  1. Sinusumpa ko natgeo event na to., after 5 k water station and every 2.5 succeeding water station, pweeeeh tap water ung ginamit, hindi powerade or nature man lang, walang lap kng ilang km na, so d mo mlalaman split time mo! Ung route ang pangittt puro pauphill! After the 3 uturn sasabitan k pa ng tali na medallion ang kati pa amf…. Wala ring banana at sponge., Ung finisher medal mas maganda pa  sa earth run 350 pesos lang… Wala ring freebies oh my gulay, naisahan masyado mga runnurs dto, D F!!! I want my money back!!!

  2. tama wala man lang km marker.
and the results, at least organize kahit un lang according to rank.

sobrang mahal, expected ko may energy drinks man lang, loot bag, surprise finishers shirt or medal to all categories, wala talaga. 1 generic bottled water lang. pfffff! =grr

Di na nga ranked wala pa ung TOTOONG CHIP TIME! pareho lng ung gun time sa chip time. tsk!

  4. not enough water station, no sports drink, no finishers kit or freebies, no km markers & the worst I stopped 2x just to let the vehicles cross the intersection along makati…….I paid P950 for this!? :(

  5. I’m not really sure why… but my time is also a minute off… comparing natgeo and strider’s result…

but I believe that striders time is correct since I’ve checked the watch when I crossed the finish line

  6. I’m not really sure why… but my time is also a minute off… comparing natgeo and strider’s result…

but I believe that striders time is correct since I’ve checked the time when I was crossing the finish line

  7. is that all what we paid for? no sports drink? runners crammed in small water station! no loot bag? where did our money go? nothing compares to FIC RUN!

  8. i agree, worst fun run i’ve ever joined. considering your registration fee ha. kala ko pa naman very prestigious run ito, ba’t parang pang free reg ang pagkaka-organize? buti pa ang Earth Run last week.

  10. I have to agree with what others have said here. The run was overpriced and failed to meet the bare essentials of the runners.

  13. Strider time and nat geo time is confusing.

Medyo kawawa talaga mga runners sa event na ito, coz it seem they didn’t put any thought into the people joining this run. Hope they will take into consideration that the runners where unsatisfied by the event and do better next year. They have to live up to the NATGEO name after all.

Sa mga curious na wala duon:

Wala masyado sponsors, so no loot bags, no freebies, no food, meron pic souvenir pero may bayad 50p, panay water lang, and guessing ni banana wala yung mga 21k runners. Kawawa naman sila. Basta pagdating mo on site bare yung grounds, akalain mo walang sumipot na mga booth. At least nakatakbo ako… okay na sakin yun, medyo nagutom lang.

  14. don’t fret runners. this is a way to learn. next time just be careful of the races that you will join. marami nang corporate and political runs ngayon na nagtatake advantage sa sport naten. usually ang magaganda talaga is yung runs na sponsored ng sporting brands and yung organized ng runners kasi alam nila needs naten during the run. so think before you register =)

  15. Bad logistics. No signages or markers. We had to go around the block looking for the secretariat’s tent — I think it was their idea of warm-up. Not going to join anything organized by Eventking after this.

  16. Ill go for strider’s since mas sila rin yung nag time for other runs such as Rogin-e LMR and Solar Earth Run accurate naman sila noon.

I did not even see a single sponsor. And there was no lootbag indicated in the posters or event details, so I did not expect anything.

Kumbaga may sariling hydration bottle or any container every participant para maramdaman sana yung spirit ng earth day

  19. Grabe ang laki ng expectation ko sa inyo National Geographic! bakit ganun anong nangyari sa inyo PALPAK tang ina naman, 21k sobra sobra ang kilometer pinagawa nyo sa aminG Runners! grabe worst run event NO BANANA, NO POWER DRINKS…NO LOOT BAGS NO FREEBIES…MEDALS NOT DESERVE SA PRESYO NG REGS FEE! ANO BA YAN! HINDI NA MAUULIT ITO NEXT YEAR.. ISUSUMPA KO KAYO! 2 thumbs down

I’ll give my middle finger as a sign of dismay.

