  1. Bitin. They should have made 5 to 8km, 10 to 16km and 21 to 25km. Obviously, a lot of serious and elite runners here wanting for more pain cum ‘extending their limits.’

This is one for my running journal. Everything about it was, uhmm… exhilarating. The fresh oxygen was a therapeutic relief to the lungs and the view was orgasm to the eyes. You will not know ‘tired’ when the elements are just so healthy and divine. The best part, conquering the uphills with your heart.

On this clear day at Tagaytay, I seems that I just want to run forever….

    Thanks Nathan. Good job.

  2. my first 10k! tapos ako na ang nagulat na ganun siya ka uphill great experience, great scenery! according to runningmate, I ranked 307/317, pero OK lang at least natapos ko.

The hills ate me for breakfast! sana nga lang merong finishers medal lahat for 10k. I deserve a ‘Topped 10’ medal for topping 10 finishers LOL

  3. Thanks sa organizer dito! I enjoy the run. The place, walang kalat, walang masyadong sasakyan at fresh air! Best run so far for 2011 :)

good job organizers! sana nxt yr meron ulet…

  5. best race so far for me! hinde ko man na beat yun 10k record ko but this race is the best! lalabas talaga kung sino ang malakas! and finally nakakita din ako ng pinoy na nang iwan sa kenyan ng milya milya sa 21k category!!! were so proud of you!!! congrats!!

  6. BRUTAL course! but the 360 views of the highlands in the background & clean air makes it well worth it (in hindsight). will def take part in this next yr.

  7. Great run! definitely for the record! this will go down as one of the most epic run in history. HAHAHA!

  8. This was a challenging uphills run & am so happy I made it to the finish line with all the air gasps while climbing up… Thanks to the organizers! One of a kind – package deal (free photo shoots). Excited to see the PF pics… :)

  9. This was a challenging uphills run & am so happy I made it to the finish line with all the air gasps while climbing up… Thanks to the organizers! One of a kind – package deal (free photo shoots). Excited to see the PF pics… :)

  11. grabe yung ruta, pamatay talaga. first time kong napilitang maglakad sa 21K. hinde talaga kaya yung paakyat simula 17th km. pati yung kabayo hiningal eh :)

abangan ko to next year, sure sali uli ako. salamat sa patakbo nyo Nathan

  12. Very good!absent bukas..haha.See you guys next year. The results were swift, Sana runrio events adapt this kind of timing intead of their recent PDF files.

  13. One of the best runs for this year…Loved the concept of no paper cups to avoid waste…The killer hill at Km15-16 is well, Killer! I remember the marshalls shouting, “The hard part is over. Now comes the HARDEST part! :)

Overall, congrats to Nathan for haing organized a challenging and worthwhile run. Hopefully meron uli next year.

  14. Definitely my most memorable run. The best combination of knee-breaking downhill trails and lung-bursting uphill climbs. Buti na lang may bottomless na Gatorade!!! Laking tulong din ng Bodivance…

Kudos to the race organizers for a job well done.

  15. This is my toughest and best 21K run I ever had! 3km+ straight uphill ooouch!

Also, Congratulations to the winner of 21K category: Mr. Mario of ARC! you eliminate the black runner! haha

Thanks to the following for the photos:

  16. i almost quit at this run that ‘up-hell” is sick! funny coz right after the start may uphill agad tapos nangamoy rubber/clutch you’ll know runners are burnin rubber to exert effort to pass the uphill.

very organized run, with only few runners good freebies and flooding gatorade, beautiful place complete package!

    congrats to all runners :)

  17. its not how you conquer the uphill and downhill of a mountain… but how you conquer yourself…the best run this year…

NATHAN ORGANIZER… please paki correct wala ang name ko sa race result nyo… bib no. 1210 for 5k category. thanks

  18. one of the best organized Run.. thanks Nathan! hydration, route, marshals, photo shooters… thanks also to Tagaytay Highlands…upHELLs and downhills talaga…see you again next year!

