in some of the hydration stations) and you can even see Rio manning the actual races! The bonus point…the weather is cool! Very nice event, happy that I was part of it.

  10. daming sponsors! umuulan ng freebies. so guys, bawi ni si coach ah.hehehe. nice run, nice course, great whether…plus singlet (lupet). i saw pf booth kaso nahiya ako dumaan dahil daming runners nakatambay! sir jeff i also want a shirt na my name print sa likod!hahaha

  11. Very well organized. It was fun running in this event. The difference between last week’s nike we run and this one is like night and day (pun intended). The number of hydration was right on. I had a blast running my first 16.8k. Good job guys.

  12. Comment: No comment…

Wish that all races are like this one. Not the price but the execution of every details… Keep it up!

    Adobo run… here we come…

    Run safe!

  13. it was nice, did not able to break my PR though, just a minute away from breaking it…probably next year…new balance and QCIM naman!!!

  14. congrats to all finishers!

id have to say coach rio is always hands on. saan ba tayo nakakita ng race organizer na umiikot to check on things. does that happen on other races? ni hindi pa natin kilala ung organizer sa ibang events. at least runrio has a face that we can go to whether it is a good or bad comment

kudos to adidas and runrio team for a job well done!

malayong malayo ang experience compared to last year. pwedeng maligo sa hydration stations. ang ganda ng medal. ang luwag ng activity area at hindi nagsiksikan ang mga tao. this serves as a testament that adidas should get a professional race organizer

  15. @bayrunner

Coach Rio always makes it a point to personally monitor the routes and check out on runner’s conditions in his (Yamaha?) bike. very hand’s on talaga as the Race Director. even if he ran let’s say a 5K, after which, back to his radio and constant checkin up with his staff and team…dun mo sya hahangaan, that’s why i so labs him! ayan, nire-declare ko again hehe.

too bad, we didnt see each other but im sure you enjoyed your latest half mary, congwatsz! was the Kalayaan Flyover nicer to you this time? ;)

  16. @barefootdaves

glad to see you and Armbanded Billy along Buendia. si Bry humaharurot sa flyover and si Eugenator as always parang laging hinahabol si Roadrunner, hehe. ang bilis! nag last min back out ung ipe-pace nya sna at 16.8K. i shld have volunteered na lng pala, hehe. new PR na sana! ;)

High 5…ah no, High 10 to your comment!

  17. Sa mahal ng fee at tagal ba namang hinintay ang run na ‘to ewan ko nalang kung may negative pang masabi dito! Plus lessons learned by Rio from last Nike run ha ha!

  18. Very few joined in.. Compared to last year… Very manageable number of runners for run rio… Hope ganun nalang palagi.. Instead of extending reg period consequently leading to a near chaotic event area and more of a walk than run on route bottlenecks, a limited number of participants is more convenient to all…. Kitakits sa run rio leg 3 run happy… :)

  19. CONGRATULATIONS!!! It’s a well organized event. Naka smile na si Coach Rio… very funny, di maka alis si coach dahil dami nag papa pics. Kaya we shouted, “tumakbo ka na”,hahaha… Successful talaga sya unlike Nike… :D

  20. Everything was tops, except I never get a share of the bananas along the route in all the runs….hahaha! I do see faster runners get some for their slower running friends and pass it to them. All in all I enjoyed the new route, left me with more wind even after crossing the finish line.

  21. Great Run! Perfect weather for running! I hope the running conditions are similar for the Afroman run. See you there!

  22. First ko sa 16.8KM. It was so hard and challenging but it’s all worth the experience. Grabe hirap na masaraap.

Congrats to Coach Rio. This is perhaps the best event this year.

  23. One more thing. Ang ganda tignan ng race kasi very colorful and suot ng mga runners. Parang kala mo me fiesta sa daan. Proud ako to be part of this race. Tapos and dami ko pa pictures. Sana marelease na agad ang results and photos.

    Cheers!!!

  24. This is a great run. I really felt I was treated as “KING OF THE ROAD” – everything was organized, hydration (Cold water with Powerade), road markers, marshals, and even Coach Rio was there to monitor all checkpoints. Two thumbs up for Adidas and RunRio!!