  24. @kulitrunner:

  25. The race is overly priced and the services is very poor.

The water stations are very limited…

This is Earth Day run but it is promoting the use of plastic bottles and cups…. This does not aligned with its objective…

    :(

  27. Looks like I made the right decision to skip this one.

I hope at least walang na-injure sa race na ‘to..

P1,150 for 21K no sports drink, no freebies no Km marker etc. For P750 at 5 km distance, panawa ka sa sports drink (powerade).Every 500m may hydration station. galing pa mag assist ng mga organizers even yung mga zombies may concern sa mga participants they will ask you if your okay at kung kaylangan mo ng medic. May freebies pa after the race at galing pa ng drifit shirt.

  29. Worst run!!! Worst organizer!!! We ran 21k and we badly needed some energy drink and banana, when we saw some marshals along the way we asked if they have some but they just laughed at us. If we only have the energy na makipagtalo that moment ginawa na namin. One more thing, even yung mga marshals wala man lang pakialam sa runners. No support or cheer at all. Instead of them saying, “Keep going runners!!!” , ang sinasabi nila “WALA PA BA HINIHIMATAY!!!.. sabay tawa… Super worst event!!!!

  30. Here is my 2-cent worth of comment of the run. The race was disappointing due to the following points:

    1) Marshalls were not enough. There were times when a runner had to be careful in crossing the street due to oncoming traffic.
    2) There were no sports drink considering that it is already summer & heat should be considered as a factor. Water simply was not enough.
    3) Hydration stations were about 2Km apart. This was a fun run not an international marathon.
    4) There were no KM signages & no Finisher’s shirt. A nice souvenir shirt for a somewhat difficult course would have been nice.

The good points of the race were:

    1) Nice race route. It was not new but a deviation to the route that runners are more accustomed too. A runner had to be prepared.
    2) The the medal was a pleasant surprise!

    • My friend said upon seeing my finishers medal that it was recycled from last years run! They just changed the lace! I dont know if i should be happy about it bcoz they recycled, or should be sad bcoz i paid a huge amount just to get a recycled medal! I wont be running nat geo run again!

  31. So next year, mag Earth Run nalang kayo lahat just like a lot of runners did. Two thumbs down sa organizers nito! Boo!

  32. tsk tsk.. kawawa naman ang mga tumakbo dito.. buti na lang.. i decided not to run in this event..mahal nga kasi..tapos ganyan pa pala ang na experience niyo.. kaya next time.. wag na natin silang suportahan.. iparamdam natin sa kanila ang ginawa nila sa inyo.. :(

  33. who is the organizer of this run? really a thumbs down for me. never again for natgeo next year. unless it will be a different organizer.

  34. Nayari n nmn kyo ng reg fee mga nam at sir! Mag trail run n lng kyo level up. Level up kyo. Try nyo. Pang maintenance n lng yng road run. Level up!

  35. I am so sorry to say that so-called ” Natgeo” has been worst ran for me. very Messy. We paid a lot, and the service water? what was that? And addition to I noticed some runners tried to cheat, it might because the routes are very bad. Some are stucked and need to stop for awhile otherwise you will bump on the other runners. Not organized signage’s as well as staff? How come a big event like this became worst, we never expected this! Is NATGEO first time organized this event? Sorry. BUt ihope next time you should consider our comments. Its all for us. Anyway, though its disappointing, I am still happy to be a part of this event! thanks

  36. Worst race ever, considering the hefty reg fee. My friend’s time wasn’t even recorded in the results, moreover, the bib he got was registered under another person. Personally, my name and race bib number don’t even match in the results. If they got that wrong, I wonder how many more people’s times they mixed up.

  37. Last year’s run was a failure and it happened again yesterday. Good thing, hindi ko na inulit. After last year’s run, I told myself I’ll never run on this event ever again.

