MANILA—About 2,500 runners are expected to answer the starter’s gun when the 22nd Annual Yakult 10-Miler fires off on March 27 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex in Manila.
Defending champions Rene Herrera and Marecil Maquilan head the list of top runners and a horde of upcoming long-distance racers vying in the 22nd edition of the country’s premier 10-mile race that also finishes at the CCP.
Listing starts today at Mizuno outlets at Trinoma Mall in Quezon City, SM Megamall, and Bonifacio High Street in Global City.Registration fee is P300. Deadline for listing is March 21.
Participants will receive singlets, and all finishers will get Yakult T-shirts, certificate of completion and Yakult health drink.
Trophies and merchandise will also be disputed in the 5K fun run and a 3K kiddies race, according to Michael Ong, manager for sales and planning of Yakult Philippines.
The top three finishers in both the men’s and women’s 10-miler will win cash prizes.
Herrera and Maquilan won with a time of 53:23.3.21 and 1:05.14, respectively, last year.

@jobz, tama let’s call muna the mizuno stores before going. kasi kanina effort pa ko pumunta sa trinoma, and then i was told na wala na silang available forms and baka on friday pa sila bibigyan. how sad :( sana tomorrow meron na.

I was able to register this noon @ McKinley Park Pavillion in North Greenhills near Club Pilipino.
Unfortunately, wala na silang singlets. Php200 nlang ang reg fee

wala na sa mizuno megamall, pumunta ako dun nung fri (mar 18). sabi nung matabang clerk sa mizuno bhs na lang daw meron. tska 5 km na lang daw ang open nung time na yun…
