4th Quezon City International Marathon “QCIM” – Dec 2, 2012

The 4th Quezon City International Marathon fires off on Dec. 2 with the race route covering a major portion of Commonwealth Avenue and La Mesa Eco-Park.

The Executive Runners Club of the Philippines, the country’s oldest executive running club, has managed the race since 2009 for the Quezon City Local Government, under Mayor Herbert Bautista in coordination with the Office of Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte.

Runnex expects to attract more than 10,000 runners in the 2012 QCIM, which has SM Development Corporation as co-presentor for the second year. Attractive cash prizes and giveaways are up for grabs in the 5-, 10-,21- and 42-K runs.

A free running clinic is also held every Sunday at the University of the Philippines Academic Oval in Diliman, Quezon City to help prepare runners for the basic and longer distances.

    It’s being held at UP every Wednesday at 7 PM.

    may mga portalets ba sa route ng 42km? diba malamang nsa 6hrs din yun, bka tawagin ako ng kalikasan eh. kung meron man gano kaya karami? ^__^__^ ahehehe

  29. For the info of those who are still interested in registering for the QCIM, I just registered today for the 42K at MOA Fields Showroom (sa second floor ito tapat ng Fitness First). Available pa rin slots nila for the 42K and they are open until 8pm. Di ko natanung ko meron pa sila kits for the other distances peron kung sakaling wala na, meron pa sa Chris Sports MOA na 42K kits naman ang wala sa kanila).

    The cut-off times for the 42KM of the SMDC QCIM are as follows:

    21KM Mark: 3:30:00 hours
    30KM Mark: 5:00 hours
    35KM Mark: 6:00hours

    3. Masaya St., (Teacher’s Village)
    4. Kalayaan Ave.
    5. Visayas Ave.

    Registration is extended until November 28, 2012 at all of our partner stores. Singlet sizes are available at a First-come, first served basis.

  43. sir yung parking areas, may parking attendant po ba dun? first time ko kasi mag run sa QCIM. madalas sa moa and bgc lang kya di ako kabado sa towing or bukas kotse hehe.

Hello, without limits Why is it 3days left na lang before the event I’ve never seen any TRAFFIC ADVISORY along commonwealth ave.just asking.ayaw na namin maulit sisihin ng mga motorist na kami cause ng traffic.Last year 3 weeks before may malaking tarpaulin traffic advisory nakapost in different locations.

  53. Same concern here about po sa traffic advisory para naman alam ng mga drivers at maka-iwas din sa mga foul-mouthed words ang mga runners/marshalls along the route. Nakakadismaya po yun para sa mga runners e.

    What I know is ikot muna ng UP covering 7K+ paglabas up to shell station diretso up to wilcon then come back to finish. see you on sunday. I’ll be in 21K too.

    advise lang to go early as possible, mas maganda na ung maaga kesa mag cram about anything. goodluck runners!
