  1. @QP

we’ve raised this several times already to coach rio. i think there’s a certain number before his team implements a wave start. i’m assuming they do some calculation on the road width against the registered participants

there are always 2 ways to avoid the crowd. first is to squirm your way up to front and be among the elites. another is, which i’ve been doing lately, wait at the back and for the crowd to thin out. usually it happens after a kilometer or two. hth =)

  2. @JP:

what i mentioned is based on actual experience and not hearsay. careful you are sounding like a resident troll. LOL

    @barefootdaves:

thanks dude who i may still change my mind as my decision is not yet final. cheers! :-)

    Sweep Bus and Street Openings

Sweep buses will follow the marathon route at a 6 1/2-hour marathon pace, roughly 15 minutes per mile, after the 10:40 a.m. start. These buses will transport any entrant who wishes to drop out to the post-finish area.

After the sweep buses pass by, the city streets will reopen to traffic. Cross-street protection, medical assistance, aid stations, and other services will no longer be available. Runners on the course should move onto the sidewalks. The official ending time of the race is 7:00 p.m.

I actually think 4 hours is more than enough for a half-marathon. For those who need more time than that, I urge you to stick with 5/10/16km races for the meantime. You can and will still get the benefits of running from that. :)

  4. Remember, the Boston Marathon draws upwards of 25000 runners regularly and the New York Marathon gets over 40000 runners and those are more successful. So why complain about the 5000 21k runners in RU2 compared to those marathons? The more nga, the better pa for Guinness contention!

  5. i think dividing the 4000 strong runners into just two waves in RU1 was not enough. most of the part, it was okay for me, at my pace. and it didn’t feel like everybody’s starting out strong and leaving me behind hehehe. pero kawawa ang mga mabibilis, lalo na pagdating sa kalayaan flyover. sira ang momentum.

@daves: thanks for the tip, sir daves. para-paraan lang yan haha =)

see you on june 2… yung part 3 ng tbrdm chronicles! haha :D

  6. @vcsi and trollll: i agree with you!

    @QP: fair enough.

    > lets hope for more waves so crowd control will be reasonable. :-)

  7. @neilgutz

i think open pa. i havent seen any advisory na ubos na ang slots. ang nakita ko lang eh nasa 4k+ na ang 21k runners so me less than a thousand race kits up for grabs

  8. @neilgutz

    you can register here:
    May 7 to June 1, 2012
    Time: 10AM to 5PM
Venue: Bonaventure Basement 1 (Mondays to Tuesdays) Infront of Greenhills Shopping Center beside Shell gasoline Station or at

Unilab Main Gym (Wednesdays to Fridays) in Mandaluyong

  9. Sweeper bus… as I get good results on the last few weeks of training (kasi nga I lost a month coz of asthma! Inis!) I am feeling more confident.

I will consider the sweeper bus as my mortal enemy.

Sige sweeper bus, will see you at RU2! Magtutuos tayo! Mga slow runners and walkers wag papatalo kay sweeper bus!!!

  10. I think the bus doesn’t discriminate on your starting time. So maybe if the faster runners start at the back and the slower runners start at the front, that would give everyone ample time to avoid the bus. What do you guys think?

  11. @vcsi super thanks for the info. i guess for the big events need nga ang sweeper. i remember kasi a few years ago may isang half marathon sa states (spectator lang ako nun) wherein inabot ng 5 hours yun run nun guy (almost 350lbs) but walang vehicle. he was the last to finish but yun buong staff nun organizer was still there kahit andami ng naguwian. the timer was still on. palakpakan kami pag cross nya ng line! kasi nga bakit mo naman tanggalan ng chance yun tao to “finish” on his own (except for med reasons). but i get your point na pag libo na, need na nga ang dreaded sweeps. actually motivation ko toh in training. hahaha! katakot! :)

  12. @JP

“So maybe if the faster runners start at the back and the slower runners start at the front, that would give everyone ample time to avoid the bus. What do you guys think?”

i am a little bit confused with your suggestion. is this with respect to the arrangement of runners in the assembly area?

  13. @daves
Sorry, I meant to say that to give slower runners ample time to avoid the bus pero sorry kung medyo insensitive sa mga fast runners na gusto magstart sa front.

