The Philippine College of Surgeons Cancer Commission (PCS CanCom) proudly presents the “Ribbons Of Love: Cancer Run,” a heartwarming event to be held on February 11, 2024, at the CCP Complex in Pasay City, Philippines. Scheduled from 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM, this Fund-Raising Fun Run aims to support the fight against cancer and promote awareness about this critical health issue. The event is set to attract a diverse crowd, including cancer survivors, their families and friends, healthcare providers, cancer advocates, industry partners, and fitness enthusiasts.
Participants in the “Ribbons Of Love: Cancer Run” can choose from five running categories to suit their preferences and abilities: a 200M dash for children up to 10 years old, and longer distances of 3KM, 5KM, 10KM, and 16KM. The event also adds a unique twist by allowing pets to join in the fun, accompanying their owners for an additional fee.
A highlight of the event is the cancer screening examination offered to the first 100 participants. These screenings cover breast, thyroid, cervical, and prostate cancer, providing a vital health service to the community. Additionally, educational materials focusing on the screening, diagnosis, and management of various types of cancers will be distributed to all attendees.
