  1. @gary_m, point taken. i simply find it unfair that you’ve compared 2 organizers coming from different thrust?

its like comparing hyundai fun run with any race out there. imho, comparison is not apples to apples. runrio team has been providing us so many races for the past years. then how about animo events management? or perhaps i’m not fully aware on the extent of their 18 years of professional existence. in addition, the fun run handled by animo has leveraged on volunteerism on the most parts

commercialized you say, true. one needs to eat. that is fundamental. question is, how races out there isn’t? st peter? hyundai? r4j? runrio love series have beneficiaries. a couple from runrio manila series supports different foundations

regarding on the 3 points you’ve mentioned, cant say anything on the pre-event because i’m satisfied so far. race proper? i’d always feel safe with runrio. coach rio himself runs thru the route (at least 10k) to check on things. and perhaps an isolated case – almost got sideswiped by a jeepney during greentennial run. post-race? i know they are still working on the kinks with bazumedia but admit it that photovendo did a great job in providing our race photos. also runrio have set a bar in releasing race results within 12 hours

and if you’ve went back even up to last year (2010), you’d see there people swearing that runrio races is the best

i guess because of their past performance, people get easily frustrated when simple things go haywire (like singlet availability) because we almost always never had this issue before. and that is understandable. and when we pay something less (nonrunrio races), we automatically lower down our expectations and hope for the best

do i work for coach rio? no. these are all my personal thoughts. will no longer pursue this topic. hope to meet you personally so we can discuss more and have a better understanding of your insights on race organization

  3. same sentiment as reydor. almost a month after the race, wala parin medal na dumadating… its very disappointing, especially because this is my first 21k race and i’ve been dreaming of my first 21k medal… makes me want to boy**t the MIZUNO brand, just to get even… hope MIZUNO realizes that this is bad publicity for them… gawin nyo naman ang dapat para di mawala ang tiwala ng mga tao sa brand nyo…

  4. wag na natin asahan na ipapadala ung mga medal natin !!! last year sumali kami sa mizuno tagaytay highlands hndi namin na claim finisher shirt dahil sa hndi na available ang medium size nag promise sila na after a week pwede na namin e claim sa mizuno magallanes pero up to now wala pa rin ! 2011 sumali uli kami sa tagaytay highlands anak ko naman nanalo sa 5k ng youngest runner to cross d finish line ung prize nya hndi ko rin na claim dahil sa hndi na daw namin inantay ung distribution ng awards . papano naman namin maantay eh ang tagal ng awarding nila !

  5. thanks po bingski for the photo. ngayon ko lang nakita. di ko na kasi binabasa dati ang previous comments. thanks po ulit.

  6. Mizuno emailed me yesterday saying i can claim the finishers medal on their Magallanes branch. Instead of promoting its brand through this run eh ang nangyari baligtad. For sure most 21k runners who joined will have second thoughts on joining again any Mizuno organized run. As for me, that would be my first and last. Walang word of honor.

  7. @johnny I agree with you, hindi lang sa pagsali ng mga future runs or promo nila pati product line ng mizuno boycott na rin…

  8. Wow nakuha ko na finisher’s medal at Privilege Card ko sa Mizuno Infinity Run sa store nila sa Bonifacio High ang ganda pala. Salamat kay RJ sa pag txt and God Bless to Mizuno and Staff…

  9. @martzky hehe yeah…pansinin nyo mga outlets nila wala ganong pumupunta. few weeks ago bumili ako ng bagong running shoes, nagpa-gait analysis muna ako sa runnr and after that 1 sa nirecommend sakin for my foot type is ung mizuno shoes for mild/overpronator. ibang brand na lng aside sa mizuno sabi ko sa nag-assist sakin, hassle yang brand na yan. New Balance tuloy nabili ko yung latest model pro napamahal ako ng 2.5k. Ouch!