Kasi for example: If Wave A are faster runners and Wave B are slower runners released 10 minutes later, would the slower runners have a disadvantage with the sweep bus reaching them sooner? (Even if the wave B runners are nearly as fast as the Wave A runners) Just a thought to ponder…

  14. help naman.. open pa po ba ung registration sa tobys Moa? 10K and 3K? and saan po ba ung Unilab gym sa mandaluyong? san banda dun? bka pwd din magpa regster dun.. thanks po…

  15. @JP maganda sana yung suggestion mo naispip ko narin yun, pero kawawa naman yung mga fast runners who are after PR, fasi once the slow runners in front of them start maiipit sila sa clog of runners in the small roads were gonna pass by.

Slow runner din ako pero buti narin siguro yung me sweeper bus, it will motivate us to move our legs at the hardest time. Best we can do is develop a strategy and just go with it. It will make this run more exciting for us slow runners, there will be something great at stake! I’m deciding nga if I’m gonna move infront of the starting line, pero experience proves na delikado yun. Coz when the gun starts sobra pagmamadali ng fast runners you end up getting pushed, shoved etc. So I may place myself on the second wave, then as the people accumulate in the roads you’ve got to have to pay attention if you want to over-take a runner… it was like last time, during RU1 I never had a straight run, parati zig-zag.hehe This time the obstacles just increased! So it will be a challenge to all but most challenging to us slow runners, sarap siguro ng pakiramdam maka cross nyan! I’m inviting the slow runners duon tayo sa 2nd wave para sabay sabay tayo! =)

  16. pa-comment kahit di kasali. . hmm may vehicle sweeper? ayos yan ah :) runners will be motivated to run faster and possibly beat their previous PR :)

siksikan ba kamo dahil crowded. . di naman siguro yan, maybe on first 3-5 km lang. . so meaning may 19km pa na tatakbo kayo ng walang siksikan. .

Good luck runners! June is coming. . .

  17. @tere
just curious.. ano ba time for a 21K run para maconsider ‘slow runnner’? i consider myself kasi a slow runner that’s why takot ako maglevel-up to 21K.

  18. @Starsky

mga elite kasi 2:30 and time nila or lower sa 21k. for me it starts when your 3hrs up on the 21k category. (which is where I am) if you are somewhere in the middle I would consider this average (para sakin kasi when you start hitting a 2:55 that’s good time na!) You can best compute your time by basing it on a 5k or 10k or 15k run pero best parin is 10k and 15k run para mas accurate.

    @JP

excellent suggestion! will be there! wink-wink* Mga SLOW RUNNERS Duon na daw tayo sa back of the first wave!

    @garfield

Best way to train is in a duration of 3-6 months 3x to 4x a week with 1 long run on the weekends. SAMPLE lang to pero you can change it to your needs.

kung wala ka pa experience as a runner:
    2-3 days of x 20 mins run-walk weekdays and 1 weekend of 30-40 mins run-walk.

Pero kung me experince ka na like 3k and 5k etc:

2 days x 1 hr run-walk weekdays or jog or full run kung kaya mo na. then 1 day of speed training or just add another 1 hr. then long run 1:30 hrs. on a weekend.

Pero this is a GRADUAL BUILD UP. Kaya yung duration is 3-6 months coz you start 1-3 km. then start increasing as the weeks go by which ever you are comfortable with. eventually when you reach a 1hr. maintain it on weekdays then build up your km. on your weekend long run. For more info you can read ‘MARATHON the ultimate training guide by Hal Higdon’as reference coz meron 21k discussion duon.

  19. What’s a slow runner? They don’t exist.

If you finish the half-mary at 1:30 or you finish it at 3:00, what’s important is that you ran your best and defeated that little voice in your head saying ‘You’re slow’. There’s a reason those who finish road races are called ‘finishers’ and not ‘fast runners’ :)

Stay motivated, train well, and your time in Run United will be the best one you’ll get this year! It’s Run UNITED – slow, fast, newbie, elite, we all run together :)

    jsncruz

  21. sali ako sa palitan ng kuru-kuro ah. let me just say that it does not matter how slow you are as long as you do not stop. marami akong kilalang runner lingo-linggo kung sumali ng race nung 2009-2010 pero pagdating ng 2011-onwards isa-isa ng nawala. hindi baleng mabagal basta tuloy-tuloy umulan man o umaraw ikanga. :-)

  22. daming magagaling dito na allergic sa 2:30 na oras sa 21k, hehe kasi nakaka 1:30 or 1:00 ata sila, pero wala na ata sila dito yung mga trolls :) pero ayos din nakaka-motivate :) see you all sa ru2 :)

  23. Okay lang naman if mastereotype kaming slow runners. In the end it’s the joy of running that keeps us from getting demotivated. If it were so easy to get rid of us ‘slow runners’ by talking bad about us… well the roads will be a bit more empty. Pero in the end, we stay, continue the fight, and just keep running! Wala naman kasing prestige in having a long time, pero we get such a rush saying “IN YOUR FACE WORLD! I CAN DO IT TOO! IN YOUR FACE!” *Gangsta style* hehe

ang kalaban ng mga elite is time and their co-runners… and kalaban ng slow runners is the world and the universe!

