IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
– Registration may end earlier than announced deadline therefore; race kits may run out before June 26, 2010.
– A valid ID must be presented upon registration. For group registration, a photocopy of any valid ID must be presented by the representative.
– Singlet size availability will be on a first come first served basis.
– A disposable timing device will be used by all participants during the race.
– Medals and Finisher’s shirt will be given to all 21km finishers only.
– Finisher’s kits will be given upon finishing the race.

looks like a nice run to start for July, with attractive finisher’s shirt and eye catching medal design. I will definitely run for 21k, as scheduled with Independence Day Run . Two unforgettable RUN with special events for all Filipino people. Happy and Safe running to all. God Bless us all !
Just to let you know I went to register yesterday as was advertised and guess what ? No race kits yet ! I tried three stores and no kits this is very frustrating especially if you have to travel some distance to register
Hi Lain, yah I inquired at ROX thru phone if not this week ,next week will be the delivery of the race kits for early registrants, but singlets will also be available perhaps next week also upon registration. but i would suggest you call first the nearest outlet where you can register, really a waste of time and frustrating on your part.

are you sure that singlets are NeW BALANCE singlets?
because they have the same claim for the AKTV FUN RUN singlets, but later they omitted the word placed NEW BALANCE.

I registered yesterday @ ROX for ADBR… I agree the singlet was so disappointing mabuti na lang di pa ako nakakapag register online… kung hindi another frustration na naman for me courtesy of run rio :(

I think ang nakakadalawang isip ay…sobrang expensive n ang mga running events. Kung sabagay, business nila kc yun mag-organize ng running events.

just started using a compression shirt today for ACTV run since i really hate the chaffs on my arms afterwards.
and i have submitted to the fact that the not too small fees in runs like these are just for running itself, regardless of pre and post race freebies…
HOWEVER… if we would be strict about it, false advertising is still a bad thing and if they mentioned NB singlets and give otherwise, then i think that Runrio is going to destroy the giid reputation they have built in the past years.
i respect Runrio as an organizer and still find their races well organized, but if this is a case of false advertising, let us hope that it would not come to some legal action.

DI pa din available singlets sa Galleria. Pero di kasalanan ng runrio…Defective mga prints dun sa singlet, yung sample nga nila baliktad logo ng Runrio e haha!
Anyway, same naman ang quality with Goldilocks run a…NB pa din siya…mukha pa ding worth 795 Php hehe…

For those who call themselves “runners” to give u a heads up, once u register the proceeds go to the Hero Foundation and u run because you love the sport. Again, do not register for freebies, singlets etc., or u might end up complaining again bec. the freebie does not worth the amount u paid for the event. Come on baka mag expect pa kayo ng free helmet and motorcycle dahil ang sponsor YAMAHA :P that’s totally crap

planning to run a 10k here. mahal nga sya kung di ka concerned sa mga makukuha mo out of the race aside from running with controlled traffic. hope I can run my first 21k this November sa Unilab.

planning to run 10K.. if I want the run I will run no matter what, if I want the singlet I will buy the singlet kahit hindi tumakbo… minsan din kasi nakakadismaya ibang organizer ang daming publicity, kesyo may ganito may ganyan but when we received the loot bag puro papel lang ang laman.. kaya tayong mga runners, let’s lower our expectation na lang let’s just run!

just got registered yesterday for 21k!!! manipis nga yung singlet but who cares, basta enjoy na lang sa Run. … then another 21k sa Rexona Run, …..Run samson Run!!!!

despite the concerns on the singlet quality and appearance of the finisher’s medals, very few freebies, late gunstarts, etc etc.
these issues will always take place in most run events…so why fret?
and for sure your grandkids will really really feel proud of your running accomplishments yrs from now…now pa lang, im wishing you mega CONGRATS! wohoo!

just my humble opinion, 2 cents lang…before my first half-mary,I went through the usual gradual increase in mileage (5K, then 10K then 16…) plus the usual practice runs siyempre….
assuming lang you went through those things also, I humbly suggest that you do your first half-mary in an organized and reputable event… so far, organized naman ang events ng runrio….
dont pressure yourself in giving any PRs yet…consider your first 21K as just another 16K plus 5 …bring your own hydration to be sure…on the presumption that you gained enough mileage, certainly, you’ll be ok….good luck…

@oliver, singlet is only one of the tons of things we pay for a race. there is also the marshals, hydration, and most important of all is the safety of the runners while having fun in the sport that we all love. also, organizing a race is very very expensive already compared to last year. renting out a place takes a big chunk of it. isa pa, if there will be 10k runners yamaha will be donating P1M to HERO Foundation

//the reason why some singlets are not available yet, according to runrio staff (toby’s moa) — is that, they have modified the singlet design. they should be made available once the printing is completed. in the meantime, anyone can still register and wait to be notified when the singlets are ready for pick up.
