EDSA-Half-Marathon-Cancelled

The Share-the-Road scheme originally scheduled for July 28 (Sunday), has been postponed due to several factors and similar activities happening on the same day, this is according to the Share The Road Movement’s Facebook page.

This means that Bikers and Runners who originally plan to take advantage of this situation will have to Bike and Run somewhere-else including our Crazy EDSA Half-Marathon Idea.

Instead of the full scale implementation of the share-the-road scheme, a smaller scale implementation will happen instead. Only TWO (2) Northbound lanes of EDSA from SM Mall of Asia to Magallanes will be allocated for bikers and pedestrians from 6am to 12nn. People are still invited to join this dry run activity, if you are interested, the assembly area is at the parking lot along Heritage Hotel in Pasay City.

According to MMDA, here are some of the reason why they have to cancel or defer the plan:
1. Scheduled fun run at SM Mall of Asia
2. DPWH reblocking and road repair projects on EDSA
3. Administrative difficulties
4. Lack of widespread public information campaign
5. Weekend Mall SALE along EDSA

Please be guided accordingly. And share to fellow Bikers and Runners.
