It’s an unexpected win for Singaporean Pastry Chef Tam Chua Puh, when he finished first at the recently concluded Marathon in Singapore last Sunday (December 1, 2013). It was later found out that Mr. Tam actually took a short cut and never meant to be the “winner” but all he wanted was the Finisher’s Tee and the Medal…

He also admitted doing the same ‘trick’ on two of his previous marathons. We’ve heard stories about this in local races too, so let this be a warning to everyone, that the Finisher’s Shirt and the Medal are supposed to be earned, and not be taken because to cheating.

  3. Wow i’m just thinking kung me Philippines version din tayo dito.

  4. we should be proud to wear finisher shirt and with pride as we earned it with lot of effort, blood and sweat.(as i always wear my 21k and 42.195k finisher tee). for the cheaters, mahiya ka naman wag mo ipagyabang na finisher ka, okay lang kung 6 to 7 hrs natapos atleast hindi dinaya. LOL

  5. A lesson to everyone…

    GOD Bless!

  6. Kahit dito din naman sa Pinas, may mga ganyang cases din naman, though hindi naman sila nananalo like this guy. Tulad nung isang instance na I was running on an event na yung venue is along Commonwealth Ave, saw some guys na bumaba sa jeep, then diretso takbo dun sa closed lane ng road. They could get away with that due to the lack of race marshalls on those area, tyumetyempo lang sila.

  7. madami ako nakita ganyan nung milo marathon manila leg last july. hinatid ng nakamotor yung iba then sa buendia bumaba. kapalmuks lang. yung iba hindi umiikot sa tamang u-turn.
