Together with the unveiling of the new iPhone 7, Apple also introduced the latest Apple Watch Series 2, and the announcement of some of the key features got us really excited about this new Apple Watch.

Unlike its predecessor that mostly focuses on connectivity, the new Apple Watch Series 2 seems to have been upgraded to have fitness and lifestyle in mind, with features to help you stay active, motivated, and connected, Apple Watch Series 2 is designed to make you move.

Here are some of the features on why the Apple Watch Series 2 could be your next Fitness Watch

1. The Series 2 is now Water Resistant up-to 50 meters and designed that you can actually swim or surf with it, the included workout app also has been upgraded to include swim statistics like lap count, distance and calorie burn.

A detailed summary about your workout and route will also be provided once you finish.

3. Apple partnered with Nike to deliver the Apple Watch Nike+ that aims to deliver the best running watch to the fitness market, using the Apple Watch Nike+ app, the watch provides runners their pace, distance and time, but more than that, the watch promises to motive you move by “inviting” you with personal reminders, messages as well as informing you that your friend is already running and is now a few miles ahead of you. Cool huh?

BONUS: Pokemon GO is coming to the Apple Watch Series 2, now Pokemon trainers can walk, be active and explore without constantly looking at their iPhone, the Pokemon Apple Watch app will alert once a wild Pokemon appears, collect from Pokestops straight from the watch, and it also tracks your distance traveled using the internal GPS so you can hatch Pokemon eggs while on the go.
