  1. ..typo?? January 26-27,2012

    Subic International Marathon 2013

    Day 1- January 26: 3K and 5K fun run
    Day 2- January 27: 10K, 21K and 42K
    Remy Field, SBMA

Headlamps might help, though not necessary.

    Mainit lang sa Arganaut Hway.

  3. Ilanin forrest which is part of the marathon event is very challenging..Did my first marathon with SIM last year and it was an awesome experience..

For those marathoners that want more challenging route, be here..For those who wants a memorable full marathon debut, I would like to recommend this SIM…just simply awesome…

  4. rolling hills???

malaking part nung route may tree cover… kaya maganda sya. Either concrete or asphalt yung route.

  6. Pumayag na si wifey dito sa SIM; she and son likes it here (Subic) anyways. So I guess this early plantsado na kami dito. Awaiting details na lang.

As for Condura, I’d like to join that as well. Though not sure if my knees would hold up IF I joined SIM in the 21K event. Hmm. 10K SIM, 21K Condura na lang kaya…

  7. i have not left Pinoy Fitness, all I am asking is when is the registration coming out for Subic International Marathon, as I will be registering to compete in the race. And how can I obtain a Pinoy Fitness vest as I want to wear t with pride.

Nag-book na ako flight for this event..

  9. Hopefully, this will be my FM debut. I ran 21K here last 2011 at uphill talaga. Malamig dito kaya ok lang tumakbo. Covered by trees ang ibang part ng highway and not to mention yong madadaanan mong bat kingdom.

  10. Wow, samin naman ngayon….Guys you will enjoy Subic, marami ng tambayan, SM, and Ayala Mall. Just reserve the Hotel sigurado puno yan…

  11. looking forward on this…. kapag kinaya ng katawang lupa ko ang first 21k ko sa RUPM…. i been thinking na mag debut dyan for 42k…. :D

  12. intense competition among races led to some events having low registrants due to unnecessary miscues. SIM must post the complete registration details as soon as possible or else other races can grab the runners attention. remember that 7-11 run and pse bull run are scheduled on january too.

  13. a,

Do we immediately get the racekit upon registration on-site?

Your online reg says that claiming will be at the racesite on raceday. I don’t like that arrangement (I got used to Runrio’s/Milo’s), so I will opt for on-site instead. =)

    • Hi angel.d.saint,

Yes you immediately get your race kit and singlet (if you’re registering for 10K, 21K or 42K category)

Thanks for your interest and see you there!

  14. angel.d.saint:

Sorry for the confusion, here’s the details:

Online Registration – race packet pick-up on Jan. 26, 1pm-5pm
Site Registration – race packet and singlet will be given there and then

    There’s NO ON-SITE Registration.

    jerry:

we’re still working on it but as of now we don’t have shuttle yet

  15. Is there any medal or finishing shirt ? seems it was not mentioned in the other site, and upon seeing the gallery there were no medals but instead a finisher certificate only.

  18. Nice route, fresh air, sufficient water and pocari. Just 3hrs away from manila, its a wonder why SIM is still under the radar of most runners.

  19. @sam,

dont worry about the weather condition of Subic Freeport Zone kasi safe naman po doon kahit tanghaling tapat tumakbo unlike in Nuvali, Sta Rosa na may sobrang mainit pag mga 9am-2pm.

  20. i dont know if the organizer at Subic can match the freebies, ambulanceand hydration done by RUPM and New Balance for the safety of the runners, at the same time dog tag is not much interesting what runners wants is a Finisher Shirt and a Medal.

  21. I think hindi ito battle of organizers since every event has its own downfalls kahit iisa pa ang organizer ng event (ex: like what happen in RUPM, bumawi sila sa Power Run and it goes with other organizers in their succeeding events). IMHO, meron po yatang medal for marathon finishers. Besides, this is an International Marathon and Not a FUN Run so we have to aim for the medal of a marathon finisher.

  23. I was looking forward for this run. However, it is only 1 week apart with the Condura Skyway Marathon.

2 FM’s within a span of 1 week is not possible (at least for me). Anyway, I’ll just join the Caliraya Uphill Challenge which is only HM.

