at paunang tanong, para hnd ako mag mukhang masungit kagaya last milo run… “may time barrier ba ang bawat categories? at anong mangyayari kung hindi maabot ang goal ng time barrier na ito?

salamats. malayang pag papahayag lamang, wag mag react kung hindi rin lang maayos ang isasagot.

  2. @ian

If I’m not mistaken, I think all the events are open, except the 42Km in which case you should have qualified through any of the earlie Eliminations staged throughout the year, all over the Philippines.

  3. @ian carlo

hi there! unfortunately its only applicable to runners who qualified for 42K last July during the Manila Elims and to the 21K qualifiers in the provincial legs. the prov qualifiers automatically got a slot for the full marathon this Dec. 11 Finals.

dont worry, good luck for next year, ian.

  4. so kung tumakbo ka na nung july for 10k, you need to register again para makatakbo dito? and panu kung ayaw mo kumuha ng singlet kc meron ka na, may discount kaya?

  5. @makamundo

opo, you need to register again with any
    distance except 42K.

discount w/out singlet? im afraid wala.
you take it or leave it for the same price. yun ang alam ko.

but in some races may alam ako, they have an option of a lower reg fee w/out singlets.

  6. //waaaah..!!! if ever, it’s back to back with Corregidor on Dec 10, Milo Dec 11 (morning), and company year end party dec 11 (evening)..aaargh..!!!

  7. guys….. if ever a qualifier for MILO 21k or 42k, do I still need to register & pay for the amount specified in the event? Just asking since it’s only my first time ever to join in this prestigious marathon.

    Appreciated your kind response.

    Thank you.

  8. @passionista

Only MILO 42K qualifiers are exempted from any reg fees. meaning they are not going to pay for anything. even their shirts/singlets are going to be covered by Milo.

For distances 21K and below, we need to settle the required reg fee.

Have fun and enjoy your first MILO Run!

  9. @caviterunner..oi anu na yan decide decide decide..hahahha kaya pala eto na dec.11 skeds nagpakita na…hmmm..anung K naman tayo dito budddy?…save the date ba,,haha too near para sa ating pinaghahandaang 9th Animo run hehe..:-)

  10. @SuPLaDo_aKo

  11. //whew..! @barefootdaves: my friend and i didn’t make it to the HK marathon..the 42 and 21k slots have been filled… :(

  12. @juvy.. balak ko tumakbo ng 21K dito.. pero iniisip ko tatakbo tayo dun sa 500k vs. cybercrime on Dec.10.. if that’s the case mag 3k ako dun mag 21 ako sa milo..

You can also check it out on the milo website for registration entry and more info regarding sa race.

  15. huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhu
gs2 ko pa naman ito ang maging
    unang marathon ko…
    wala nb kong choice????
    QCIM na lang tlga ata…
    21k nlng ako d2…….
my medal din ba 21k finishers?

  16. Already regstered yesterday at Planet Sports Glorietta, and yes makukuha na agad ang singlet. Only M and L sizes are available. 26G Milo pack is acceptable.

  17. wala pang race bib for 5k next week pa daw kaya d pa pwedeng magpa register for 5k sa mga gusto mg pareg ng 5k info lng po para d sayang punta nyo.

  18. If you want a very convenient in-store registration, you should try The Athlete’s Foot at Robinson’s Galleria. Even if you don’t bring a Milo sachet, they’ll find a way for you to register. No hassles of long queue, it saves a lot of time.

  19. As of above (42K – PHP 500 (For Milo Marathon Elimination Race Qualifiers Only)
So those qualifiers will still have to pay to register?

  20. @Ms_Mars

i think this one got clarified already. qualifiers doesn’t need to pay for their entry fee. this was included in the race rules they’ve released in part of the Manila Elims campaign

  21. @barefootdaves

thanks for the update, daves. that’s what i’ve known esp right after the Elims in July.
then a different version would surface that qualifiers still need to pay. confusing some infos. thnx again ;)

  23. @gfxsplatter
that depends what distance your running for CIHM. if only 10K, bka pwede kpa mag 21K for MILO Finals the ff day and if makakuha ka rin ng boat ride to Manila after the race on the 10th.

but if back2back 21K, ngek, hwag npo at tuluyan lng mabugbog ur legs.

