The race date for the upcoming Rexona Run 2012 has finally been released! Time to save the date guys! Outdo Yourself at the upcoming Rexona Run 2012 on August 12, 2012 to be held at SM Mall of Asia!

Dear Runners,

Due to the heavy rains, we will be postponing the REXONA RUN 2012 event to SEPTEMBER 23, Sunday still at the Mall of Asia grounds. We feel that due to the current calamity, it would be inappropriate to still push through with the event. We have taken into consideration that a lot of the runners may be living in affected areas, and that our route marshals are part of the AFP so they will be busy with relief operations.

Instead, we will be focusing our efforts on relief operations this weekend, particularly in Marikina. You are very much welcome to participate or help out in any way. More details will be posted soon.

Special Procedure for the 21k RELAY Registration via ONLINE:

1. Go to the Online Registration SITE.
2. Choose to register “Me and Others”
3. Choose “21k Relay”
4. Fill up all required fields
5. On the “Name of your Relay Partner” page, enter info of your partner. Make sure to use the exact registered name of your partner.
6. Create a Relay Team Name and enter on the page
7. On the “Would you like to register another participant or checkout?” – choose “Another”
8. Enter info of the 2nd runner
9. On the “Would you like to register another participant or checkout?” – choose “Checkout”
10. Proceed to payment

    fortunately i was hesitant to join regent considering that it is a maiden race without any review yet so im free to join rexona. :-)

I dont think Runrio Inc will move this.. just pick the event you want and register… Kung gusto maraming paraan, kung ayaw maraming dahilan… pag gusto mo sa regent go, kung gusto mo sa rexona, benta mo ang regent mo at mag reg ka sa rexona… or vice versa… let’s make out life simple… peace… keep running

  26. This is a RUnrio event…I follow Coach Rio on Twitter and he has been tweeting the dates even before REgent started their registration.

    Maganda sana yung regent because of the junk foods freebies pero Rexona Run is something I look forward to.

    And also, I dont think this will be move because they probably secured the permit and all on the said date.

  31. Nasa runner na yan kung anong pipiliin, siguro nman marami sa atin ang tumakbo nito last year, ang sa akin lang sulit ito.
    Sana nga lang finisher shirt na ang ibigay nila sa 21K finishers coz last year finisher singlet ang ibinigay syempre plus the medal.
    Kaya ngayon pa lang pagipunan na ang pangregister…

  33. Glad that the details are already out! This will be my anniversary run. Did my first official run in Rexona Run last year. I was so ambitious I ran 21K then without proper training. I made it and since then, I got hooked into running. My first medal, my first finisher’s shirt – it just felt so good. Nostalgic! This year, I’m doing the longest distance again. :)

  35. Sana August 19 na lang para walan kasabay. Wala pang nakasked sa date na yun. Kung August 5 naman katatapos lang ng Milo. Nakaregister na kasi kami sa Regent :(

    choose the event na pasok sa budget at kung saan mag-eenjoy ng bonggang-bongga ^__^

    ang rexona at milo runs ang nagpapaalala sa akin kung gaano kasaya ang mga running events – kahit na di man long distance ang tatakbuhin.

    minsan mahirap talaga yung sched ng mga runs, pag late ka na nagpareg may chance na mauubusan ka ng slot, pag maaga naman nakapagreg biglang may masasabay na event na ok din and maganda salihan.
    sa mga nakareg na sa regent, f gusto ny tumakbo sa rexona run, benta nyo na lang yung racekits nyo, malabo cguro maresched to ksi runrio event to. naalala ko yung yakult run na nagconflict with RU1, yung yakult ang nagpalit ng sked. pili-pili na lang ng mabuti

  47. more races competing against each other the better. this will bring out the best of both parties. organizers will try to provide the best race support while runners will try to select the best race event. lahat panalo!

  52. yes i agree with foxtrot..nag promise ung regentfoods sa amin..mas maraming freebies at very organize sila kc ung mga officers mismo ng regent food ang pupunta…wag n kau muna mag rexona… baka ma let you down kau…

  53. This our runniversy wow 1 year na akong tumatabo last time 4 lang kami ngayon 15 na kming tatakbo sa rexona. Kailangan ko na makuha ung singlet at giveaways kakaubus lang kac ng spray ko for underarms protection……

    i hope you dont mind, but please let the runners decide to what event they want to participate. They will pay for their registration anyway.. its no longer your problem if they want to join Rexona or Regent. Runners will enjoy both event I guess.

