Garmin Fenix 5 multisport watch is designed for Fitness, Adventure and Style
Garmin just recently announced the newest update of its top-of-the-line GPS watch, the Garmin Fenix 5. For those who are wondering, Garmin skipped the “4” this year and went straight to “5”, it could be a cultural thing, since “4” is Chinese is nearly homophonous to the word “death”.
What’s exciting about the Fenix 5 is that Garmin is making it available in 3 sizes, a 42mm model called the Fenix 5S that is specifically designed for women or people with petite wrists, the standard 47mm Fenix 5 and a much larger 51mm Fenix 5X that’s preloaded with a mapping software.
All the Fenix 5 models are capable of tracking multisport functions like running, hiking, swimming, biking and even golf sessions. Also all of the Fenix 5 models now include 24/7 wrist-based heart rate monitoring, daily activity monitoring and a built-in GPS.
Always breaking your strap? The new Fenix 5 models now allows you to change the bands (sold separately) easily, with their new QuickFit bands, owners can now mix and match between their choice of leather, metal, silicone watchbands. Now you can really take this watch anywhere and in any occasion.
The Garmin Fenix 5, 5S and 5x will be available in Q1 2017. The Fenix 5 and Fenix 5S will have a SRP of $599.99 (appox P30,000); the Fenix 5 Sapphire, Fenix 5S Sapphire and Fenix 5X will have a SRPÂ of $699.99 (P35,000).