Kaya I’m realy proud when I see someone struggling to finish at the back of the pack with me, coz I am so familiar with that internal struggle and to what measures we push our minds and bodies to accomplish the goal at hand. Walang susuko!” kaso baka batohin nila ako… hehe

  24. in the end, all of us are recreational runners. not unless one compete locally and internationally and try to beat the kenyans

otherwise whether a runner is a sub2, or a sub3, or a sub4 – we all share the road. the road towards an active and healthy lifestyle

  25. my top 3 super-like comments today:

Post No. 432: “there’s a reason those who finish road races are called “finishers” and not fast runners…”

Post No. 440: “ang kalaban ng elite is time and their co-runners, ang kalaban ng slow runners is the world and the universe”

Post No. 441 : “in the end, all of us are recreational runners…”

    pwedeng pang T-shirt …very nice…!

I know some sub-4 hour finishers who have health and weight problems but still persevere to finish and they’re by far more inspiring to me than lightning-fast runners who call awful names to those they meet up on the road still running toward the u-turn which they’ve already finished.

  27. san b manggagaling yung sweeper bus simula b s BGC or sasalubong sila galing moa? tsaka exact 8:30 am b sila mgsusundo??

  28. Dapat positive lang mga exchanges natin, as much as possible. This is to further promote the sport and encourage others to make the leap towards good health.

Very toxic na kasi ang lives natin, hopefully running will continue to provide us with the means to detox and keep fit.

Malapit na, training pa tayo! Ako for sure I still need these last 2 weeks for solid miles! (still out of shape) the last few weeks are most important. Tapos taper nalang tayo… hehe yung mga nagdiet dyan wag makalimot mag carb loading 1 week before the run, promise malaking tulong yun kahit magain ka!

    @Maharot_yan

Feeling ko galing sa BGC ang sweeper bus, coz mas practical that they start there hours after the last wave, so they can sweep the Overpass as well as Buendia properly.

  29. Nakakainspire ang mga posts dito. :)

My first run was 21k ngayon lang sa Greenfield City Run.

Pero i didnt take it negatively. Mas lalo pa akong namotivate. Sa run na yun, my Ultimate Enemy is my self. During the run, kahit alam kong pagod na yung katawan ko, i kept on running and walking, pero mas madami akong times na naglalakad, even surpassing others who were ahead of me at the start.

To all runners, lahat naman tayo nagsimula sa ganyan. Yun nga lang as you keep on running and worrying about your PRs, nakakalimutan na natin yung joy of running at yung feeling nung unang run natin. Let’s enjoy every run, appreciate every runners, and inspire others to achieve na matapos yung mga memorable runs nila.

Even the longest runs in history end once you cross the Finishline.

You all know who you are. Thank you so much. :)

  30. @monds, you wouldn’t by any chance be the guy with the red bandana? may nakausap kasi ako ng first timer din last greenfield run

    high five tayo dyan @jsncruz

  31. @Monds
just want to share lessons i’ve learn from runners ahead of me in terms of experience.

IMO- sometime kelangan din natin sundin/pagisipan yung mga discouragement nila (veterans/experienced runners). . because they discourage hindi para i-down tayo, kundi para bigyan din warning sa mga possible bad effect sa ating katawan ng long distance running.

in your case, kung ako nakausap mo discouragement din maririnig mo sa akin, pero syempre in a nice way. .=)

    2.yung tipong concern sayo
    3. yung tipong hinahamon ka

=) in your case we glad na you finish the race. . sabi nga ng mga experienced runner. . .we can finish any distance but How long?and what our condition after the race.

