its now signal #1 in visayas area and storm can intensify in the coming days. it is best to prepare for a wet brooks run on sunday.

Hi runners!

To guarantee the safety of all our participants we have decided change the gunstart for 21K. From 4:30AM to 5:00AM.

It has been gloomly lately in the morning and it will be too dark for our runners crossing Merit Road (road leading to British School), 8th Avenue (long road that starts where Lexus is at) and Kalayaan Bridge.

As for the rest of the distances all gunstart remains the same as mention on our registration form.

Assembly Time: 4:30AM
21K: 5:00AM
12K: 5:30AM
6K: 5:40AM

Additional Safety Reminders:
1.Make sure to hydrate before gunstart.
2.Do some 5-10 minute light stretching before you run. You are welcome to participate on our group stretching session.
3.We will provide all (even 6K runners) runners with GU gel as an energy booster- take it if necessary.
4.There will be water station and energy drink station and medic station every 1.5 Km. These are the best locations for runners to re-energize yourselves or get medical attention if necessary. Bananas & Sponge will be available to key stations for all 21K & 12K runners.
5.We will have local police and marshals on every major station, we highly advise to take extra precaution when crossing the streets always look both ways.
6.There will be a giant directional signboard and kilometer signage along the road, but when in doubt about where to go-ask our friendly marshals.

Finally aways wear your race bib and please stick around for we will have lots of giveaways for raffle at the activity area.

We have done everything possible to be proactive in preparing for this event. We hope our love and concern for the running community will show in our works.

What? 5am gunstart for 21K will be to late..mainit na tumakbo pagumabot ng 6:30am like nung sa greenfield run. Lagyan na lang ng ilaw at Marshall para sa runner….

This is going to be my first half mary! hopefully its gonna be a good experience for all runners like me. Im so ready to hit the pavement! I dont care whether it rains or not! I will run as fast as i can to give a very competitive PR for my very first 21k! cant wait…

just the mobile number of the organizer earlier,sabi niya meron daw sila on-site registration. The guy name sounds like Isagani or something, medyo malabo ang line eh.

anyhow sana on time talaga ang start ng run nito. para mga 7am, tapos na karamihan sa 21k.

shoot, I thought all set na ang 4:30 gun start ng 21k, alam naman po nilang madilim bakit hindi mag hire ng mag iilaw sa daan? Kaya pa naman kami nag register para maaga makatapos eh.

Thanks Sir Jay and Race Organizers. It’s really difficult for an organizer to put last minute logistics and adjustments on changes like weather.

Fellow runners, let’s please understand that the changes on gun start time (21k) is done for the safety and benefit of runners. It’s not on a whim by the organizers.

Let’s just pray for cloudy weather with some sunshine (no rain!), see you on sunday!

I hope the km markers will be accurate and very visible…very important for pacing one self…and hope they will be every 1km

as a not so veteran in running under the rain.

-if your bringing gadgets like ipod/celfones/mp3s make sure naka plastic sila.

-wear a running gear na magaan pa rin kahit basa na siya.

-wear black socks.

-don’t wear jogging pants.

-if you don’t want to really get wet, mag improvise ka na lang ng kapote. get a trash bag tapos gupitin mo siya na parang t-shirt..

HI Runners!

Yes we will provide GU to all runners. As you enter the shoot our marshal will hand you a pack of GU Energy Gel.

There will be kilometer markers and yes, we are doing our best to keep is as close to accurate (Actual vs GPS).

As for water stations- we have enough.

Please pray for a fair weather.

Runners ther will be alot of newbies please let them know we are serious with what we do, but… we are also Happy Runners- light-hearted, and fun to be with. Help us nurture our running community by making their experience a fun-filled event.

This is best run for me! Lots of freebies and very nice singlet, 6K for 500php is super worth it. I’m Looking forward for Brooks Run Happy 3. I ran happy. :D