    Hopefully next year.

    Enjoy the SIM!!!

  24. i ran last years edition of SIM. i must say, this is the best and purest marathon in the country. nothing fancy, para sa mga totoong runners. walang madaming drama sa freebies, exciting ang course, malinis na hangin, orgazines well. sila lang so far, sa lahat ng natry kong FM ang nakapag-serve ng ice cold drinks even though it has been 4 hours after the gunstart. will definetely do it again!

  25. How about the finisher shirt? sana po meron din para maging masaya mga tatakbo kahit sa 21K at 42K? pls.. reply.. Thanx and God bless us all….\

  26. Very nice route! Did the 21k this year (2012) Very challenging route. The way leading to the u-turn is an incline that’s a bit steeper than Commonwealth but not as steep as McKinley Hell. And part of it that has very spiky asphalt (seen in the Cherifer TV commercial with the triathlon duo) And you will also run with PNP and AFP cadets. Very supportive ang AFP cadets pero yung medyo parinig ng hindi magagandang salita ang mga PNP cadets lol but all their individual squad chants and running in formation are very nice and inspirational and the downhill path after the u-turn is refreshing!

  27. my malapit po bang HOTEL or MOTEL malapit sa remy fields??? im from pampanga pa,,, para makapag-check in nako night b4 the race… baka kc ma-late po ako pag early morning ako luluwas…

tnx for any reply… i need po ur help… tnx (O_O)

  28. kung may shuttle po ttakbo ako dto for my 2nd mary.. kung wala sa caliraya uphill challenge na lang ako takbo… sana po may sumagot reg this matter malaking bagay po eto sa amin na sa manila pa manggaling salamat po…

Dadayo lang kasi kami by car and I want to make sure we won’t get lost.

  32. @ mark

madali lang magcommute papunta sa subic. Coming from Manila, sakay ka lang ng mga bus (Saulog/Victory) along Edsa or Caloocan-Monumento Stn bound to Olongapo or Iba/Sta. Cruz then baba ka sa Olongapo city proper. From there isang dyip lang papunta sa Main Gate ng Subic then lakad lang papunta sa Remy Field.

    @kyla,

join ka na po dito. Kasama din ako sa Condura so its the best preparation for that. Safe and easy running lang gawin mo dito para me lakas ka pa sa Condura.

  33. @ nebski

meron yan sa National Bookstore or sa pit stop sa NLEX (Shell Station). Madali lang makapunta sa Subic if private car via NLEX then SCTEX kayo. Diretso na yun sa loob ng SBMA mismo then me directional markers na ibibigay naman sa tolgate ng Subic so di kayo maliligaw dun. Just make sure to follow strictly the traffic rules and regulation lalo na yung First stop, first to go at no swerving rule.

    Have a safe run…

  34. @Jhoy and @Angel

Meron po malapit sa Remy Field, try Subic Bay Venezia and Labella( Subic Grand Seasons Hotel). Meron din a distant hotel (around 3km away) yung Subic International Hotel, Poco A Poco Hotel, Grand Hoyah Hotel at Moonbay Marina Resort (recommended kasi tabi ng dagat) although medyo drive lang ng konti (2-3mins) to the venue.

  35. Try nyo din po Bayfront Hotel, Courtyard Inn, Court Meridian Hotel, Herbies Mansion (cheapest) & Boardwalk Inn along Waterfront Road. or the RK Mansions and Casablanca Hotel…

Hope this could help you sir Angel and maam Jhoy…

  36. @ Angel

Its my pleasure sir…I recommend yung malapit sa Lighthouse kasi mas maganda at malinis yung beachsand dun. Plus may mga cabanas na pwde magpamassage and swimming pool for the kids kung ayaw nila ng dagat.

  37. hey guys!!! i badly wanted to join this race but wala akong mahila. my family promised to come with me sa subic pero wala akong kasama sa mismong race… so.. pwede ba akong magpaAmpon sa inyo? hehehe please?
