Rave for Art
The triology opens on December 10 with a benefit exhibit to be unveiled at the lobby of the newly-inaugurated Sun Life Centre, a pioneering GREEN structure in Bonifacio Global City.
Themed “Panoramic Portals,” the 24-piece visual piece features Pascual’s latest photo collection side by side with original artworks hand-drawn by a Hebreo scholar who happens to be an upcoming artist as well.
“This is an exciting twist for SunPIOLOgy as we help showcase one’s talent so that he can continue his education. I hope this exhibit will be a treat for collectors and art enthusiasts who are on the lookout for promising artists,” shares the Hebreo Foundation founder.
The SunPIOLOgy 2012 Exhibit will be on display at the lobby of Sun Life Centre from December 11 until the eve of the photographer’s birthday on January 12, 2012. Online bidding to own a PIOLO original is available within the same period.Run to Raise Funds
Next to kick off is the “Sunset Run” which celebrates good health and the exhilaration of conquering one’s goals and aspirations, no matter the distance. “Running is a meditation for me, a time to think and just let myself go. It is also a challenge to see how far I can go,” volunteers Piolo who himself, is a triathlete and a competitive runner.
The race begins with a Vertical Run at the Sun Life Centre at the corner of 5th avenue and Rizal Drive Road. Races for 3k, 5k and 10k distances will commence one after the other a few blocks away at the 11th Avenue, North Bonifacio. A 500-M costume run is open for kids age 5-10 years old.Raise Funds for Education
“Our collaboration with Piolo, which we have called SunPIOLOgy, is growing stronger now that we’re on our third year. The more than a million pesos we have raised so far benefited many indigent but deserving students under Hebreo Foundation. 800php for 10k? WOW… I can run 10k at the BGC and only shell out less than 100pesos for my Gatorade.

Haven’t tried a vertical run – won’t it be crowded sa stairwell? Based from the map in other sites, parang sa isang set ng stairs lang yun route.

disappointed with the distribution of singlets/racekits… we registered for the vertical run and hoping to get the vertical run singlets, we registered thru RUNNRS TRINOMA, the sales lady told us that there will be available singlets and sizes are available on the event day itself, we were also advised to go there early.. alas once we got to the event, no singlet for the vertical run,and they ask us to wear the regular 10k runners shirt instead..sana lang next time i communicate ng organizer na malinaw regarding the availability of the race kits/singlets para walang mag expect.. ang masaklap pa nito we have to walk 15 mins to get to the sunlife building, kasi nagpark kame near the activity area ng event mismo.. kasi hindi din malinaw na hiwalay ang distribution area ng sa vertical run at sa 5k,10k run… sobra hassle and we came all the way from fairview pa… yun lang naman ang gripes ko but for the event itself eh ok naman..
