  1. wow…very haunting print print ad invite here! ive heard of this event since last year and if schedule willing, shall definitely sign up for this trail challenge in very historical Corregidor.

i spent overnight in the island last Summer and its so worth it! what more if im going to run with my runner buddies?

  2. Simulan ng maghanap ng sponsor este pang register. Last year, I think it’s P2,500.00 including ferry to and from Corregidor plus bag and medal.

I want this race to be my concluding race for 2011. Yey!

  3. //@BayRunner: @Journey To Life: @gumihorunner: @c21: @talldarkchinito: @kate: @Ms_Mars: let’s conquer corregidor..!

//this is the race that could wrap up 2011..!

  4. sure…walang kakarir dito dahil mag ghoghost hunting ako sa tunnel hehehehe…dmi akong nsagap na feedback na meron daw talaga, kaya ready natin lenses natin hahahaha…

  5. @Suplado_aKo
yes yes yo! c21 and myself are as excited as you are in conquering Corregidor!

lookin forward to my 2nd time in this awesome historic island! ;)

  6. Gosh hindi ba pwede i move ito ng dec. 17??? The following day milo finals na;{ I have been wanting to join this since last year, palagi na lang may conflict

  7. I ran the 2009 and 2010 races – so totally worth it!

    Tips:

    1. Register early so you can score good accomodations. The rooms at Corregidor Inn sells really fast.

    2. If at all possible, arrive at the island the day before the race. In the past years, the ferry leaving for Corregidor on the race day itself arrived late – major hassle.

    3. Sunscreen

    4. Bring your own snacks. The food at Corregidor is a bit pricey. Although last year, the organizers staged a carbo-loading party for those who arrived the night before.

    See you all there!! :)

  8. @drunner

Ah hindi kasama sa registration fee yung accomodations. As soon as you register, you may start calling yung mga hotels inside Corregidor. They would require advance deposit though.

Aside from Corregidor Inn, there are other options (Corregidor Inn is the nicest, but also the most expensive).

  9. Sino sino ang maaga magparegister dito pls let me know so i have somebody with me if i will join here. mas marami mas masaya.

  10. @j.p. navarette – do you think it is ok to bring my tent with me for an overnight stay in the island? it would be more exciting and adventurous to pitch my tent on this historic island? do they have restrooms for tent campers?

  11. THINK TWICE THIS TIME…. I WANT TO JOIN THIS FUN. HOWEVER, I PROMISED TO MY GF CAMSUR IS MY LAST RUN DUE TO TIME CONFLICT WITH HER.. BUT, IT’S MY LIFE….MY PASSION… WANT TO JOIN NO MATTER WHAT…

    AYOS!!!!

  12. @DunhsKie: why not invite your GF to Corregidor and ask her to cheer for you if she can’t run? Better if encourage her to run with you during your training days. Magandang bonding ang pagtakbo. Even my wife ganun dn sya dati. Pero di ko in-expect na ma-appreciate nya ang running after she earned her first Finisher’s Medal last month. go for it, bro :)

  13. gusto ko sali dito kaso wala ako kasama di ko sure kung go mga kawork ko last april nagpunta kami bataan run for light and sobra enjoy yung kateam ko taga bataan sana takbo sila para magkakasama kami pero pag wala eheemmmm to all pf yung pupunta baka puwde ako sama sa inyo hehehe

  14. @barefootdaves & Marvin

yeah your right bros. ang hirap kasi kung maging barrier pa GF sa mga sports activities natin..hehehe.. But this time i exposed her into running. the first run she did was the Milo marathon.Pero ang hirap pa rin paghindi mo talaga passion…hehehe..she’s always complaining then.. wala talaga sa heart nya ang ganito activity.. well, anyway, thank you for the comments bros.. and hoping to see you in one of the upcoming runs..

    AYOS!!!

  15. Promised myself to sign up for atleast 1 trail run before the year ends…

    I think i’m gonna have 2 instead…

Nathan Ridge (kung dito lang ‘to sa Pinas)
    and Corregidor…Woohoo!!!

Teka, pano nga pala kung parehong venue lang both races??? Hehe…

  16. oh boy…I thought dec 17 ito… so conflict to sa Milo finals hay!…sana talaga organisers would be conscious of spreading the good races around the whole calendar year…this october alone parang sisikan na nga. Livestrong eh kasabay ng Avon..parehong maganda ang advocacy nun..so pili pa rin kami ng isa ng GF ko..sana by any remote chance nga e mag december 17 to..pero I have to decide soon.

  17. Good News sa mga alumni ng 1st CIHM…meron special advance reg. Try to check ur emails. My best run last year! Challenge kung challenge!

