  1. Last year I ran 5k only, it was actually my 2nd fun run, this year I’m running 21k and this would probably my 6th or 7th 21k run (will be 1 year in running by then) hopefully will be able to run full marathon by next year for MILO :-)

  2. @Tekla – galing naman… I only started running March of this year and I’ll do my first 10k on June 11. I’ll build up my mileage so that for next year’s Milo Marathon, 21k or even 42k na. hope to see you on race day.

  3. @Bingski Train well and good luck to your first 10K. I did mine last Brook’s. :)

Is runrio also organizing provincial elims?

  4. @ Bingski, you’ll be surprised baka nga by next year’s MILO you’d be running 42k na, I’m planning to run my first full marathon on Dec. for Standard Chartered in Singapore, if not baka next Condura Skyway Marathon na :-)

  5. @Bingski: i’ll see po muna the result of MIM and yung reaction ng body ko saka ako magdedecide to go for 42k din dito with a qualifying time goal. =)

  7. @Bingski: i’ll research first on the net if its dangerous to run a 42k on two consecutive months…(june-july) and listen to my body first.

    >if you join 10k in the elimination pwede pa mag join sa finals for 42k category?

  8. advice lang po, to those who will take a 42K dapat at least more than 40K ang weekly mileage nyo pra ready ang katawan nyo sa 42K, madali magsalita pro yun katawan at isip natin ang sasabak sa mahabang takbuhan na to…

  9. @c21-yan yung time if gusto mo mag join or ma qualified para sa national final sa december pero if not ang cut off time nila sa 42k ay 6 hours w/c I think kaya naman ng powers mo. But make sure na papasok karin sa designate time limits at specified distances…at 21k – 3 1/2 hours time limit and at 32k – 5 hours ang time limit. Kaya mo yan!! Most likely it will be my 2nd full mary after ng MIM. Answer?

  10. @ gumihorunner : thanks for the advice. so, ibig sabihin, ‘pag 21k ang tatakbuhin, kailangan at least 19-20k a week ang mileage? any other advice para sa aming mga newbie? anyway, 2 buwan pa na preparation to

  11. tanong lang po…kailangan ba matapos yung 21k run within 2 1/2 hours para mabigyan ng medal or basta matapos lang, may medal ka pa rin?

  12. @ gumihorunner: thanks for the advice…ibig sabihin ba ‘pag 21k kailangan at least 19-20k ang mileage per week? any other advice for newbies like me?

  13. gumihorunner: than you for the advice… =)

yingski: if i’ll be healthy after MIM i might join you here again. =)

    cecille: go go po! =)

  14. @c21- Keep running but run safe! Hope to c u sa future race. Maybe sa Mizuno?! 21k ako don at target to clock in less than 2 hours. @cecille- yes mam kaya nyo po yan basta enough rest lang before race day.

  15. @BOY_TAKBO:Post No. 26 – you need to reach the turning point(half of 21k) w/in 1 1/2 hour otherwise, the marshalls will not let you continue with the 2nd half of the run. Not sure if after passing the first half but upon reaching the finish line outside of the cut-off time, the runner will still receive a medal.

  16. @yingski: thank you! I’ll not be able to join Mizuno (out of town). Good luck to your goal, that’s my goal too…I finished my first 21k at 2:19.

  17. @boy_takbo yes, kelangan develop mo yung strength, speed, endurance, aerobic capacity mo, pra makayanan mo yan

  18. @c21 – oki! Maybe sa MIM na tayo mag meet. I’ll be happy if to clock in 1:45 for my upcoming first 21k (mizuno). @boy_takbo – Yap! May medal ang 21K finisher as long as pasok ka sa 2 1/12 hours cut-off time pero dapat mo rin ma reach ang 10k w/in 1 1/12 hours for the designated time limit ng 21K runners or else ma disqualified ka

  19. @Ben.W: Its possible bec. last year all registrants for all categories were required to bring a 300gm of milo pack besides the reg. fee and the race pack& singlet was given right away.

  20. will definitely join :)
34th milo last yr was my 1st 10k run and it ignited my passion for running. i’ll be running my 6th 21k here!(4th is aktv run tomorrow, and 5th is yamaha run). i think my gf and my sister will join too!

though i had very negative experience with regards to baggage last year, im hoping rio and co will take care of this.

anyway, see you all on the road!

  21. @ gumihorunner: thanks so much for the advice :D

  22. @didoy15 there will be designated cut-off time for every specified distance. you need to reach the first U-turn (10k)w/in 1 1/2 hour, then 2 1/2 hour to finish the race. I’m not sure how would they stop runners who fails to reach those marks. goodluck AND TRAIN HARD

  23. Will be registering later at ROX before the Mizuno Run Club session. 10k muna, hopefully next year 21k or 42k na, who knows hehhehehe

  24. Ask ko lang po if pwede 2makbo ang parents kasama ang anak na 12 yrs old sa 5k? Last year we joined this event walang age bracket pero ngayon hanggang 18 y.o. lang ang 5k.

  25. It’s confusing kung may minimum grams na required for Milo empty pack. Some said to bring a 300 grams pack (sa ibang forum sites). Hindi kasi clear, unlike last year na nakaspecify talaga. Can anyone from the organizer help us?

  28. wow ang dme ata ng freebies now sa 42k compare to last year.

sna mag provide ng energy gel at saging katulad last year

  29. newbie here, planning to join 10k.. may cut-off dn po ba sa turning point ng 10k, which is 5k? (sana tama ang tanong ko..)

  30. @raven – there’s no cut-off time on the turning point for 10k. As long as you finish the 10k in 1.5 hrs, you’re good. Join us in the Pinoyfitness forum !

Doon ang official reg booth ng Runrio for this event. They also accept any size of empty pack from 20g to 1kg.

  32. @rhn

  34. Hi!
I am Noel Evasco. VP for External Affairs of JEMA a school-based organization in PUP-Taguig. We we’re just alarmed about the price of 5K run. Is it possible to have a student discount for that? Is it also possible to have MILO marathon registration in our school? Thank you! We will look forward to your response.

  35. 20.Each race category has an official cut-off time.

  36. @Noel Bon Evasco – I suggest you contact Milo directly about your queries/request. I wonder how much ba yung 5k sa MILO before.

@yingski – injured ka? lapit na MIM… you’re right, pagaling ka ng husto, bawi na lang sa MILO.

  37. @Bingski – Yes mam injured po ako. After ng 15K (15.6K) integrity run ko (sunday)The following day ay nag open naman ang annual basketball tournament namin sa office. Na over fatigue yata kasi wala ako palitan from 1st quarter hanggang 4rt quarter. Parang member ako ng 1st five player up to last five player hehehe… Sana nga maka run ako ng maayos sa Mizuno this coming saturday.

  38. Bukas ako paregister @ MOA for 21k (takot ako sa 42k baka magkawindang-windang, hehehe). Pahingi naman po tips on how to avoid muscle fatigue sa quadriceps and calves. Aside from that, wala na ako problem, my cardio is excelent and no big deal din saken ang hydration. Tnx ^__^

  39. done! Nag register kami knina sa planet sports glorietta.. Ill run with my cousins, bf and mOm. She’s 64 pero nakikipagsabayan sakin sa 5k. Hahaha..
