More than 700 runners blazed the trails of Timberland Heights last weekend at the 3rd Lagalag Sundown Eco Trail Run in San Mateo Rizal. The raced featured a 6K, 12K and a 25K Sundown Trail Race that started around 3PM.
I raced the 6KM together with my friends Marky, Nino and Risha, and what supposedly was just a leisurely race became a threshold race for all of us. It started when Risha told the group… “Guys, I wanna try and race this event”
This was the 2nd time I was able to run around the trails of Timberland Heights, the first one was during at the first Spartan Race PH that happened last 2017, but back then it was rainy and muddy and you can’t really run. But this time, the trail was dry, so I really enjoyed running the 6KM route. Sad that this route is only available for events and is not open to public on normal days.
Congratulations again to the organizer of the race and to those who participated and conquered the race!
