Nike kicks off global we run series inspiring athletes to achieve their personal best! Horray! But wait! No Nike We Run Manila 2014!?
According to the latest press release article found in the Nike Website, Nike’s We Run Race Series will reach more than 140,000 runners in 14 races around the world, except Manila.
Here’s the complete list of the 14 NIKE WE RUN RACES:
Aug 30: We Run Prague
Sept 14: We Run Moscow
Sept 28: We Run Istanbul
Oct 26: We Run Seoul
Nov 2: Soweto Marathon
Nov 15: We Run Monterrey
Nov 16: We Run Guadalajara
Nov 30: We Run Mexico City
Nov 30: We Run Montevideo
Nov 30: We Run Guatemala
Nov 30: We Run Bangkok
Dec 6: We Run Santiago
Dec 13: We Run Jakarta
Feb 1: We Run Kuala Lumpur
This is indeed sad news for us, Nike We Run Manila has been one of the most awaited race for many runners here in the Philippines. Perhaps Nike would reconsider? Do you think there should be a Nike We Run Manila this year!?

ewan ko ba sa dalawang elite running events na ito adidas at nike bkit wla dis year aarte nyo pag nainis kaming mga cutomer nyo boycott nmin products nyokkainis syang im ready for this event at besides inipon ko na pang register ko tpos wla pala haist nakakadismaya.pls.ituloy nyo or else new balance at newton nlang bibilhin kung rubber shoes.gets nyo.

What’s the reason?
I think there should be one but knowing the logitics that go into organizing races like Nike it’s a “wait for next year” kind of thing for the Nike We Run MNL leg. I’d rather wait than have one rushed and we end up wasting money. In 2013 the venue was far from ideal for a high volume of runners. Bring it back to Manila if we can have one like We Run MNL 2012.

Considering the tons of races recently that has left my wallet dead… i am quite relieved that there will be no nike we run this year…

Last year parang ganito rin nangyari..wala sa website..then later lumabas..let’s wait and see muna. If meron then good..if wala, eh di wala. Marami naman ibang magagandang run dyan.

Considering how expensive these runs have been getting somehow I don’t feel not having a Nike run this year is a big loss. That’s 1k plus less expense.
I think this is cause of the current events with our government… Sana magkaroon, Ive been training for months to run for half/full marathon….
They trim it from 26 countries last year to 14, including Manila. Mas maganda kung mag explain man lang bakit di tayo kasama sa natira. Wala na ngang Nike, wala pang Adidas…
Hahaha tama ka dyan! Naalala ko, may masikip na kalye dun tapos ang daming nakaparadang sasakyan… ang gulo gulo, di ka makatakbo ng maayos kasi nagkukumpulan yung mga mababagal sa harapan mo. Yung iba, nagtiyaga na lang tumakbo kahit sa bangketa!
hrao kasi ang mga walkers ayaw tumbi sa slow lane khit nga lang sa mkna sports center ang ttba na nga nkhrang pa sa fast lane mag observe naman at isip-isip tayo pag may time marami na nmang magre-react ng walkers dto ang issgat sayo bkit ikaw ba ang ngbbyad sa reg,nmin or pkialam mo lhat tayo may pakialam ako slow runner din pero di ako humhrang sa fast lane eh appno kung di ka mkita ng nasa likod mo di banggaan to the max kayo para iwas aksidente lang ok oberve courtesy and politeness and runnign etiquette too.just an opinion and observation runners ok.dont be too personal or boastfull.

Sayang naman pero kung hindi talaga magkakaroon, okay na rin pero sana magka idea tayo why they decided na di magkaroon sa atin.
Salamat at hindi natuloy mailalaan sa ibang race yung budget para sana sa NIKE pwede sa QCIM..
MAsikip ba sa Marikina last year?? sa tingin ko hindi kung maaga kayo pumunta at maaga kayo naka pwesto sa unahan… wait na lang natin next year baka kasama na tayo sa listahan ng NIKE..
bakit wala! NO NIKE RUN so….we’re not HAPPy!

hay naku di na me bibili ng Nike shoes kasi wla ang nike run 2014 ito pa nman ang inaantay ko the most anticipated and biggest running event in the phils.and the world pls.reconsider of putting a NIKE RUN manila dis nov.or dec.go go nike run we just love to run .haist im saddened by this news pls. let it show and let it be nike people.

Sayang nmn kung WALA! naghintay ako ng matagal tapos gusto rin ulit sumali ng kapatod ko…SANA MAGKAROON PA & sana wag na sa marikina…hindi ka makatakbo ng maayos lalo na pag mabagal yung na sa harapan mo.

This year’s Nike We Run series ranges from 7km to a marathon. Maybe, one of the reasons why there’s no Nike We Run MNL is because of insufficient time organizing it.
The first We Run 2014 race was held in Prague last Aug 30 and the last race will be held in Malaysia Feb 01.
Also, organizing Nike We Run MNL may conflict the organizer’s scheduled marathon events.
Hopefully by next year, Nike We Run MNL will be added on my list.
Im looking forward for my 4th Nike We Run MNL next year.

Di pa naman final Usually kasi ang We run Manila 1st Sunday parati ng December each year. From what I remember last week ng October last year sila nagblast ng reg info. Mid November ubos na agad ang slots for registration. Let’s just hope na ma-push pa. Kasi iniiwasan lang din ng race organizer ang mga hoarders ng race kits.
