It’s confirmed! Davao City the home of our current president Rodrigo Duterte will be hosting the 2019 SEA Games! According to the latest report from Inquirer.net, Philippine Sports Commission Chair William “Butch” Ramirez confirmed that the president already gave the go-signal.
According to the report, this is also the first international sports event of this magnitude to be held in Davao, giving the city and local athletes a good opportunity to showcase their potential.
With this confirmation, it would also mean that an Olympic standard national sports stadium should be next to be constructed in Davao.
