Run for Pasig River has always been one of the most attended fun run every year, this year, KBPIP and the Quezon City government team up to give a new twist to the event to hold the event along Commonwealth Avenue.
Whats interesting is that this year, they also introduced a Ride and Roll category for bikers and skaters.
ABS-CBN Foundation and aims to raise awareness and funds for the rehabilitation of Pasig River and the waterways in Quezon City, the target of this year’s event: Tullahan River, Marikina River, Meycauayan River, and San Juan River

Muntik ko ng mabugahan pc ko ng kape nun makita ko 15k fee. Kala ko nasa 800 since 300 lang yun 5k. La lang. Hehehe.

Seriously, ABS-CBN! P1,200 for a 15k run. Knowing that this is a well-attended run, instead of making the people pay so much, ABS-CBN has the muscle and can easily get sponsors to subsidize this run. ABS-CBN should be happy that people are choosing to support the idea of cleaning the Pasig River, because in reality people are walking for the Pasig River (it’s really impossible to run because of the huge crowd). Just because running is so popular, many are capitalizing on this to make a profit out of the poor runners. We should not allow the organizers to make running prohibitively expensive. Let’s choose wisely, runners.

I mean, kahit konti (conservatively speaking) lang ang pumunta, malaki pa rin ang makukuha nila dito. Less head (runners) = less aches (problems) = same ‘profit.’ ;D

have participated last year for a cause though the run is not that good and i did not avail the extra 500 fee for the shirt.. but this time, reg. fee is too much! even students cannot afford this run… the fee defeats the purpose. seems its putting the extra fees to simply sell your items such as lanyards, shoebags and etc… wake up abs cbn organizers…

Last year pasig run is aiming for the guiness record. This year siguro sasali din sa less participants…. ABS CBN para nga walang nakitang napuntahan yung proceeds ng last year. Nag iikot din ako sa mga estero wala naman improvements.

check their facebook page, meron don link ng race details. they have there a picture of the “lanyard”. it’s actually an ethnic version of the usual lanyard for IDs, string na may mga ethnic colored beads.
