  1. Great event, portalets and hydration station were adequate. GU gels on the >30Km mark while banana on a few stations starting at 20Km mark. Enjoyed the run, route was tougher than expected and last kilometer felt longer. Village station was great too with free massage and booths to get foodie. Two thumbs up

  2. Well organized. Refreshing venue.

  4. Great run… Super late nga lang yata yung shorter distances… I was about to leave the venue … I noticed 3k waves being barbequed… Jowk… Run happy!

  5. Congrats! T’was a great event…I’m so proud of my second 21k medal luv it! Hydrations stations were abundant…there were available portalets even sa skyway…Galing!

  6. in my opinion THE best running event in The Philippines right now ! congrats to the Concepcions and all the organizers and finishers out there :) 16K finisher here

  7. in my opinion THE best running event in The Philippines right now ! congrats to the Conceptions and all the organizers and finishers out there :) 16K finisher here

  9. May I thank Ms. Gen Kun (if I remember it right). She was very accomodating when I asked her to pace me from 29th KM to the finish line. My injury, runners’ knee, recurred and what’s left in me was spirit. I know I still have the gas but the problem is my left knee. There was severe pain. This wonderful lady, really helped me to go through. If not with her, I could have probably walked all the way thru. Thank God for my 5:40 finish.

Kaya dalawang injury ang lagi kong naeencounter, iliotibial band and runners’ knee. But life goes on with it, I still love running. Next 42K stop, Milo Marathon.

  10. The best decision I done as far as my running career is concerned. Good thing I followed my instinct, though I was not able to register 21k & settled for 16k. First time I ran the skyway and it was really a high feel! I will train for 42k for next year’s event! Congrats to all involved in organizing this event!

  12. The Condura Skyway Marathon raised the bar high for all other running events in the country. Everything from hydration to the baggage deposit/claiming was very well thought of. Portalets were available throughout the course, which is something you don’t see in other events. After crossing the finish line, you were immediately handed bottle water and sports drink. Marshals and security personnel were all over and ready to assist and ensure safety and order.

Thank you and congratulations to all finishers. My hats off to the RUNNINGSHIELD and his team for a very very successful event. You just set the GOLD STANDARD.

Thank you for making my first 21K memorable.

  13. it was very obvious that the organizers and everybody behind the event really spent a lot of time, thought, blood, sweat and tears to make the event GORGEOUS! congratulations!!!

  14. Didn’t get my target time of 4:15 but still below my last 42k time of 4:30 at QCIM. Nakaka bato sa Skyway, yun nalang lagi nakikita mo! Sana man lang may sports drinks sila aside from the water. Saw 1 table offering another drink pero 100plus sya w/c is not the best alternative to water while still running.

This is going to be my last Condura na. I’m giving up the skyway:-)

Wala ring saging along the route. Nag-hypoglycemia na ako from 18k onwards, I ended up walking tuloy. I was leading wave B pa naman, may bike escort from start to 17th Km. sayang.

  16. This is my first run and I enjoyed it! Hoping to see my PR soon. Thanks again to all the organizers!:)

  17. I agree with Vic on this.. 100 plus is not the best alternative to water while running.. nakaka-gas sya and i burped for about 2-3 minutes after drinking this.. Aside from that this is the best event I joined so far! For all the other runs, think twice Condura has set the bar HIGH! Next year ulit!

  18. correct ka jan Vic…skayway run is so Boring pang once na naktakbo ka na di mo iiscipin na tumakbo uli ,,Lalo na kung puro tubig lang nasa hydration table nila

  19. Thank you Condura for such a superb High Class Marathon event here in the philippines. Till next year I’m ready 42K next stop.Congrats all my fellow runners..

  20. shares my humble experience im 42k runners, maganda ung takbo, organize kaso entire 42k water ung sini serve sa mga runners and kunting 100plus parang d namn energy drink un pampasakit sa tyan pa.nabusog kmi sa water he he he, and ung banana nasa 20km lng ata after nun wala na. Sabi may G.U enegy gel meron nga ko nakita kaso puro wala ng laman .At pinakasakit pa wala na kami nkuha finisher shirt na yellow ubos na daw saklap naman nun, kala namin alloted sa lahat.next year sana may energy drink na, dun lng naman cla nagkulang hope next year they take note some lapses this year events..kudos to all.

  21. Agree..tapos upon getting your medal, nakaplastic pa at kasama ang 1pc banana. di man lang nilagay sa paper bag(bawal plastic sa alabang). ok yung mga med. staffs nila, talagang visible sa buong route. pansin ko rin na walang time sa finish line.

  22. It was a nice experience for me to be running for the first time in the Skyway. But comparing it to most of other Runrio events I have joined in, I felt a little disappointed kasi puro tubig lang ang nasa hydration stations. Me iilang stations lang na nagserve ng 100plus, I think only 3 or 4 sa 21K na route. I didn’t get to have a banana along the route as well. Ayun, mejo disappointing lang. But then again, the experience was awesome.

  23. it’s one of a kind experience running the skyway! kudos to the organizers, keep it up till many years to come!

i was just disappointed with no bananas and sponges along the race route and i noticed that just only 3 hydration stops have 100plus then the rest are water. but i was really waiting for the bananas and sponges :'(

  24. a very well thought of race event.. the course was tough, though I still enjoyed running at the skyway!!! congrats to all the finishers!!!

  25. There should have been more 100 plus stations and not just purely water. Thanks too summit though cause they have provided water to all 42k runners.

  26. Agree with other runners. For the price we paid, we should have had sports drink every water station.. Imagine doing a 42km na puro water lang. (Although they did warn us to be self sufficient…but this is inexcusable.)

Even the ambulance didn’t have anything for dehydration. WTH.

To the organizers: We really don’t need the frills(the fireworks, band, etc)It doesn’t take a lot to make your runners satisfied. Just make sure we have enough hydration and believe me, you’ll have happy and loyal runners who will keep on patronizing your event each year.

  27. my first condura run and i think i have my new PR for 21k yahoo yahoo yahoo (will just wait for the result to confirm it)
btw they said 21k runner would have banana and power gel parang wala ata kami nakuha
and kawawa mga 3k runner 8am na ata tumakbo

  28. corret k jan Cheeky, meron p clang firework wal sa mga runner yan , meron p clang Band performer ,for sure indi pansin ng mga runner yan dahil busy discussing the run ..what runner needs good supply of hydration needs and of course loot bags

  29. One of my nicest runs yet

    Pros:
    * Organized from the beginning pa lang. Maayos yung pagkaka send out sa mga runners
    * Lots of portalets along the way
    * Festive ang mood lalo na dun sa ilalim, sa malapit sa starting line
    * I don’t think may nakalusot na mga bandits hahaha
    * Ayos yung mga cheerers!
    * Kahit marami tao, maayos pagkakapila ng lahat when claiming the medals, drinks, bags etc.

    Cons:
    * Wala masyado isotonic drinks

  30. My 1st Marathon. It was challenging for me for the last 16 kilometers. My body is aching pero I was able to achive under 4hrs. plus. The best marathon yet for me. Thank You Condura! Next year ulit!

  31. well organized but unfortunately they didn’t serve any energy drink for 42k until last 4k or so…result depleted electrolytes all through out..some medics also ran out of liniment..but it was a good race except for these things.

  32. I had such a good experience w/ this run, considering this was my first time on the skyway & my first 21k… this definitely is one of the runs that I will make an effort in doing in the future and will def. recommend to others. Event was well run-(there were more than ample hydration stations, portalets… us runners were covered here! so thank you organizers!!!)

Other than hydration, everything went well.

  35. set a new PR for 21k..hopefully next year i’ll run FM..

plus more electrolytes, bananas and sponges next year..

overall it was indeed a nice organized run..

    tnx Condura

  36. @CheekyGirl actually naisip ko rin yan kanina as i approach last 3k of 21k e, tama ka jan sana hindi na sila gumastos sa fireworks it is very useless, sana nagoffer na lang ng gatorade/powerade kahit ilang additional stations lang..

but overall ok naman, except hydration

  37. International standard marathon talaga from start to finish. I only ran 10k because i’m still recuperating from 21k at Subic but I loved the medal! Even the portalets had attendants to make sure the smell is controlled! Celeb sightings: Andy from Biggest Loser and Fernando Zobel. Next target: 21k or 42k next year I hope they will still have the humongous medals. Cons: so many flies in Skyway one flew into my mouth and another into my nose haha

  38. first of all, thanks for the free 16k race kit from miss pam and sir jet…

  39. Very impressed overall. Nice job by the organizers.

    Pros:
Well organized. Wave start alleviated excessive congestion at the narrow start.

Very organized at the finish with plenty of distance so runners could keep moving and great job distributing water and 100 Plus.

Really enjoyed the venue of the Skyway and starting in Alabang.

    Cons:
The water stations were not well thought out.
    1) Too short so they became very congested with some runners just standing or walking in front of them.

    2) It was insane to have runners approach the water stations from both directions. This was disruptive if you were trying to achieve a fast personal time.

3)As others have stated, there should have been more sport drinks available.

  40. My wife ran 10k. around 7k, sprained a little bit. sabi ng medic wala raw silang pang spray or ointment man lang for 1st aide. so, she just continued running. . . . . .wala eh.

  41. Thought we’ll be treated like a king for running 42k? Di ko po yata naramdaman yun. Too much hype from their marketing people. For the hefty reg. fee, I expected to have reasonable energy drinks & bananas along the route. The whole 42k distance 3 stations lang my energy drink & just 1 banana station. Good thing nkahabol pko sa enegry gel at 32k mark. Nkakatawa nga some people manning the hydrations, humihingi ako ng gel sbi sa next station pa daw samantalang ang dami nkalatag sa katabing table lng. Then sa last station humihingi ako ng 1 bottle energy drink, di ako napagbigyan dahil mdami daw gagaya. Napangiti n lng ako & pinabayaan kesa mabwisit ako e 7k pa tatakbuhin ko.

  42. Also to all 21k runners na nkasalubong nmin tnx for all your cheers, Sen. Pia Cayetano was one of them. During one of my stops for stretching my waist biglang may sumigaw na “Go marathoners” sa kabilang side, pagtingin ko parang si Senator ata yun ah. Nkakabawas tlaga ng pagod. Done in conquering skyway…my first & last condura marathon.

  43. I’m a regular 10K runner but I think this route is the longest and not calibrated 10K route. According to my ipod I run 12K from the starting line. And Why the first water station is almost 1/3 of the race?
    No energy drink just water.
And why bid number is register to other name in the race result? Is it final ? Because my bid number is register to a female and not in my name.

  44. This is so far the best local event with well planned gun start. With waves and most especially distance category very far apart, as a full marathon runner I did not experience any congestion as a result improved my best time for nearly 25 minutes. One thing to improve about the waves is that it should be based on individual pacing/best times rather than the first come, first serve.

Anyway, congratulations to all participants. =)

  45. had a great time running the skyway! For me it was the safest run with all of the lights on, hydrations (magcocomplain pa ba yung mga tumakbo sa animo run? He he), security and orderliness, awesome medals, and seeing sen pia cayetano cheering the 42k runners! But not the most challenging 21k which is still the AXN Run Phils and the best experience which is Subic Intl Marathon.

  46. //@Rotech: Gen Kun or Gen Power Up Runner — she’s a very nice lady..glad you bumped into her just when you needed someone to pace you through the rest of the 42k route..Good job to both for conquering yet another 42k challenge..!

…@dudes: i so agree with you that more than anything else, hydration supply after crossing the finish line is a MUST. a small bottled water and a bottle of 100 Plus weren’t enough..instead of spending on those bands (though i really enjoyed their music), more emphasis should have been on the needs of the runners. though i would say that runners should be responsible about their hydration needs, but then again, after crossing the finish, one is all to tired and exhausted (and what have you) to make it to the baggage counter and get your stuff for you water/energy drinks…

…for all it’s worth, it was a good run for my money (IMO)..great event..!

    –my blog’s coming out..

  47. All in all, the run was great, with the very challenging uphills of the Skyway especially for 42K.

But the downside is for the hydration, I counted only 4 hydration station which offered 100 plus drinks along the 42K route. Sports drink is a MUST for long distance run, not just water. It’s good I got a 340ml Cobra on me :-)

    Congrats everyone!

  48. cONGRATS TO THE ORGANIZERS, IT WAS WELL ORGANIZED. THE 3K run started one hour late, 8:00 am because according to the announcement the skyway was congested. I suggest that with the many registrants the organizers will anticipate the congestion and announce changes at least a day before.
Again my sincere congratulations. There were runners from Cebu and Alkbay who just came for the run.

  49. I choose this as my first full mary and I don’t regret it! The course was tough, and it being a midnight marathon, running against my normal body clock made it even tougher. I’m proud to say I finished it (though I’m not entirely happy about my finishing time of 5hrs30mins). God-willing, I will be back next year for the full mary. I have a score to settle with the Skyway ;p

  50. The best race I’ve ever run so far (though short pa lang ang running career ko.. Anyway, will definitely run again next year! KUDOS to the organizers and more power to you XD

  51. i really enjoyed my first skyway run can’t wait for next year..

and oh! i love the ramp view from the starting line..

i conquered you skyway.. til next time!

  52. @Runnerstoe, I absolutely agree with you Rod.
That 42k was my first time. Now I know the feeling of having no practice. It was not so tiresome as I have imagined. My enemy is myself particularly on the cramps in my both legs which started on the 23K mark. For this, I did not get my goal time of sub 4:30 but still I logged 4:50+:xx something at the finish line as member of WAVE C runners.

  53. Overall a great run for my first 16k :)

And there was a clock in the finish line, sa likod nga lang ng sign. If you look back after crossing, you’ll be able to see it. I just don’t know bakit andun yun :P

  54. great event. while there are lapses but every year is improving. i hope they will see to it that all runners from the first to arrive up to the last runner be treated the same treatment and care: bananas, energy gel, drinks, and most of all, lot bags. It would be very frustrating to learn that after you have completed your event, you will be meeted with ” sori, ubos na po”. nevertheless, we have new standards to hold and improve.congratulations to all finishers. see you again next year skyway…

  55. I had wonderful time! Running the 21k on Skyway feels like I’m on top of the world. I don’t care about the PR basta hindi ako kulelat ok na yun, I ran freely not thinking of anything basta that freedom that I felt was all that is to me, ang sarap!

Mr. Ton Concepcion, Thanks for this opportunity! Next year uli :-)

  56. @angelo
maraming salamat for your pics as always. 6 albums kmo? wow sige, ill view them later. nice seeing you yday at the PF Booth.

    @jackie
thank you Grupong Pagong Runners. hanggang sa next run event po.

    @camiagirl_mj
thanks also for sharing your photo link. hindi ko pa na-view but i hope nahagip ako ng lens mo, hehe.
