  7. inconvenient yung claim pa ung race kit..bakit nauuso ‘to? dapat niyo isipin na me trabaho din kaming mga runners…some of us will have to be off earlier than we have to or not to come to work at all just so we can claim the kits…

  8. angal tayo ng angal yon pala’y ubos na ang slot ng 21k, so marami ang tumatangkilik sa ganitong sistema…marahil ay hakbang na rin to na maiwasang tumakbo ang mga di registered na runner, baka inuunti unti lang nila at pagdating ng panahon ay mukhang magiging ganito na ang sistema ng mga patakbo pagdating sa reg at kits claiming…marketing strategy din siguro to at pagtitipid na rin sa tingin ko…

  9. Di pa ako nakaka bawi last rexona 2012, di ko pa na pag hihiganti ang dalawang patay na kuko na inabot ko dito. I was targeting 2hrs back then, when my personal best is par at 2:20 lol ended up clocking 2:10 amp. But nothing will change this will still be my race day — ‘Revenged of the twin dead toes’

Guess wat I already registered to this and official receipt is also fading. … claiming of race kits in on October 18…. aabot pa kyo ito pagdating ng claiming date…. so hassle tlga runrio any actions for this….. hindi dapat puro event producer sisihin nio…. I priority nio ang service nio….. buti s manila lng ako eh kung nsa province ako pano hahahaha im sure d nman pakikingan mga complains natin……

  12. Bakit ang dami ng complains, wala pa rin response ang runrio? Ano po bang action gagawin nyo dito? Kawawa nmn po ung mga magreregister na nakatira sa malayong lugar. Dapat as soon as possible, ma-organize na ito. Agree ako na upon registration ibigay na ung mga race kits.

  14. registered already… sana lang makapunta ako sa racekit claiming date or else di na ba ko makakasali???!!!
    pano nga pala kung hindi makapunta sa limited dates ng racekit claiming? may claim booth pa ba sa event day???

    • Ung online nila, 1 option lang, credit card.
      Paano ung walang credit card.
      Sana ung merong pwede magbayad sa mga bayad centers or 24/7 convenient stores. Kagaya ng ibang mga group buying sites.

  20. Yung singlet ba pink for females like in the commercial? Blue lang kc yung nasa runrio site…. either way ok lng naman pero curious pa din.

If you think about it, kaya nila ginagawa yung separate claiming of kits and registration e gusto nilang makasiguro na yung ipapagawa nilang race kits (bibs, singlets, etc.) ay sakto lang sa mga bayad na participants. Isipin mo nga naman kung nagpagawa ka ng 1,000 pieces of singlets tapos 500 lang nagregister edi lugi naman sila.

    This is still a business and they have to minimize cost. ;)

    • But still, hindi dapat ngayon ang time para gawin nila ito. dapat last year pa or a year before, para aware na ang mga runners. Saka this is Runrio, normal na sa kanila ang mag average ng up to 12thousand runners. nagagawa naman nila to sa Run United at Milo, bakit hindi sa Rexona at New Balance? Saka kaya naman nila ibenta kung hindi maubos. Kasi gusto nila ung mga singlets na pinapagawa nila exclusive lang sa kanila? Sa panahon ngayon, dina uso exclusive o limited edition na bagay…

Hindi din kung magaling kang businessman bat ka naman magpapagawa ng napakaraming siglet syempre uunti untiin mo lang depende sa pag approach ng mga tao maaaring may sosobra pero minimal lang pwede mo din naman ibenta un sobrang siglet like Milo did last time nagkabusan pa nga eh at dinumog after the race nasa diskarte yan boss. Taka anu un daig pa sila ng maliliit na organizer na kayang sumugal. Yes this is Business and its a gamble di ba. Pero kahit hassle sumali pa din ako dito at sa New Balance adik sa takbo ehh hehe tiis tiis na lang muna.Pero wag sila papakampante may maliit na organizer ngaun na maayos mag patakbo baka sa darating na time mawalan na sila ng supporters isip isip din.

  25. sana ginawa na lang nila kung san nagparegister dun na lang kukunin yung race kit less sa pagawa ng singlet at less din ang gastos ng runner.. sa systemang ito babalikan na lang yung singlet sa store kung san nagparegister… malapit nga ang registration site napalayo ka naman ng claiming ng racekit hehehe

Hi guys!I registered last thursday for rexona run’s 21k category at riovanna bgc unfortunately the kiosks used for registering for an event is down due to system upgrade therefore the registration is manual and they not issue any receipt instead they just detached one part of the registration form which i filled up earlier and they said I can use that form for claiming the racekit. I’m kinda worried because earlier before according to their announcements I need to show receipt plus valid id in order to claim the kit.. who encounter the same thing? Please enlighten me with the situation.Thanks guys!more power!