  56. as the saying goes may the best race wins! in reality rexona has an edge over regent. why? rexona is now on its third consecutive annual race while regent is just on its maiden race. rexona had been proven to provide quality singlet and freebies while regent had not proven anything yet. im just stating a fact and not creating an argument. :-)

  60. Sana i move na lang to ng date, d dahil kasabay nya ang Regent kundi dahil nasa probinsya ako ng mga araw na ito. Since wala pa namang mga details na nilalabas sana pwede pang ma move para meron akong run ng August. Mukhang magandang run pa naman to base sa mga comments na nababasa ko. Salamat sa makakabasa. :D

  72. Basta ako…I’ll run for Rexona because I always enjoy Runrio’s envents.

    I wish Regent’s run to be succesful kasi I want to join their run in the future.

    Also just like to point out time and again, Runrio is one of the best organizers we have today. I’d rather spend my hard earned money on quality organizers like him. Tsambahan kasi yung mga murang registrations eh. ;)

  74. Hmmm.. For Rexona page ito tama… Comment, update nalang kayo related sa even page na para sa run.. Kung rexona sa rexona kung sa reagent sa reagent na page… Sa 22o lang nahaba eh.. other runners is reading info related to particular run… Just my opinion…

  81. Akala ko dati walang kasabay ba event ang Regent,! Last week ko lng xa nabasa. Hay, gusto ko sana sumali dito kaso sa Regent na lng ako Mag register! A lot or runners suggesting to move the date but stil depend on the organiser. Good luck na lang! :)

    choose the best among the races held on the same date.

    unless you can run on both races at the same time. :-D

    eto ang mga presyo ng Rexona LAST YEAR (na nakuha ko dito sa PF lang din – search lang :)

    I wonder magkano this year. I think yung 21K mas mataas sa 750 for sure. Kung MOA ulet ang venue – sooobrang mahal ang rent sa activity area nila per day. It took 3 days last year para matapos ang activity area for the rexona run (nasisilip ko kasi sa bintana ng office) … so dun pa lang papatak na ang metro ng upa sa area – so expect talaga na magtataas din to ng presyo :)

  93. suggestions to the organizers:

    you price your runs considering the expense of organizing it. why don’t you change your venue then for a lower rate. the route in alabang around the madrigal area is a large on and last time i ran there was the asian hospital run and it was announced that the venue was FREE!!! YES, ABSOLUTELY FREE! if you’re really eyeing for a CAUSE and not for the business part of the event, well eye for this venue. there are lesser events held in the south…

    just a suggestion though…

    the location is just one of the many expenses that organizers and its sponsors has to deal with. i’m not even sure how much of an impact (if there’s any) it will make with the overall cost

  95. Good job Runrio dahil sinabay nyo sa regent run ito. Sa regent kasi ako tatakbo,so mahahati ang tao, mas konti mas masaya. mag sabay din kayo ng event sa natures trail discovery run leg 2,para wala masyado poser na tumakbo dun.

  96. Mga runners, kaya naman gustong gusto nyo mag participate sa event ng runrio kasi spoiled kayo. Gusto nyo yung mga may finisher shirt,medal, free deodorant , free picture, free facial. Pang bakla itong mga run na ito eh. same same event, moa bgc, dapat mag pa run naman sa sa mrt or lrt line para maiba. eh kaya nyo na tumakbo sa mga yan kahit nakapikit eh..

  97. sa CCP nalang kc sa yakult last april 450 lang ata reg fee. kaya lang di ako kontento kung panay 2big lang hydration. ok lang sakin magbayad if worth paying for….go rexona….dito ako tatakbo.

  98. @boybuhok there are few runs in the south because masyadong malayo for people from the north.

    I think BGC and MOA are both midway for both north and south folks. Kasi I’m from the south and I never join runs na ang venue ay QC, UP, etc…masyadong hassle. :/