  18. Hindi ito trail run – partly yes but most of it is on road… and yes there are is a killer hill on the course. I beleive this run is only for 21K runners, so yung mga 5K and 10K runners eh maglevel up na kayo if you want to join. and Yes, this is a challenging course…

  19. Pwedi ba mag camp? Tara tryx..let’s bring our tent and invite more runners to camp..pwedi ba dun sa spooky tunnel? Joke …:)

  20. sir sure bang pwedeng mag camp? magkano po ba overall ang expenses.. naguguluhan kasi ako kung magkano talaga eh. thanks in advance!

  21. I should join, this will be my 1st here. Best thing is, dito lang ako galing ng Bataan, so maybe no need to stay overnyt. Bad thing is, sana may bangka / ferry papunta.

  22. @artbreaker: our last year’s event ay madaming camper. walang problema sa CR and shower room, just bring your snack and other drinks coz it’s a bit expensive in the island kasi nanggagaling pa sa Bataan or Cavite and supply nila. You could just immagine how expensive the tranfo is,kaya register and kitakits tayo. o by the way bring extra blanket it is cold at night.

  23. May mga nagregister na po ba dito among the forumers here? kasi po gusto ko na magregister..e parang wala pa po gasinong balita from anyone who has particularly registered. thank you.

  24. @ChrisL

kung last year po ay first 800 runners lang, baket po yung participants list posted sa events website just shows 350 & just about above 300 finished?

    thank you po.

  25. @Lance A. : The island run is very challenging, romantic, bonding and memorable. Some register but did not actually run because some stay behind to cheer at the finish line. Last year is my first 21k and finish the race enjoying the scenery, the ruins, and memory of our gallant WWII soldiers. Even the ghost at Malinta Tunnel seems cheering when we pass their stronghold. Sali ka na bruder & bring your camera, cellphone etc.. you will just run 10k coz the rest is FUN.

  26. @NRino

thank you sir. nagregister na po ako pati po GF ko.Sana nga po yung 10km marker lang ang may imposed curfew, but this year may changes po hanggang 15Km e may curfew po. Nevertheless, we’ve registered.thank you sir. Season ender po ito for us!

  27. @sir arnold

Hindi po ako organiser dito. But I got po my confirmatory email 1 day after I registered online. Siguro po they check naman immediately their account with BDO & as soon as they have reconciled that you indeed paid the required amount, they send you the confiramatory email ASAP. Ito po e based lang sa experience ko.

  28. @sir Arnold

weird po kasi yung online site..After carefully filling up the page with your details (& this means that you have paid already in the bank, as you would have to furnish them with bank payment details when you register), and CLICK Submit form…ni wala na nangyayari. It doesnt display a message like — Thank you we will process your application shortly. Basta na lang sya maeerase lahat ng finill-up mo when you CLICK SUBMIT.Tapos okay na pala yun. Hmmm.Scary part po yun. When I checked my email meron preliminary letter dun. Then after 1 day, I got my confirmatory letter po.

  29. hirap nga po maghatak ng kasama..may mga company x’mas parties na daw sila, plus yung iba ko naman na usual kakilala e turned off sila race cut-off times.hays! anyways, kasama ko naman yung GF ko, wag lang sasabit na maaprove ang vacation leave nyaa..train muna for the meantime.hehe.see you guys!

  30. @Miguel:

manual registration starts on nov 21 til dec 4 @ ROX, BHS. you might consider the late registration fee and the slots open for 10K…

  31. I want to run, pero my wife and kids also want to join with me for sight seeing only. Pwede ba sila sumama even hindi sila tatakbo? Please advise…

  32. ako wala din kasama hahanap makasama… cinu pwede hehehe…txt ako 09158487151.. mahirap maging alone … mahal kasi kaya dami ayaw…

  33. @ katie: yes, you have to pay first before registering online coz you have to supply the payment details on the registration form.

    hope this helps.

  34. Finished the payment at BDO yesterday for 10k and 21k. Filled-up the online form and received email that they will confirm the payment. Sya nga pala, the organizers were nice enough to answer my query for me coming from Bataan and not Manila. Excited for that last event of 2011! See you guys…

  35. sir mon

i’ve read some portions of your blog. Very well written & insightful. Hope to meet you in person at the CIHM. My GF & I are registered for the race.

  36. hi! just want to ask what time is the race? yung confirmation letter ba na isesend via email may nakaindicate na details on how to make a reservation for the ferry trip? thanx!

  37. @Lance A.: I’ll probably post my bib number at my site

@chumiko: yes the confirmation email will give you instructions on how to book the ferry trip. Make sure you say that you are a CIHM runner.