    @twistedhalo

I run last sats a greenfield and i finished 21K in 2 hrs 55 min.,. its my first time to run sa category ng 21K. yes i walked during the run kc ndi ko maeenjoy un kung super speed ako and yet in the end eh butata ang ktawan ko. and besides sarap makakita ng mga runners n pursigido tumakbo even the chubby guys/gals there kc they are struggling to stay healthy. to those bashers, thank you din pero i know nman n nung nagstart kau tumakbo o sumali sa gan2 eh nagumpisa din kaung mabagal.. instead n ibash nyo kmi eh bigyan nyo n lng sna kmi ng tips on how to improve like those who commented from 440-450.. muli salamat at sna makajoin din ako d2..

  33. Congrats sa mga first time 21k runners!

    @ Monds & @ genro conde

I recall my first 21k, Bullrun 2012 last Jan. It was the most painful experience of my life, and worst of it coz I was 3:11 I saw the roads empty like a ghost town. Although I believe the cut off was 3:30 they started closing early at 2:40 means the hydration tables was being cleared out. Yung mental image nalang nun imagine mo, alone running, aching, everyone leaving… Kaya ng sabi ko “it’s you against the world against the universe!” kasi kahit demotivated ka na, you try to summon what is left of your confidence… “matatapos mo ito, bawal tumigil!” coz my body was not that of an athlete and all my life I was a couch potato. Yung feeling of finishing talaga, no one cheering for you (my family even asked “Bat ang tagal mo?”) that medal, was the best thing ever!

Tapos kahit di nageemprove yung time ko, and I don’t feel stronger running 3 other 21k after the next couple of weeks, all I could think is “Fight lang ng fight!” eventually my recovery time shortened, which amazed me, hindi nga ako bumibilis, or lumalakas, pero tumitibay yung katawan ko sa pounding. Yun ang only motivation ko.

Yung 2nd time a week after my first 21k (NEWBIE big mistake was I booked 2 runs 1 week apart!!!) My legs was massively in pain, there was no way I could run GO NATURAL! What I did was (despite my good friend ‘a runner’ who told me to just rest and not join) I iced my legs for a week and got myself a compression pants… even with the compression pants it was painful but I managed to finish another 21k! this time 2km to the finish I watched in horror as I passed injured and severely pained runners. One screamed as he lay on the water table being treated by medics.

It’s a warning to us newbie’s and veterans never to underestimate the damage that a long run can do to our bodies. So if you were discouraged at some point, it was probably out of concern.

Sanay na ako after the 4th 21k last March masaraduhan ng water station. But we should pick and choose good runs that give us ample time to finish for safety reasons.

Iba talaga ang feeling if your running at the bottom of the pack, the lone wolf running desperately to get to a watering hole miles across a scorching dessert, only vultures and hyenas watching and stalking you waiting for you to drop dead! Ganuong ka intense feeling ko parati, it’s like every 21k yung mind ko naka program to feel defeat at the last couple of km, then euphoria when I see the finish line!

Ang sarap talaga magcross everytime! medal or not, finsiher shirt or not, people cheering or not!

  34. @tere

-try mo din po other distance lower than 21k. masarap din po ang pakiramdam yung makatapos ka na may lakas pa.
-I remember 2nd run ko is 21k din, from 5k jump to 21k, wala pang nagaadvice sa akin and i ran for the sake of medal. though i finish strong naman andun yung pain talaga specially after the race. nung magkaroon na ako ng mga kakilala/kaibigan at concerns sa dapat kung gawin pagdating sa sports na ito. sinunod ko sila back to lower distance ako from 5k again up to 15k. From obeying from their concerns and advice, i realize they are right why? kasi when i joined my 2nd HM, amazingly i cut almost 35minutes and set a new PR.
-hmm nag go natural ka.

    http://www.facebook.com/AngeloAsPhotographer

-cheers everyone. Sana di maulan :(

  35. Us barefoot runners dont run fast in-enjoy namin yung daan at yung paligid kasi sige ikaw na mabilis :) asan na yung FUN dun? kaya ka nga sumali ng Fun Run para have FUN Eh :) ok lang naman tumakbo ng mabilis as long as enjoy ka dun.kasi kaming mga Barefoot Runners we just ENJOY the RUN :)

  36. @barefootJJ
-kakabilib talaga mga barefoot runners. . my longest barefoot run was 5k. mahirap talaga mag speed kapag barefoot kasi ang tendency nawawala yung tamang stride para makaiwas sa blister.
-in terms of fun tama ka depende rin ang definition of FUN ng fast and slow runner. :)

