After Tour 700, the Philippines’ biggest bike race event held at the SCTEX last May 13, 2012, 7-Eleven now celebrates the opening of its 800th store with RUN 800 on August 26, 2012 at the Aseana City in Paranaque.
Runners joining the 10k, 15k or 21k half marathon will enjoy this new closed-circuit race course set along the coastal road – CAVITEX. Those joining in the 3k and 5k categories can look forward to an organized race course along Macapagal Ave. This is made possible with 7-Eleven’s system of allowing SELF-SELECTED WAVE STARTS, enabling them to run with people with the same skill or speed (or with friends!). To make this run more exciting, the top 3 per age category will receive medals. Top 3 Filipino males and females in the 21k will be sponsored to join the Macau International Marathon on December 2012.
To complete registration, runners can pay reg fees at the 7-Eleven a nearest them. Take note of the 7-Connect number and pay at any 7-Eleven store within 24 hours. Race Kits can be claimed on the date indicated on the receipt, and from the same store where payment has been made.

Hmmm issues!!! LOLS Kahit saan naman di nawawalan… Just noticed, most runners got a lot of complaints and suggestions. Medals, freebies and all that…
Still the organizer got the choice. If they don’t provide medals (which most runners are aiming) then why register for the event?! Register for other runs who can give you medals at the finish line. Better prepare for more expensive reg fee (wag magreklamo).

matagal ko nang hinihintay ang suggestion ni mark since last year pa..sana gawin ng organizers… minsan nga ginagawa ko, nag aabang ako ng nagbebenta ng racekit…binibili ko ung bib lang ng mga nag pa register na ndi makakatakbo para tipid. gusto ko lang naman safe ung run at may proper hydration…
alisin na lahat ng freebies para mura ang takbo at walang maraming reklamo. :)

@Jewel I don’t think the freebies are part of the registration fees we pay. Kaya nga FREE-bies diba? ;)
Anyway, the freebies came from sponsors who wants to advertise their product.
I think the main thing we pay for are the race bibs, timing chip, singlet, admin costs, logistics cost and hydration.

That’s good from a runner’s POV…but from the organizer’s POV that is a logistic nightmare. So medyo unrealiastic sya…kung and Finisher’s Shirt Sizes nga until now first come, first served pa din…..what more if ipapacustomized mo ang registration fee….just saying.
@dan: I would strongly encourage you to continue your law studies and be one of the brethren in the profession. In the meantime, let’s just focus and be committed in developing our physical well-being – be it a runner or walker, elite or novice, singlet or medal collector – so long as we do not trample others purpose, but inspiring instead in joining fun runs.

madali lang naman sir, lahat ng bib merong tig isang stub para sa medal, freebies at finisher shirt sa ilalim. Tatanggalin na nung nasa registration ang mga stub na hindi bayad. Ang matitira lang eh yung bayad na stubs.
pagdating sa finish line, makikita kung anong stubs ang natitira. walang gulangan.
* napaguusapan ang medal/singlet/finisher shirts/lootbag i respect na lang po natin yung ibang mga kasama natin kung yun talaga ang gusto nila at wag na lang sabihan na tumatakbo lang for medal or pang post sa FB… distinction po nila yun…
* basta’t ako tumtakbo for health reason and for PR only para pag nagretiro sa mga event eh may maipakita naman sa darating na henerasyon… 7pcs na lang of singlet ang natitira sa akin, and ofcourse medal which is binibigay naman talaga after you finish 16k and beyond… peace! :-)

Most organizers na hindi nakikipagcommunicate with the runners usually hindi nagsa succeed sa events nila. Wag naman sanang mangyari sa 7-Eleven Run 800 to.
To the organizers: it wont kill you naman siguro if you will reply to the queries of the runners. You should assign someone to answer our questions. We will be paying hard-earned money for your event. There should be mutual communication. Yun lang naman. Thanks po :)
i believe the organizer reserves the right to ignore redundant inquiries or questions already answered through event press releases.
but my question is about the baggage counter which are not stated in the race FAQs. this is a valid concern to those with bags and travel via PUVs. let us hope that the organizer will respond to inquiries sent via email.

pwede but remember the award is per KM and/or per age category. the wave for beginners starts a few minutes after competitive/advance category.

1. Bago route :)
2. will pass by Freedom Island – The Last Mangrove Area (Forest) in Metro Manila
3. will also pass by Bird Sanctuary – recipient of Writ of Kalikasan issued by The Supreme Court
4. Baka dumating ang panahon, tambakan na yung area na ito. – Matakbuhan ko muna bago mangyari ito

likewise the race route was the main reason im joining this race. running along cavitex is something we cannot do on a regular day considering that it is an expressway and not a common road. 21K for P750 reg fee is worth it and the finisher shirt is a bonus.

I suggest everyone to photocopy the receipt para di magka-aberya sa claim ng kit. As you see, thermal paper ang gamit sa pag print which in time eh mabubura. I am doing that as well to other receipts na thermal, kasi sobrang bilis ng life span nyan.
