Now on its tenth year, the Makiling Campus Runners will be holding the annual Makiling Challenge. This year’s race will feature 5km, 10km and a new 21km distance. The route will tour you along the scenic views of Mt. Makiling and the UPLB campus.

I think i will join the 21k event.Every year this have new challenge.Last year i joined the 16k as part of their level-up challenge.This time,on their 10th year,may newest challenge which is the 21k….sana lang may medal ang finishers just like the other elite fun run….cu runners…:)

Go BEYOND half-mara…mas exciting. This shall be more catchy than Jose Rizal run at MIM. More people from the south are thriving for events near us to save then for reg fees and toll fees.

As for the shuttle, we will try to negotiate for one especially if there will be a lot of runners coming from Manila.

Within the week, I will inform you where the registration site/s in Manila will be. We are currently negotiating with Toby’s sports regarding this.
We are in the process of trying out the race routes ourselves to make sure that they are safe, yet challenging. We also want a route that is different from the usual city routes, and past Makiling Challenges. The race maps will be available by this week, so stay tuned.

Good news! We will be accepting registration at Toby’s Festival Mall, Alabang. As of the moment, Runnr BHS is fully booked, so we would like to know which Runnr/Toby’s store would be most convenient for registration.
//Commuting from Metro Manila
Take any Public Utility Bus travelling to Sta. Cruz, Laguna. (HM terminal in Cubao, passing through EDSA, GreenStar and DLTB from LRT Buendia. There are also buses from Alabang and Calamba)
Tell the conductor that you will get off at College.
At College, get off at the Caltex Gas Station and take the Jeepney with UP College sign board. Pay the minimum fare.
You may ask the jeepney driver to drop you off at your specific UPLB campus destination (or near it).
HM Transport trip schedules:
1st trip – Cubao to Sta.Cruz 3:20AM, last trip at 9:30PM, spaced around 20 mins apart.
GreenStar trip schedules:
1st trip – LRT/Buendia to Sta.Cruz 3:20AM, last trip at 9:30PM, spaced around 20 mins apart.
Jeepneys to UP College are available almost 24 hours.

sir @gavi: we had the tailor make a new one but it was only implemented in the second batch of singlets. they said that they didn’t have the same font that we used, so they changed it.

unfortunately, we ran out of race kits, so we can’t set up a registration booth in UP Diliman tomorrow, Sept 4. But we’ll be there next weekend, Sept 10 and 11. New batch of race kits will be available this week. :)

hi sir kiko, we understand your sentiment pero medyo marami rin kami na manggagaling po dito sa manila. ako po mag fifirst trip ng 3:20AM.. sang ayon sa nabasa ko 2 hours daw po travel nung bus sa umaga if 5:30am gun start dun kami nag aalangan .. maganda sana till 6am gun start. Rest assure marami makakaabot at makapag warm up. tnx gud luck runners