  37. @tere

same ng nangyari sa akin, december2011 pa lang nakaregister na ako sa xterra 22km trail run ng feb26, pero pagdating ng jan2012 biglang nag announce ng RU1 at biglang nagkaroon ng puzzle sa medal so no choice nag register ako kahit 1 week lang ang pahinga galing xterra. lesson learned after xterra nag-suffer ako ng tight hamstring at muscle pain sa likod ng knee, ramdam hanggang ru1 so hindi ako nakakuha ng new PR (my time was 2:28 for 21k). kaya ngayon after ng nangyari sa akin almost 1 month or 2 months bago ako magregister sa mga 21k, to condition myself do some gym, crossfit and x-training…. and I guess mas ok ang kundisyon ko ngaun and hoping na maka-2:10 or 2:00 sa ru2, pero talagang tama yung iba na pag bad day, bad day talaga :)

see u sa RU2, my team and I planning to have a carbo load day (makati area) 2 days before ru2, so it will be on friday :) maybe some of us can meet up and have some rice and pasta party :)

  38. @ angelo
Duaman naman ako sa short distance, it was a gradual build up starting 3k oct 2011 until I did 10k at SMDC dec 2011… pero when I decided 2012 is 21km! I joined a 15km mark just before the holidays coz I didn’t trust myself… good think otherwise I would not discover my shoes where only good for 10k! Mabagal lang ako natural, but I am hopping to train to be faster (para sana sa RU4) kaso I keep getting sick, nakakainis! Pero although I finished strong up till 10k… right now 21k addict na ako, hinahanap-hanap ko na yung bugbog ng 21k, yung imiikay-ikay ka. haha ano pa kaya sa RU3!? I still join short races, given I have the opportunity…

    @akosimumble
Haha, madami tayo nakakafeel nyan only a few vocalize it. Personally I am proud of that feeling of loss and doubt before the finish! It’s part of the excitement of running long distance, sabi nga nila there is no challenge if you know your gonna finish! I’ll be the tall female (overweight hehe) with the words ‘asthmatic’ on her shirt. hehe

    @jeffpoblete
There are some things we just have to learn ourselves *knod-knod* sometimes our pride gets in the way of sound judgement. Noooo!” hehe

Sayang, sounds delicious! Kaso b-day sis ko yun babatukan ako nun if I try to stow away. Pero feeling ko baka magkikita tayo sa RU2 on the 12th picking up our kits… hehe only we won’t know who’s who!

  39. @angelo,
wag ka humanga sa mga barefoot runners, they are just a buch of attention seekers.kunwari lang na ineenjoy nila ang paligid, well in fact ang ineenjoy nila e un ATENSYON.d nman mahirap ang barefoot running, sinasabi lang nila na mahirap para makakuha sila ng atensyon..dahil sa kanila nagiging unfair para sa mga karaniwang runners ang pagtakbo..lagi sila pinapansin na parang kailangan br ka para mas magaling..we all ran basically for good health pero dahil sa kanila naiiba ang usapan…

  40. @james barbosa:

  41. @james barbosa

Wag ka naman ganyan friend, kasi my good friend and mentor also does barefoot.

He transitioned to barefoot coz for long as he was running (years) he multiple injuries during that span, and after almost doing everything (shoes, support, supplements) when he tried and maintained LSD accompanied with barefoot he can run with out injury or pain in his old injuries. Now he is training for a Ultra (don’t know if he plans to go barefoot… maybe five-toes instead.)

Barefoot has provided a means for him to run again and enjoy running again!

We all try different methods, some may be odd to others and even weird but we do it so we can perform without getting hurt. Like just this morn I was heckled doing my 3hr lsd (coz I am supper slow and fat!) and people kept staring at me like I was crazy =( But I just kept going with a smug smile in my head thinking “You can’t do what I am doing, even at my pace, coz it takes mental stamina and courage… which let’s face it… you just don’t have!” hahaha

We share the road, we are all Heroes!

Feeling ko iba pari training ng mga barefoot, coz they don’t have shoes there is no ‘cushion’ or ‘support’ which we look for in our running shoes. There should be an increased training in balance, leg power, so the feet and the body can withstand the pounding of ‘UN-adulterated’ pavement (more so than that of the average runner.) If you read books and articles on running some will cover the effects of long term running (you may have already come across one or two) concerning the negative impact of running all these miles for years (sure, it prolongs our lives) but on the skeletal and muscular level, we still don’t know the damage done.