  25. hello guys! Kudos to all KOTR 2011 Runners!

btw, unfortunately, i lost my graded Ninoy-type eyeglasses (black frame). if anyone found it, please let me be informed. 09326848844

    Thanks!

  26. I definitely enjoyed this my 16.8K run. I guess my 1,300 bucks is definitely worth it. :)
Kudos Coach Rio for another well-organized race. :)

  27. ayos ang run na beat ko PR time ko dito sa KOTR kaso disappointed lang me sa bag iba iba ang laman dapat all same kaya yung iba nag kakagulo

  28. smart move to start in waves…I think this is the smartest solution to over-crowding :-) I hope they implement this for all races which they expect a big turnout of runners.

  29. …KOTR ROCKS!…it was my first 21K and the entire experience was exhilarating…the event made a very good impression on a newbie like me…cheers! cheers!…

  30. Whew!! Tha best run so far for me. Great executions, lots of hydration (powerade and water, not congested, overflowing coke (hahaha). I even broke my PR record 21k category from 2.17 previous to 1.56!!! Great!!! Thanks stripes and Rio.

  31. the reason why nka-smile ng mas maganda at maaliwalas si Coach Rio at yday’s @KOTR as compared to last week’s other event, is becoz ang daming napasaya at napahangang runners/participants/supporters ng much-awaited KOTR 2011 na ito. well-managed and well-organized indeed ;)

from the very early publicity, to the Kick-Off and finally the big day kahapon, thank God everything went smooth even the weather really cooperated!

our heartfelt thank you’s again to Adidas, RunRio Team, all the Sponsors and other companies who pitched in here. Congrats!
You all made us feel Kings and Queens of the Road!

and of course part of the success goes all to us 4,000 plus runners who all did our share to help make this event a truly smashin hit!

  32. it was my best run for this year, very well organized :) job well done to Runrio!

anyone knows where can we find more photos from this event? thank you.

  33. If Unilab can go up to Leg 3 in a year siguro pwede na rin ang Adidas…. I hope Runrio will hit the perfect 10 record in organizing running event para iyabang natin ang pinoy marathon, who knows “Standard Charter Phillipines” pwedeng pwede. Request lang, Just add a new safe place we can run with good parking near the event (Free sana short time parking lang naman). Thank U Adidas, well done coach Rio.

  35. ok na sana ang event, but we all want the race result like bazu does it. to me, it is more valuable than the medal and freebies as i want to track my running history and improve my personal best. it is rather disappointing.

  36. donde esta mi nombre? overall, this race is not that perfect, it seems, pero ok lang, enjoy naman ako sa takbo, is it still possible to retrieve my race result (wishful thinking) haisst…

  37. i thought it was really a good event! nice run! awesome! well..DISAPPOINTING race result! when i step the finish line it is 1:59:35 that is my gun time. In the race result my chip time is 1:59:23

  38. I am loving my finisher’s medal, a new PR and 163rd ranking. My very first KOTR and quite impressed with how organized it was. Plus daming freebies. Next in line, Unilab, HSBC, QCIM and Milo, all level up!

  39. adidas kotr was good overall. it was well organized and implemented. i was disappointed however when i found out that there was no record of my run, whatsoever. I also noticed that there were a lot of runners who were not identified properly. perhaps the machine was not working perfectly. improvements next time might be in order.

  40. KOTR… I will never forget this, nice event, sufficient hydration, fine weather, I was able to talk and see a lot of runners (friends). But what makes this run special to me? Well this is my first HALF MARATHON RUN (21K). Katakot at first, without training and running buddy. my target is to finish it 2hrs and 45mins, but I was able to cross the line shorter than that, (pumila pa ako sa portalet during the run) ehehehe ang saya ko lang… =) Sulit ang pagligo ko sa sariling pawis. Good job Runrio Inc.

  41. San na result ng 16.8? Yun pa naman pinakamahal…… pinakamatagal din lumabas result. Those who ran at this distance of course expect some premiums. Quite disappointing.

  42. Garmin vs Official Time: Garmin recorded 21.17 km on this race. Is it accurate? If so, can I shave off the extra 0.17 km so I get the exact time at 21k? Lol! BTW, anyone knows where to view Official photos? Thanks! Hope everyone’s recovered!