  24. @Ms_Mars meron npong scheduled trip that afternoon of the 10th… Mag easy run lang ako sa Milo.. gusto ko lang ienjoy ang running with the fellow runners :) CIHM easy run lang din siguro since I’ll be running the 42k @ QCIM eh.. parang recovery run ko yung dalawang 21k :D

  25. i just dropped by din kagabi sa tobys moa to reg sana for milo hehe unfortunately ulit dko nbasa na me cut off time na 8pm hayz,,galing p nmn ako ng cavite and it is a matter of minutes after 8pm.smntlang ang run for bgc ongoing din dun sa booth,,medyo masungit ang nasa reg booth kagabi ha..as in..sa runrio organizers ba yung mga taong yun??well calling coach rio ha..mdyo dpat konting respect sa mga nagttanong dun about the reg,,bakit yung sa nbpower run na staff ng runrio sa the athletes foot sa robs place manila accomodating..hayz.,

  30. Hi, I am from California, USA and ill be in the Philippines the first week of december. so yeah… im just wondering if im allowed to run the Manila Finals Marathon on December 11, 2011? are there any requirements to run it? The word “Finals” kinda throws me off.. lol i dont know if first time runners are allowed. if so, i’ll be happy to be a part of it (: Thanks in advance!

  31. wow. 21k,target ko yan dis coming milo marathon.. i will be running this coming sunday 10k, kelangan after ng run united mga 3 or 4 times a week ang takbo ko in preparation for the 21K.. goodluck..

  33. ask ko lang po sana if ung singlet ung tinatawag na bib number ehh for 100php… thanks for the fast reply! god bless!

  34. @Peej_Runner, bat b sikat n sikat ang Ms_Mars n yn? personal opinion ko, f u had not ran b4, betr start muna 3k – 5k – 10k – 16k bago u mag-21k.

even athletes in other fields train for this.

anyway, f ur a basketball player or soccer player halimbawa, maybe u can start n w 5k.

speaking of 5k, paregister me, hubby, 2kids today, tkbo kmi lhat for 5k.

    so kitakits!

  35. @Robin Velasco
we welcome you in advance during first wk of December. there’s a lot of foreigners and balikbayans who run for MILO marathons.

just like what mr pinoyfitness has mentioned, you can run any distance except for the 42K since its already closed for qualified runners.

we look forward to be running 21K with you then. stay in touch! good luck with training.

  36. @drunner> Bro, maganda naman siguro intention ni Ms. Mars to answer the questions of some bloggers here, especially if the question is addressed to her.

He He He

  37. @Peej_Runner
hello there. since you’re a first time runner, its technically not advisable to run 21K agad. its not good getting injured. give time for your body to adjust to the demands of mileage increase coupled with proper and wise training. there’s a lot of running programs for beginners na kapupulutan mo ng maraming infos.

why don’t you join our Community Forums? we have a lot of helpful topics there, from diff runners.

just like what @drunner has already mentioned (thanks Doc Gerds) most runners (even the elites)start from 1.5K 3K and work their way up until 21K 42K and even ultra marathons of 50K and beyond. take your time, dont be in a hurry. enjoy your runs, enjoy your distances and you’ll realize why later ;)

    good luck!

  38. @Rotech
hello and musta po? thank you for your reply and compliments. naks naman! actually magka-kilala po kami ni @drunner (aka Doc Gerda) and yes, she is a female runner. she and her hubby are passionate with running, just like the rest of us here.

i believe Doc didnt mean any harm with her question when trying to assist the query of Peej_Runner.

kita kits po tayo sir Rotech sa next run event nyo ah. im guessin, Camp Run Series2?

  39. @Ms Mars. I want them to have first hand experience of the races.

Sensya na Peej_Runner, nagbibiro ka lang pala. Peace be with you, mam.
