It’s that time of the year again! Starbucks just recently announced their 2017 planners. This year Starbucks is introducing 2 designs, coffee stains and blue siren, both in hardbound cloth covers.

The much awaited planners also have several add-ons this year, both comes with an erasable pen, magnetic bookmark, coffee stickers and discount coupons.

The mechanics to get a planner is basically the same this year, starting November 2, you need to collect 18 stickers by buying a combination of drinks from the holiday and regular menu in exchange for a planner.

Now this is where it gets tricky, normally this promo unconsciously forces us to consume more coffee than usual, or make us upgrade to the higher calorie holiday drinks in exchange for our regular. Well, that’s OK, as long as we know the cost of our Starbucks Planner in Calories.

Here are the assumptions. What we want is to consume the least amount of calories in exchange for a Starbucks planner, and we need to consume 9 regular and another 9 holiday beverage.

The best combination is to go for the short Peppermint Mocha with 240 calories and the Short Brewed Coffee (Black) with 5 calories, multiplying each by 9 it totals to 2,205 Calories.

Here are some suggestions on how to burn these calories up!
1. Running ~ 3 Hours and 5 Minutes or approx. 21KM Run
2. Swimming ~ 3 Hours and 40 Minutes or approx. 11KM Swim
3. Cycling ~ 3 Hours and 20 Minutes or approx. 100KM Ride
4. Yoga ~ 5 Hours

So that’s it! Now go get that planner! (or both) Remember, you can always share the calories with a friend ;) I like the Peppermint Mocha too.
