Personally I love lightweight running shoes, so when I was given the opportunity to review the new Brooks PureFlow 4, it was a definite YES. The PureFlow 4 is designed as a lightweight, cushioned training shoe for neutral runners that weighs only 8.6 ounces.
Though I’m a slight under-pronator, I still love running on neutral shoes, I just replace the insoles with SPENCO’s and I’m all set.
Besides the weight, you’ll immediately notice that the PureFlow 4 is designed with a Rounded Heel that allows for better alignment and a smoother stride especially when you heel strike.
After some pounding on a treadmill and on the road, I can say that the Brooks Pure Flow 4 DNA midsole is very comfortable, firm yet still able to absorb the harshness of the road surface while translating your energy into forward motion.
The Brooks DNA midsole technology delivers 30% more cushioning than standard midsole materials such as gel or EVA, with twice as much energy return for more pep in your step.
The PureFlow 4 upper comes in blue and violet (for ladies), it also features a Nav-Band that wraps around the foot for a secure, yet non-constricting fit. No-sew overlays add to the premium look and feel, along with a cushioned tongue that further enhances the wearer’s comfort.
If you’re a lightweight shoe lover like me, then you should really consider the Brooks PureFlow 4. It is now available at select RUNNR and Toby’s Sports outlets for P4,995.