    • we have the same concern mam/sir. Registered yesterday at Toby’s The Block, and the lady issued only the detachable right most part of the registration form, since their system is down “DAW.” and repeatedly ask her if that would be acceptable for the race kit claiming, despite of the early announcements that the “receipt” of the registration shall be used. >.<

    • Same din po un nangyari sa akin sa the block down daw ang system kaya walang reciept na ibinigay un other half lang ng registration form ang binigay taz tinatakan nya sana nga hindi mag ka problem sa racekit claiming mukhang madami dami din taung naka encounter ng ganitong problem kasi marami kaming nag reregfister during that day puro ganun lang ginawa.

      • sir, ung sakin walang tatak or something marker, basta ung detachable form lang and the lady counter told me, its valid daw. I do hope so. kundi malaking problema to. :|

Too much people complaining about different day of claiming race kits and registration pero nag reregister pa din, the only way runrio or any organizer will listen is when the time comes na wala ng nag reregister sa races nila bec of hassle, prices, or whatever reasons.. Mas mabilis kasi sa kanila yung gantong setup kasi konti lang sobra sa singlet, imagine, kung ilan nag register e di yun lang papagawa nilang singlet, less waste for them equals more profit, never mind the runners ma hasel..

    • Yun nga eh! Ginwa na nilang palagatasan ang mga runners, ndi ba nila alam na mdami ang dumadayo pa? Parang ndi nman sila runners!? To think na may mga sponsors nman!! Sobra sobrang negosyOO!!! Kung may runners lang na senador sana ipa-audit to!! Hahah h

  43. i have had repeated complaints against this policy of a different date for racekit claiming. Very inconvenient. In fact at one time i had a lengthy debate with some guy in this forum who seem to have blind idolatry over an organizer who started this policy. Kesyo the reason for this is para mapadali daw ang proseso. hahaha. Ang plastic ng runner na to. Im sure naaabala sya sa pagbyahe, paggastos at pagpila pero ok lang daw sa kanya hahaha. However you look at it, talagang very inconvenient for runners, mayaman ka man o mahirap, Tatamaan ka ng inconvenience na to. Pero mas kawawa ang mga mahihirap na talagang gusto lang tumakbo. Nagagastusan na sila at napapagod, malaking abala pa sa kanilang trabaho. You know who is the organizer im talking about. Mga runs lang naman nya ang ganoong sistema. The sad part is pati ibang organizers gumagaya na din. But the sadder part is they seem not to care. Kasi long-standing complaint na to pero di nila inaaksyunan. Baka nga di nila binabasa.Let us be runner-friendly naman. Your businesses thrive because of the runners. Wag naman kami pahirapan pa. If the smaller fun runs can do it, why cant the bigger fun runs? Kasi sinisiguro nilang yung sapat na singlets at racekits lang ang ipiprint? Oh eh di takot silang malugihan. Does that mean na yung mga smaller fun runs hindi takot malugi??? Now you know who is doing this for business and who is doing it for a cause.

    • Mga runner friends, minsan try nyo din tumakbo sa mga smaller and cheaper runs. Most of them ok din. Maluwag pa running lanes hehe. Tsaka in due time we will all realize that at the end of the day, it is not the singlets, or finishers shirts or medals, or lootbags or hydrations that matter. It is the love for the sport that counts. Wag na tayo mgcontribute sa pagyaman at pgtaas ng ego ng kung sino dyan hehe. Iwas na lang tayo. Peace!

  47. For me etong run na ito at Milo Finals ang last ko for Run rio, kase kung ganito sistema nila next year, baka nga ganito sa Run United na, di nako tatakbo dito. Tama na ang gastos. Tama na ang maling sistema ng claiming. kung ang kapalit lang nun eh makiki high five ka kay Coach Rio sa event, sorry. Like I said, Waste of time and money. madaming running events madaming race organizers dyan. kahit hindi perfect ang mga runs nila OK lang. Ang importante tumakbo ako at yung binayad ko sulit sa itinakbo ko.