So kung tayong mga shoe-runners, we have the protection of shoes… pano pa kaya mga barefoot runners?

  43. @tere:

    that’s basically what i said:

“at kung madaling tumakbo nang naka-barefoot sana naka-barefoot na lahat ng runners kasi mahal ang sapatos at wala nang specific training na kailangan.”

siyempre hindi naman ganyan ang case. kaya nga required na magdahan-dahan ang transition into barefoot running dahil ibang klaseng stresses ang nare-receive ng barefoot runners, kaya kailangan ng specific training para lumakas lalo pa’t walang shock absorption/

  44. barefoot running has its benefits..totoo nman yan..i’ve done trainings on br also..and it has helped me correct my strides and strengthen my muscles, ang sinasabi ko lang nman eh yun sobrang atensyon na naibibigay sa kanila na kung tutuusin nman eh pareho lang nman ng effort w/ the majority na naka sapatos tumakbo, same effort, same perseverance,etc..An experienced runner will never get the compliment given to a barefoot runner running the same distance,, lagi nagiging comment, “wag galing nun nakapaa!!” Which i find unfair and which i believe the br runners enjoy,,TAMA KAU D NAMAN LAHAT, pero most of them are..pero bakit ba tau tumatakbo?most if not all of us run for good health and fun..but most of these attention seeking guys are ruining the true essense of running..PARANG PG NAKAPAA KA TUMAKBO ASTIG NA?..but do try it guys, d sya mahirap tulad ng nakikita nyo, madali lang sya, at need nyo lang mag adjust ng kaunti sa style ng running nyo at malalaman nyo na d sila mga espesyal na tao para hangaan kesa sa mga nakasapatos na runners…barefoot training(i’m for it), barefoot running sa races? karamihan dyan attention seekers lang(na hindi man lang alam ang benepisyo ng br,they’re just there for the extra compliment)..and i will stand by my contention..
    HAPPY RUNNING GUYS!!!

  45. LOL for crying out loud =)) we Barefoot Runners are not attention seekers (“kanya kanya lang po tayo ng TRIP :)) “) in fact bakit niyo pinapansin kung naka barefoot kami ? so what ? we are having fun kaya nga kanya kanyang trip haha! gusto namin barefoot kasi gusto namin :)) we dont mind teh comments of other runners. Kung wala kang sasabihin na maganda better to be quiet na lang lol bata lang….KANYA KANYA lang po ng TRIP :)

congrats to us BAREfoot Runners At Merrell Adventure Run kanina :)

  46. @james barbosa

I’m very sure you stand by your words, so I won’t try to convince you anymore.

But given that you said we all run for health, you shouldn’t bother how much attention Barefoot runners are getting. Yun ang curse natin joining running, only people who are unique or truly fast are acknowledged. Okay lang yun, coz in the end we all run for ourselves.

Alam mo, the only people who DO recognize my efforts is a very small group. Mostly FB friends I don’t know that well… pero my own family ridicules me and some relatives even gossip that mayabang ako or papansin… I never asked for them to notice me naman. So did I do something wrong by joining runs?

That’s for me to decide, and them to find out.

As for barefooting, tried it kaso I have a severe balance prob on my left foot. I will trip going to fast.

    @ Mango

Sorry I was referring to this comment, maybe I misread it.

“wala nang specific training na kailangan”

  47. @ddues
(from Gawad Kalinga)

“extra attentions”? “every runners deserve”? “get use to it”? wow.

  50. Runners should promote camaraderie. We should inspire others and not the other way around kasi sa ginagawa nyo eh baka madiscourage yung mga newbies na wag nang sumali dahil iisipin nila na madaming magcicriticize sa kanila. Wag naman sanang ganun. Mapa-barefoot runner, runner with shoes, runner/walker, eh Runners pa rin tayo. If you cant stand seeing any of the above runners, you better not join any Fun Runs/Race. Hehehe.

We are joining Run UNITED, we should be UNITED. Happy Running :)

  53. Totally unrelated:

Sabi ko nun, never ako tatakbong nakabarefoot. I dont want any accident like stepping on a shard of glass ruin my marathon dream. Noon yun.

After my marathom, I slowly incorporated barefoot running sa races ko. Like running the last few kms ng nakabarefoot.

Yes, masakit minsan pag nakakaapak ng bato.

Pero sino ba tumatakbo na hindi nasasaktan?

    :)

  54. Hi Runners,

(bakit kulang? nasan yung leg 2?) =(…
