Back in October 2010, Baguio City (Host) Lions Club held its first ever “Eye Run ‘Coz I Care” run-for-a-cause, which produced a lot of interest among running enthusiasts, a lot of media mileage, and more importantly, a lot of awareness for Lions Clubs International. The success of the fundraiser was unexpected but very welcome, for it generated a healthy income where a large part was donated by BCHLC to the Northern Luzon Association for the Blind and the Philippine National Red Cross. The club was also able to utilize the funds in projects geared towards helping other visually-impaired individuals and other underprivileged communities.
In addition, “Eye Run ‘Coz I Care” was presented with the Beacon Award for “Outstanding Service to the Blind or Visually-Impaired” in the 2011 LCI Convention in Seattle, USA, which brought a lot of pride to every one in BCHLC who had a part in making “Eye Run” the success that it was.
This event is for the benefit of NLAB (Northern Luzon Association for the Blind) and other community service projects of the Baguio City Host Lions Club.

One month to go before Eye Run 2 … Here’s some interesting update:
