BDO Unibank, in coordination with the BDO Foundation, will hold its 4th annual fund raising run dubbed as “Race 4 Life”. It will be held on March 25, 2012 (Sunday), from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Marathon Route of Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Proceeds will help fund the housing projects of BDO Foundation, Inc. for typhoon victims.

  1. @ruel: I agree to what you are saying..but while it is true that it is everyone’s right to comment, I really do not see the logic of having to discourage other runners from joining any event (or this event in particular)just because they find it inconvenient for them. Yes, their opinion whether good or bad is their choice to share, pero parang epal naman kung paulit paulit diba? What’s in it for those hecklers? The satisfaction of making a Run unsuccessful? Ang sama naman ng taong ganun. Yun lang.

  2. i see tons of comment clamoring for finishers medals. i want to believe that it is the organizer’s prerogative if they want to give one or not. i guess the reason they are doing this is to cut on cost in order to be able to give more to the beneficiary

    if you look at it on a different perspective, it is good to know that they are issuing finishers medals to the lower distances as well (3k at 5k). in the last 2 years, most races only provided medals to the half-mary (21k) category. now i see organizers are being pressured to hand over a medal regardless of distance

    i guess the fun run scene is changing. evolving. but i do hope it is for the better. as for me, i want these organizations to continue providing us quality runs in the coming years. whatever you decision, participate or not. lets continue the habit of living a healthy lifestyle. happy thoughts everyone =)

    nicely said, my friend.

    and in addition, medals are really exciting incentives to most runners, and to add to our collection,but i also hope the rest of us will also learn and try to understand that by simply registering and joining in these athletic events, we feel like already receiving “invisible medals” becoz we are able to help the beneficiaries and get ourselves into active sports.

  4. ganun talaga, from the start na magpa event cla dapat nakahanda cla sa mga good or bad comment. ika nga how can you in courage other runner kung magbabatuhan lang cla ng di-magagandang salita or papatulan yung mga comment… we knows naman n its for fund racing and also for the benefits for typhoon victims… why don’t ask in a good things like; there’s a lot of hydrogen for every 1.5km and banana also, more marshal,safety ng mga runner dun sa mga route and first aid (ambulance) . after that ma enjoy naman ng mga runner yung pagsali nila sa event for cause naman. (Hindi yung makasama cla sa victims its because of lack of preparation).

  5. e di ko naman sinabi na loko-loko ang mga runner e. runner din ako, pero di ako nakikialam sa pag-organize ng event. kung ayaw ko sa set-up di ako magregister. kung parte ka ng organizing team pde ka makialam kung hindi wag na, kasi me mga reason yan kung bakit ganun ang set-up na di naman kelangang sabihin sa lahat. at saka wag paulit-ulit. :-)

  6. Question: Once paid, when can we get the singlet? Is there a possibility to change the singlet size if it doesn’t fits me?

    The sizes in the chart seems to be too big. I may be wrong but please check…

  10. # 206 napansin mo rin ung size ng tshirt. Imagine f XL ka, ung chest size 29in lang then ung haba 41in, hangang tuhod. Actually baligtad lang, dapat chest 41 then ung haba 29.

    Singlets/Kits will be distributed on March 16, 17 and 18 at BDO Main Office in Makati. Details of distribution will be sent out to your email. Please check email if received.

  13. For those who would like to know….

    All Runners who had successfully made it to the finish line will have there Nice Finishers Shirt…. This means for all category…

    For the finishers medal… will stick on the essence of the RACE… Top 50 for 3k and 5k runners and Top 100 for 10k and 15K runners…

    Be the best 10K or 15K runner and get a Soleus Watch with your winners medal and some surprise….

  14. BTW: for those who are asking for the in-store registration. We’re working on partnership with L Time Studio at MOA , Mega Mall, Trinoma and Greenbelt. We shall keep you posted on the schedules.

  17. same amount rin po ba kung mag-online registration ang mga gustong mag register sa online registration nyo.. salamat po po and god bless… at kung sakaling sumali ako at ang misis ko pwede kubang makuha dito sa bdo katipunan qc ang race kit kasi sa katipunan qc po ako nagtatrabaho…

    Yes, you will pay the same amount if you will register online. Payment will be at any BDO branches.

    Race kits will be distributed only at BDO main office in Makati on March 16, 17 and 18. But we are considering a walk-in registration site. Will announce the venue and time SOON.

    Also, registration lang ba ung plano nyong in-store? Yung claiming ng race kit sa head office pa rin on the date specified? or makukuha na agad yung race kit pag in-store? Thanks.

    ive been monitoring all the comments but until now,walang ka smooth(2x)
    ewan ko ha hindi naman dapat ganito eh,ang mga runners or i mean ang mga client pa ang palaging nakiki-usap!
    ive expirienced once di ko na talaga uulitin ang on line registration and or paying at the bank and then went to the venue for claiming race kits…it was so hussle tlga! NGA-NGA!!!

  43. Calling BDO, wag naman kasi kayo sobrang matipid. Pumantay na nga kayo sa registration prices ng ibang runs, sana naman yung convenience ng registration maibigay nyo sa runners. And yung medals sana for all na. Di pa nga namin tiyak kung maganda pag-organize. naka 2 bdo runs nko medyo magulo but im not discouraging fellow runners to join. I’m just giving advise to the organizers. Give the runners their fair share para ma-enjoy nila.

  44. regarding lang the singlet sizes, hindi ko alam if mali ako or am i pointing out what seems to be an obvious mistake hehe, but it looks like nagkapalit yung headings na chest and length. for example, yung chest size ng XS is 24 inches, length is 33 inches.quite impossible to have a 24 inch chest measurement unless youre a kid, tapos kung 33inches ang length, parang halos hanggang tuhod. wala lang, concerned lang sa sizing kasi gusto ko lang masulit yung singlet kahit after the run haha.

  47. Naku toots, tama ka regarding singlet size. Na e tx ko na yan kay Jheff L. n walang nangyari. Imagine if XL ka yung haba nang singlet u 41″..lagpas tuhod.

  49. any chance na ma-move ang race na to ng april or may? i really want to join this run kaso kasabay nung sa tupperware na ok din naman beneficiary na nakapagregister na ako dahil may discount ang early bird. hehehe sana di sabay sabay yung mga magaganda yung beneficiaries para hindi hati yung runners tapos mas maraming makakasali sa parehong event.

  55. hanggang feb 29 lang ba talaga ang registration? walang ng extension? interested sana ako mag join kaya lang hindi ko maasikaso. mga march 9 p ko pwede. may chance pa ba maka register beyond that date?, TY.

  58. nakakatawa mga runner noh, una charity at for a cause yung run na ito, 2nd meron din naman malaking expenses ang organizer. diko maintindihan bakit lagi na papasok ang amount ng registration, bakit di nyo isipin yung iba nyo ponag kakagastusan? you can afford to buy branded clothes pero pag ganito kinukuripot nyo sarili nyo mga runner. might as well wag kayo tumakbo sa fun run pwd naman kayo tumakbo ng walang bayad like sa umaga or after work sa gabi or sabayan nyo na lang ang mga runner na afford mag bayad ng reg. fee. MEDALS yes i agree dapat sa 15k equal ang lahat ng runner sa medal the rest dapt finisher shirt na nga lang ehh. kasi the longer the km na tinatakbo ng runner the more na nag eexpect ng something to look back or pang hahawakan nila na na achieve nila yun so for BDO fun run organizer sana pag isipan nyo rin mabuti yun. tandaan madami kayo katapat that day. march 25

  59. For the walk-in site, you can pay and get your kits immediately. R.O.X is the only site that we can provide to accommodate you guys.

    These are the dates that you might want to visit our walk-in registration venue ( March 7,8,9,10,11 and 14,15,16,17,18) from to 2pm to 7pm.

  73. sana may medal na lang lahat. para pantay-pantay,syempre kakagatin din to ng mga marathoners talaga. mawawalan ng chance ung iba (beginners). .

    and lumalabas sa event na to,pabilisan ang labanan..

  78. dapat deserving lang mga bininigyan ng medal.. tama yan top finishers lang dapat may medal or yung tumakbo ng half marathon… pero kung ang ginagawa mo lang naman eh maglakad saka makipag photo shoot sa mga kasama mo during run sa tingin mo magiging proud ka sa medal mo… kung gusto mo maging top finishers at magka medal mag practice ka…umaangal tayo na tumataas na reg. fee sa mga run pero hindi natin naiisip na kaya siguro ganun kasi ang dami natin request sa mga organizers.

  82. Wag ng bitter runners can do whatever they want to do as long you finish the category you fit in. Running is for fun and not for you to be stress out. Meron ako alam complete ang training and coach pa. Pero after the run pag uwi sa bahay black out and sent to a near hospital and revived for almost fifteen minutes. Thanks alive! Do you want to expirience this?
    Ok lets run for life,for love,for fun. Pero guys di ako registered dito kasi sabi nga ng iba rito matipid hehehe kaya sa ibang event ako nag join.