    • Hehe, in the first place, sino ba si Rio? Andami namang runs dyan. Yun high fives ba nya is worth all the troubles to us runners? Tama ka “the shield”, let us stop running sa mga rio runs. Ms Maldina Runner, kinda funny coz we have been very vocal about this concerns eversince, everytime we register and told to go to another place and date to pick up the race kits…the “template answer” is “yes we are working on it” and this has been going on for yrs already. Other than that we have posted the same concerns every runrio run, in their website? And you know what? They dont even bother commenting in their site…what bothers us most is that before run united lang, until eventually pati lahat ng runrio organized events na. Tapos tila gumagaya na ang iba. Sabi nga, dont be stressed by the stresses caused by other people, so in order to do away with thr stress, i managed to avoid joining runrio organized runs. Kinda effective kasi nasasatisfy naman ako ng mga smaller runs and intelligently pick on some big events..pero bakit ganun, the bigger runs either follow the lead on the practice set by Rio, or worst, Rio takes the events to their fold. Pero sabi ko nga, ill avoid the stress, ill just join the runs who satisfy me. If in the event Rio gets all the runs, im sure he wouldnt be able to conquer my private conquests of the roads. Tatakbo pa din ako kahit bandit na lang, or kahit solo na lang. Pero ill never stop expressing my thoughts and opinions. Peace!

  65. Hayyyy! Napakawalang kwenta naman ng sistema ng pagreregister dito pati sa NB Power Run. Bakit wala yung size na gusto namin? Kaya nga magreregister online db? Tae yan. Hassle na nga yung pagclaim ng racekit sa other day, papahirapan pa kme maghanap ng taong pwedeng makipagpalit ng singlet size nila?

  67. See? So there is really no truth to the claim or belief that the reason for a separate date racekit claiming is to make sure that they only print the sufficient number of bibs/singlets. May nagkeclaim kasi dito na kaya separate day eh it is “smart business”, kesyo para hindi masobrahan etc. Oh eh bakit ngayon pati nagreregister online eh hindi na din pala makakuha ng tamang sizes? Tsaka as if we dont know, the sizes we write down upon registration isnt really the size given to us upon claiming….. What we pay for is what we are supposed to receive in return. So the moment we dont get what we paid for, it is tantamount to a violation of our contract..the registration form here and the receipt serve as our contracts. It is simple logic and simple law. If you buy shoes, you should get the design and size you ordered for, no more no less. If not, you deserve a replacement or a return of your money. I am finalizing the coordination with the DTI and I will post a concrete answer to this in the days to come. i have been victimized by this “repeatedly”. Nagregister at naglagay ng size only to find out upon claiming na it is a different size. Paulit-ulit na, paulit-ulit na. The end result is that di mo pinakinabangan ang binayaran mo. Tiring and very inconvenient. I suggest you get your lawyer na RIO. You can afford naman eh because you earn so much out of your ventures. At para sa mga mgsasabi dyan na wag sumali o wag magreklamo, you have no right to stop me from airing my grievances in any forum. It is our civic duty to educate our countrymen and put a stop to abuses such as this.

    • yeah i agree. nagulat nga din ako nung makita ko L,XL and XXL na lang available size ng singlet when I started to register online. naisip ko, baka sistema nila is meron lang fix number of singlets per size,tapos pag naubos na,for example, yung small, yung natitirang size na lang pwede pagpilian hanggang sa maubos na lahat then icclose na registration (wala nga naman sila lugi dun) lalo na if maraming gusto mag-run sa event. so paunahan ang peg, which is hindi naman dapat, since same price lang naman binabayad ng mga nagreregister. owell, may tumatangkilik pa din kasi sa mga ganitong set up (including me) so ayan, nasasanay na sila. sana nga may mangyari sa petition mo @ron w/DTI. nakakadala nga naman pag paulit ulit na lang.

  73. Definitely pass on this one. They used to have a delivery services when you register online. I don’t mind paying additional fee. Now the option is no longer available. Sad….it defeats the purpose of convenience.

  79. ay naku, ang tigas ng ulo niyo mga runners- ang gulang niyan organizer si rio- saan ka ba nakakita register ka wala singlet, reserved for another day? you are just making it difficult for yourselves, maki takbo ka na lang, runners should have a say sa ganitong patakbo. try this- don’t join just boycott it, tingnan natin kung hindi mag bago iyon bulok na style ng mga organizers na iyan!

    • Porke sinabi hanggang October 13 ang reg ibig sabihin meron pang slots. Sa dami ng tao sa metro manila na halos 50 million, asa ka pang magkakaroon pa. Next time po register ng maaga para hindi magmamakaawa sa organizer ng additional slots. Nakaka irita na kasi. Kahit sa Facebook page ng Runrio nagdedemand pa. Kung kailan ubos na saka magpaparegister…