  38. felt bad for the runners of this event, buti na lang sa Running Dead ako sumali the night before, sulit ung P750 mo, masaya ung run, better organized, maganda ung dri-fit souvenir shirt, at higit sa lahat sarap ng buffet …sulit na sulit ..

  39. I expected more from the organizers considering the Php1,150 fee for 21K. No sports drinks, no kilometer markers, no finisher’s kit. I hope that next year the race principal can get Runrio to organize the event. Event King and other race organizers just don’t cut it.

  40. Agree with most of the observations:

    Pluses:
    – Enough marshalls
    – On time gun start
    – Nice route
    – Nice different start & finish
    – More than enough portable CRs
    – Portable CR along route

    Minuses:
    – No distance markers
    – Few & far in between hydration stations
    – Short table hydration stations that tend to congest
    – No bananas
    – No give-aways

Because of these, difficult to attract runners for this event next year. Expect far less participants becuase of the very high cost but poorly organized

  41. i cant agree more… after outbreak eh nakakadismaya talaga tong run na to… bat nagtiwala ang natgeo sa organizer? nakakasira ng pangalan… pwedeng dayain ang u-turn dahil wala namang timer dun sa turn… walang markers para malaman mo kng gano kana kalapit sa goal mo. kng eventking ang organizer eh cguro last run event nyo na to kaya ginaganto nyo kami… im hoping for an energy drink man lang sana sa finish line… i’ll never run for natgeo na din… hindi nyo iniingatan ang runners nyo para ipagkatiwala nyo kami sa ganyang klaseng organizer

  42. this race gave “natgeo” a bad name as this will be remembered as a mediocre race rather than a race for a cause.

guys charge it experience and learn from the mistake of joining this race and so-called cause.

  43. This over-priced running event was poorly organized!! The list of ill-conceived things during the run is endless. Worst, the absence of reminders and organizer-managed waste bins along the route contributed to used paper cups and plastic bottles scattered along the way!! What a huge irony!!

  44. what hurts the most is not the failed race execution but the amount of money that runners invested in this race.

imagine parting your hard-earned P1150 for a 21K and all you got along the route is water. ganun na ba kamahal ang tubig ngayon? WTF!

  45. pag cross mo s finishline bahala n kayo s buhay nyo, tutal bayad na tayo mga runners!! all i get was 1pc. bottled water… damn!!! walang kwenta ang organizer nito “eventking” panget n shirt panget pa race event! lahat panget grabe..

  47. ..so this means NatGeo Earth Run 2012 is the leading candidate for this year’s worst run.. you have to give credit to Runrio for sticking its neck out by apologizing after that lootbag scandal in last month’s Unilab Run… i bet nobody from NatGeo or from the organizer is willing to explain this scam… i had to register online and had my racekit delivered… i think ended up paying 1350 including delivery!!!

  48. Problem wasn’t that it wasn’t well organized– it actually was. But the high registration fee set expectations that were a lot higher than what actually happened. If the registration was just 300-400 pesos then fine I’d have no complaints. But the poor quality shirt, lack of freebies, lack of sports drinks… it’s not an outrage, just disappointing.

  49. I think this is a BIG SCAM…. if they say this is for a cause… did they also think about the condition of the runners? hmmm maybe we should write a letter to NATGEO… this is very disappointing!!!!

  50. 21k water station personnel on the last turning point was commenting
    “GINUSTO NYO YAN EH”
natawa nlng ako sa pagka-dismaya hehe
    very disappointing.
    a traumatic 1st 21k run for me

  51. This race was a rip-off! Worst running event I’ve joined so far. No km markers, tipid na hydration booths and no giveaways. Buti na lang may medal unexpectedly.

  52. the dri-fit shirt was actually ugly! hindi ko nga sya sinuot nung actual run! definitely hindi ko din sya ipang roadrun, yung ba ang Intl brand mr. eventking??
    isauli bayad!!