  19. The most challenging of all my 21k races! talagang na redefine ang run ko! A test of willpower to finish the race, nice medal too. Congratulations to all runners!

  20. The most memorable run for me so far. Challenging ng route. Ganda ng view. Organized ang event. Sino organizer nito? Two thumbs up!!!!

  21. Thank you Nathan for a wonderful experience yesterday.I have never been in this kind of running event. I want to retreat on my 2k and i said to myself na sana 5k lang muna register ko although im a 10k runner na. But still cant believe na natapos ko.
Nathan, I salute to your advocacy!
Thanks for the good food and for the nice airconditioned function room after the run!Sulit na sulit ang event na ito.
    Kudos guys!!!!!!

  22. It’s UP-HELL alright….now ko lang naranasan sumakit yung leg and calf muscles ko sa race. But indeed it’s a wonderful and memorable experience. Sayang, didn’t have the time to ride the cable cars. We’ll certainly join again next year! Congrats and more power to Nathan..!!

  23. Sana may next year nathan run ulit. Dami kong nakilalang runners. I always run by myself but in this run… i can feel the warmth and joy of every runner, feeling ko friends ko silang lahat. Also tho very tiring yung course….. hindi ako nag sisi sumali dahil sa scenery. Winner! wala gaanong pollution. and the best part….. BULALO after run! waaahhh!!! sarap kumain!!!!!

  24. Epic run. We’re glad we joined this event.

I myself try to shadow some runners.

This run trumps everything else this year.

  25. we came all the way from Davao just to conquer Tagaytay Highlands and yes we made it! This is one memorable run for me and my officemates…

  26. The run was epic! I couldn’t stop myself from admiring the breathtaking and exhilarating views! Haha, ’twas also fun to hear the cusses and grunts of fellow runners during the race.

Thanks and kudos to Nathan, for providing us with a one-of-a-kind experience (the best I have so far) we will definitely never forget! We’re looking forward to next year’s run!

  27. My husband didn’t run at all. But he has a race result? The one at rank 31. That’s not him. And his bib was in the car all the time. We even used the meal stub after.

  28. @khen

yes. depending on the race, runningmate usually removes the RFID tag upon crossing the finish line. This is a way of reducing costs by reusing the RF tags.

  29. This was my 12th fun run event. It was one of the best events I have experienced. I had no problem following the route as it was either well marked or there were people directing us along the way. There was so much support along the course. Even the people driving by were supportive and gracious. The stations were great and so helpful. This was a beautiful course, very scenic, some hills and fun atmosphere and also the name of this company PILIPINAS PORTALET RENTAL SERVICES, it was my first time to see a kind of portalet or portable restroom with automatic flush, yung design ng portalet nakaka attractive, malinis and comfortable to use. Unlike when I experienced on the fun run event in Taguig area and pasay area ang mga portalet nanakikita ko marumi, nagkalat ang mga basura sa loob at smell bad. The course gave us a great tour of the area. I felt safe at all the intersections due to the officers directing traffic. I will return for another year for sure. Thanks to all those who helped make it happen.

  32. Guys,

Does anyone know where to get the pictures taken in the “Peak” ? Appreciate it very much. Many thanks in advance !

    regards,

  33. How many runners all in all? For 21K, 10K and 5K? Its hard to gauge yourself especially in the 10K where you’ll be receiving a medal once you’re included in the top 100 but you don’t know exactly if there are 150, 200 or 300 who ran the 10K event.

  34. @ dbron

. .me prizes daw pro dalawa lng binigyan per category eh 3 yung may award. . .me finisher shirt daw pra sa top 10 kzo di binigay tinago bigla ganda p nmn. . . .tsk!tsk! kawawa nmn mga pinoy runners n gsto manalo at lumalaban ng patas. . . ganda na sana may challenge sa mga foreign runners kzo di me lam bkit pinaba2yaan ntin n me manglamang. . .
