The Teresian Carmelite family all over the world is organizing events and activities for the coming 5th birth centenary of St. Teresa of Avila on March 28, 2015. St. Teresa of Avila also known as St. Teresa of Jesus, the great 16th century Carmelite reformer beatified by Pope Paul V in 1614, canonized by Pope Gregory XV in 1622, and declared first woman Doctor of the Church by Pope Paul VI in 1970, is the Foundress of the Order of Discalced Carmelites.
In the Philippines, the National Commission for the Celebration of the Fifth Birth Centenary of St. Teresa of Avila consisting of representatives from the three branches of the Discalced Carmelites, the Friars, the Nuns, and the Seculars, is spearheading series of events geared toward making St. Teresa, her teachings and spirituality, known to Filipinos. One of these events is a fun run dubbed “TAKBO PARA KAY STA. TERESA DE AVILA and taglined “TAKBO KO, DASAL MO.” This is scheduled on February 3, 2013, Sunday and will take place within the vicinity of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Shrine Parish
“Takbo Ko, Dasal para sa ‘yo.” Each registrant will be given a prayer request slip with the registration form. The prayer request is carried by the participant during the event. This will be dropped in a container as each reaches the finish line. After the event, the container will be brought within the church premises to be blessed together with the participants. The prayer requests will then be turned over to the OCD nuns of the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Monastery in Gilmore be prayed for.
The objective of the event is to create an awareness on the person and spirituality of St. Teresa of Jesus, by way of an event that is in vogue and also attractive to the youth, among the general public. To help raise funds for the other activities of the National Commission for the Celebration of the Fifth Birth Centenary of St. Teresa of Jesus and to support the Scholastics Fund of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.

…Yong mga di umabot sa registration ng Condura at nabitin sa pag postponed ng First Vita PLus…Join kayo dito….
My siblings and I decided to let go of expensive runs and just join running events that are worth our money (registration fee must be reasonable and with real cause)…
We were surprised because the P350 registration fee for 5K was still reduced to P100.00! Yes, they said that registration fee for STUDENTS (either 3K or 5K) is only P100.00 (inclusive of the singlet, race bib and prayer request)! Just bring your school I.D. when you register. :)
@direk may announcement ba san mo na laman so 250 n lng ung 350 mganda nga to bless pa , after the mass run na.
@kite
May on-site registration sila, around 4:30 am ata.
