What is Crossfit?
CrossFit is elite fitness for everyone at – from couch potatoes to seasoned athletes. It is a program that was originally developed by legendary coach Greg Glassman after his many years of watching, working with, and coaching all types of people.
CrossFit workouts are constantly varied movements executed at high intensity, thus every workout is different and you will rarely do the same thing twice. The workouts themselves are completely scalable, which means that a new participant and an elite athlete can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. CrossFit workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness in and of themselves or as a compliment to your sport-specific training regime.
Crossfit workouts are a combination of Cardio, Track & Field, Plyometrics, Rowing, Gymnastics, Kettlebell and Weightlifting. You will be doing the workout together with other Crossfitters of all ages and all fitness levels.
The workouts are rarely more than 45 minutes long and so they can fit into even the busiest schedules.
CrossFit is FUN! Our coaches and participants are welcoming, supportive, and committed to creating an environment where everyone can succeed.
Basically, CrossFit is not your ordinary workout, but it is for ordinary people looking for extraordinary results.

That’s all folks! Simple and easy! GOODLUCK!
Presently, I’m into outdoor running and been enjoying the rush in every race. I’m running every Wednesday with a group and even weekends, Sunday. I want to develop my stamina and endurance for better result. As part of my extraordinary 2011 New Year’s Fitness resolution, aside from outdoor running. I want to engage in sports or any specific discipline. I’m planning to maintain my running lifestyle and enforce it with other training program like CrossFit. So,I would be prepared for my plan to join a full marathon or any competitive sports.
Lately, since i started working here in Manila last May 2010 I used to run, swim, and bike. I always join running events at least ones a month, but most of the time twice a month. For me exercising or involving my self in sports makes me feel more healthy and confident in life. I started as a 3km jogger or walker and a non swimmer, now Im proud to say that I turned to be a half-marathoner (21Km runner) and a swimmer (300meters continues swim)as well. My 2011 Extraordinary New Years Fitness Resolution is that I would be able to engage in more unique and useful sports like martial arts and CrossFit in which my earlier history of sports will be enhance and further develop. Furthermore, I also want to accomplish a 42Km marathon and CrossFit exercises so that whatever discipline I will learn from it, I could also apply it in achieving my dream and goals in life.
Getting married in 2011 so I have a year to get so fit my wedding gown won’t weigh a thing! Moreover, I run, and as part of my extraordinary resolution, I want to take it more seriously, increase my endurance, make sure I don’t injure myself getting to my physical goals, and train for my first half-marathon by June.
My 2011 fitness resolution would be doing less workout but a more targeted one. Learned about CrossFit while reading the book “The 4-Hour Body” by Timothy Ferriss. Hope to incorporate it as part of my training for the Cebu 50km Ultramarathon Race. Looking forward for a faster and fitter me!
I’ve been running for 3 years now and as part of my 2011 Extraordinary New Year’s Fitness resolution I want to have cross training to incorporate it with my running, I need it to improve my cardiovascular fitness, increase my endurance, become injury free and have better times.
My New Year’s resolution is to continue running and increase mileage and to be able to do and finish my first Marathon. I also want to go back to the gym this year and improve my core strength.
I have been frequenting a gym for quite some time now, and I think I might already have formed a plateau in my progress chart. I am no longer as motivated to challenge myself in my workouts as I was when I started. Hence, I don’t get the results I want anymore and I feel that I might not be getting my money’s worth. Also, I have come to realize what I’ve read in some articles that most gym routines, especially those involving machines, do not necessarily exercise our muscles the way they ought to be used in the real world. In other words, these routines do not really make us more ‘fit’ for our activities outside the four walls of the gym. This 2011, I want to change all that. I seek challenge and progress in my workouts. I also want to truly have an improvement in my performance in the real physical activities that I do outside of the gym (e.g. wakeboarding, running, swimming, etc). And I believe that CrossFit training will help me achieve this goal.
i’m basically a person who loves to work out.Last year,my PT introduced me to Crossfit and Tabatha which we did for a month or so before he left for another country. I miss doing Crossfit. Was i happy to learn about Crossfit MNL. Now,i feel my work out will be raised to another level.
My 2011 Extraordinary New Year’s Fitness Resolution is to be able to run a half marathon or a full marathon at the very least at the last quarter of the year. Also, I want to try different things that would help keep my body fit. I believe that good exercise will help me in the long run!
thank you.
i planned to start the year right, and do the things i wasn’t able to do for the past year, like do some regular running, cross training, and the likes to make my body fit and feel more healthy inside and out. my 2011 extraordinary fitness resolution is to be able to level up in my running and keep fit.
I cant say I’m the athletic type of person but I have found running to be a great way to bust stress. I’ve been running since March 2010,last November, I had a work related back injury. During the time when I was having PT sessions, I truly missed running and being physically active in general. Through my Physical Therapist, I became aware that cardio isnt everything and strength training must never be neglected. Though my PT has cleared me for running, he also advised that i do strength training. I came across Crossfit through the Barefoot wear facebook page and I just had to try it out. I scheduled a trial session last January 22 and It blew me away. it was NOTHING like anything I’ve done before.
As part of my 2011 Extraordinary Fitness resolution, I will take care of myself more.My injury had given me a small glimpse of what I will become if I neglect myself. There is nothing to lose (except a few pounds) and everything to gain (decrease risk of heart diseases) when one exercises. Regular exercise has been associated with more health benefits than anything else known to man and in lieu with that, I will make it a point to exercise more, and exercise PROPERLY. The guys from Crossfit are amazing, motivating and inspiring. I believe they are the right people to go to for me to achieve my goal.
My 2011 Extraordinary Fitness resolution is to be able to run a 10k. I’ve always been a couch sloth and hate running. I love the outdoors, but always blame the heat for my lack of motivation to go running. I’d like to think that I’m moderately fit, but have the worst endurance in the whole entire world. I definitely need to work on that part of my exercise regime.
I’ve always been a fan of Crossfit, but never got a chance to be able to join. As a woman, lifting those kinds of weights always gets looks from others in the gym. A real shame for sure. Hopefully with Crossfit being here, it’ll debunk the belief that women shouldn’t be weightlifting.
Such a fail. Sorry, I live in Fort Bonifacio. :(
