Does anyone know who the race organizer is on this run, hopefully hindi the same one as last year, or kung sila man, sana itake into account nila ang mga negative comments para maimprove nila at maredeem nila this time around. Last year, late daw ang start, at kulang ang water station.

I think every one has their own reason for running, if the freebies motivates them to run and reinforce their love and passion for running, who are we to judge them, thinking we are “better runners”? And I think it is not totally uncalled for considering the rising registration costs. Some organizers justify their high costs because they include so many freebies, in the end, runners don’t feel shortchanged. However, others charge the same registration costs, tapos titipirin ang runners which is unfair. Kung no frills, then charge reasonably.

i run for singlet design,fin shirt,fin medal,freebies and advocacy,now a days may raffle pa. Sungaban ko lahat ng iyan,bakit? Un ang trend ngaun eh. Dahil mismong mga “running events” nag kokompitensya sa bawat isa di lang tayong mga runners at ako PR lang kalaban ko because i run for fun and its health benefits.

i dont like to run for itlog at asin hussle ang epekto sa akin…i run for toilet hehehehe.

concern ko now is the color of the singlet i hope brooks is kind enough,think and act on my request to produce another color that is much trendy for male runners. tnx very much

The wooden medal given last year was just ok kasi bawi naman with the quality of singlet, nakakatawa lang ;) And the event started 15minutes late kaya mainit at hassle, good thing 15k lng ang longest distance last year. Wish lang mag-start ang event on time lalo na sa 21k coz its really damn hot pag mattas na ang araw….;)

how’s the hydration last year for 21k? thanks…

#115 The gunstart for 21K is indicated in the registration form. It says 4pm. Other details can also be found there and if you still have any inquiries contact Brooks Run Happy 2. Their number is also in the form.

The cost of one original Brooks running singlet is 1K+.

i was about to register last night at RUNNR in BGC. However, i found out it’s Event King who is organizing this event. The guy who is attending the registration wears Event King Uniform. Hindi na langa o nag-register. Ayoko na ng experience ko sa NatGeo event recently and Brooks event last year. Mag-LSD na lang ako.

Maybe you’re referring to Merrell Run which is the next project of Events King.

@aA I ran NatGeo and I think kinawawa is an accurate word to use here :D.

Very poor hydration, no gel, banana, sponge…basta wala lahat. Bahala kang tumakbo dyan sa initan. hehehe.

Nalugi kasi no loot bags and giveaways from the booths are very few if none at all.

Pero if from a runner’s perspective..kinawawa talaga.

If this is organized by Without Limits, I am hoping it will be a better race. They did well with the Eye Run. I think last year, it was organized by Adrenaline Multisport. Anyway, to be fair, this is the link from Pinoy Fitness for last year’s event.

Takbo na lang, no questions asked. Nandun naman sa poster nila yung details. Kung gusto ng iba ng magandang medal, hanggang May 15 pa ang extension ng c5 Half Marathon. Yun talaga, maganda medal dun.

@cyanide09: i had read the same post race review and it almost convinced me not to join this year. but considering the new race organizer we can give this race a second chance and hope for the best.

@pacer, I agree with you. Besides, yung singlet pa lang last year kahit paano sulit na. After the race, the singlet cost around 1k na rin. Kung same quality lang ang singlet ngayon, sulit na ang 650 for a 12k race. It’s cheaper pa rin compared to the other races out there. Enjoy na lang! :)

finally got my singlet late in the afternoon, super ganda, normally it cost Php1,450 nakita ko sa mall same quality, mas maganda kesa ibang fun run na singlet, kaya go go na ako dito, excited na ako…super sulit….see on the road my fellow runners.

registration is until supplies last so register asap so you can select you exact singlet size that is on a first-come first-serve basis.

lol.. dapat yata sa susunod mgkaroon na rin ang mga organizers ng talastasan or runners debate pra don nyo lahat masabi ang saloobin nyo.. after the run may stage sa dulo at don kyo mg debate..=)

that is what forums are for dude. freedom of expression at its finest or worst. it depends on the readers what to read and believe. the bottomline is forums are a great communication medium to share ideas or opinions among like-minded people. this is just my honest opinion and not meant to argue/debate. :-)

Same organizer pala to with St. Lukes Eye Run. Had I known na same organizer di sana ako sumali.

Runner 940 po ako ng Eye Run. For some reason di ako kasama sa list ng Finishers nyo and never kayo nag reply sa mga follow ups ko.

i communicated with the race organizer (without limits) and was confirmed that race time will be recorded using bar code not timing chip. this had been done to maintain a reasonable registration fees despite the original brooks singlet. bar code timing is not as accurate as timing chip due to 5 sec to 15 sec time differential but it is fair nonetheless.

i heard negative comments about the brooks run 2011 so i communicated with the race organizer to raise the issues. their response was convincing and made me join the brooks run 2012. based on the downloadable race route map the water, banana and ambulance locations are clearly indicated. i suggest that you download a copy the the said race route map from the brooks run site so you will be guided accordingly. :-)
