I was chatting with a diver friend the other day and was reminded that this coming September 25, 2010 is the International Coastal Clean-up. I remembered my first clean-up dive a couple of years back and how much garbage we brought out of the sea, a nice feeling indeed knowing you helped our planet in some small way. Usually about 100-200 divers hit the resort with food, booze, bands and good diving.
So if you’re a diver or haven’t dived for quite some time like me, and is finding a reason to do so, this is a perfect opportunity for you to jump in.
I’ll try to compile all the coastal clean-up schedules that is happening in the month of September here, or email me if your resort is hosting one and when.
